MAGNUS AND ELIZABETH STOOD IN THEIR KITCHEN AS THEY DANCED AND SANG TOGETHER WHILST MAKING BREAKFAST.
"You think they're up yet?" Lizzie asked softly as she and Magnus swayed back and forth whilst referring to Alec and Asakhe who had stayed over.
"If they are, let them have a moment together, maybe they'll finally admit what's been there all along." Magnus spoke softly before placing a kiss to his wife's temple.
"You think Alec will be at the celebration?" Lizzie asked softly as she rested her head on Magnus's shoulder,
"Absolutely, