Saylor stepped off the train and was escorted into the capitol building. She was led to a hotel-like room. She enters the room and the door shuts behind her. She tries to open the door but it is locked. Then she hears another door open and a faceless man walks through the door.
"Well, aren't you a pretty girl? Did you get dressed up for me?" The man says eyeing her up and down.
Saylor looks down and sees she's in a very revealing dress. Saylor tries to open the door again but it wouldn't budge.
The faceless man walks over to her and pins her against the wall. "Don't be scared... I'm going to take real good care of you." He said while stroking her cheek. "Don't touch me!" She protested. Saylor wanted to fight back but her body wasn't letting her. "Aw, it's cute that you think you have a choice.
Well, guess what... no one coming to save you." The man taunted. He started kissing her neck and he's hands started roaming her body. Saylor was screaming but nothing was coming out of her mouth.
The door opened and Saylor pushed the man off of her.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
She bolted out of the room and ran down a long hallway as the man chased her laughing. At the end of the hall was a door. She ran as fast as she could and opened the door. She quickly went inside and locked the door. She looked around at her surroundings and realized she was at home in her living room.
Saylor heard her mother's voice and ran upstairs.
She followed the voice to Finnick's room and opened his door. She saw her mom and Finnick when he was younger sitting on his bed. Finnick looked upset and her mom was comforting him. She walked in but stopped when they both looked at her, they looked angry. "Mom is that you?"She questioned. Finnick abruptly stood up and pointed his finger at her. "You! You're the reason I have to do this! It's all your fault." He yelled at her. Saylor was taken aback. "Finn? What are you talking about?" She asked not sure what was going on.
"I hate you! I wouldn't have to sell my body if it weren't for you!" He spat out.
"Finn... I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry" She sobbed and kept apologizing.
"Wake up... Saylor, wake up it's ok" She heard her brother say.
Saylor woke up in a panic and tears were running down her face. Where am I? Is it over? She thought.
"Saylor, you're ok. It was just a dream." Finnick said and sat on her bed. Saylor looks at her brother and then starts sobbing even harder. He leans over and hugs her trying to calm her down."I'm so sorry Finnick. I'm so sorry. I-" She says while holding on to her brother as if he would disappear.
"Shh, it's ok Sayy."He shushed her. He didn't know what her dream was about but he knew it wasn't her fault.
Finnick held his sister till she stopped crying. Saylor pulled away from Finnick and blew her nose. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked her.
Saylor nodded then explained her dream to Finnick.
" I knew it was a dream but it also felt so real." She said after she explained her dream. She didn't go into much detail about the first part of her dream as she didn't want to worry Finnick too much. "Saylor, I have never. And will never. Blame you for that. It was not your fault." He reassures her.
"I know Finnick, but I can't help but blame myself." She tells him.
Finnick sighs, He knows she probably will always blame herself no matter what. "Saylor I-" A knock on their front door Interrupts Finnick.
"Are we expecting anyone?" Saylor asks Finnick.
"I'll go answer it... I think it's Annie." Saylor perked "It's Annie!? I'm going to go shower then. I haven't seen her since before my games and I don't want to stink." She hops up and grabs some stuff from her
Closet. Finnick laughs at her reaction. " sounds good to me. you do stink." He says while leaving her room. Saylor throws her socks at him for his comment.
Saylor hopped into the shower excited to see Annie.
The last time she saw her was the day before the reaping. Annie didn't go to the reaping because of the trauma it brought to her.
(Flashback)
"I wish you luck at the reaping tomorrow. I would be devastated if your name was picked. I'm sorry I'm not going I-" Saylor quickly interrupted Annie "It's ok Annie, I completely understand. Don't worry about the reaping I'll be ok." Saylor reassures her. Annie hugs her and then gives her one last piece of advice. "Saylor, if you get picked. Don't get too close to your district partner. It will only cause more hurt." Saylor nodded. Then starts to think about it.
Don't get close to my district partner... that makes sense. because In the end, if we both make it we will have to kill each other. Or if they got killed and they were my friend that would hurt just as bad killing them myself.
Saylor takes a deep breath when she remembers the last piece of advice that Annie gave her. Annie is so strong... I don't blame her for the way she is. Losing your friend in the area is like losing a piece of yourself. She thinks.
Annie had watched her district partner die brutally too. It had really screwed her up after the games. Most of District 4 thinks she's insane. But Finnick and Saylor think differently of her.
Saylor finishes her shower and then gets dressed. She also switches out her bandage on her neck. She did it pretty fast, so she didn't have to look at the cut, then she quickly does her hair and then runs downstairs.
And sees Annie and Finnick sitting on the couch.
Annie hears her coming down the stairs so she stands up and holds her arms out to hug her.
Saylor runs into her arms and wraps her arms around her. Finnick sits there and watches them with a big smile on his face.
"I missed you Saylor, I'm so glad you're alright. I was so worried. " Annie tells Saylor.
"I missed you too" Saylor replied.
For the rest of the Afternoon, the three of them sat on the couch and talked. Saylor didn't want to bring up any bad memories for Annie so she kept the Hunger Games talk to a minimum.
As they were talking, someone knocked on their door. Saylor got up and opened the door. It was Baylee and Cecilia. " Surprise!" Baylee said while doing jazz hands. "What are you guess going here? I thought y'all were coming tomorrow?" She questioned then hugged Baylee. Cecilia walks in and then explains
"Well darling, everything has been pushed forward. Today you have your interview... Then tomorrow you have start the tour, you will first go to District 1 then end it at the Capitol for the party." Saylor looks at Cecilia then Baylee hoping they're kidding. Cecilia gives her an awkward smile. And Bayle gives her a sympathetic smile. "What? Why?" Finnick questioned. "We don't know... All we know is that it was President Snow's order. " Baylee explained.
Of course, it was... The quicker the tours over the quicker he ruins my life. Saylor thinks as she plops down on the couch. "That's so stupid! Couldn't he have given her one more day to relax?" Finnick stands up and rants, Annie grabs his hand in an attempt to calm him.
"I'm sorry Saylor... there's nothing we could have done." Baylee apologizes. Saylor sighs then stands up. "It's ok... Let's just get through this."
Baylee does Saylor makeup and hair, then helps her in her dress. This year the interview will be in frontof there house. So Baylee didn't do anything too extravagant.
(It's very light blue with a pearl finish)
"Ok girl, you look fantastic! " Baylee hyped her up while put on the finishing touchups. Baylee asked Saylor if she wanted her to cover any scars with makeup but Saylor said no. But Since Saylor's cut on her neck was still healing, they left the bandage on.
"3...2...1... people of Panem, I am sat with the winner for the 71st Hunger Games... Saylor Odair!! Now Saylor how are you? How does it feel to win the Hunger Games? " Caesar asks her.
It feels horrible.
"It feels like I'm the luckiest girl in the Panem." Saylor answers.
"Well, I think I speak for everyone else when I say that I was not surprised when you won. I think I can say the whole Capitol was rooting for you..." He says. Saylor gives him a fake smile.
The interview consisted of whole bunch of questions Saylor had to fake answers to. or questions that were too personal that she had to steer away from.
Saylor was so happy when the interview was over.
She found the questions to be insensitive and uncomfortable.
As soon as they were done they had to hop on the train to go to the capitol. Saylor went straight to bed as she was exhausted from the day.

Ok, this chapter was definitely a filler.
I don't think I'm going to write her whole victory tour. I have kinda lost motivation to write with these filler chapters. And the tour is not going to be that important to the storyline. But we shall see.
Ok I'm dumb and forgot the tour was first then the party so I switched Cecilia's line.
Also sorry if you ever see that the story is complete! I keep accidentally hitting the complete button.
Anyways thank you so much for reading!
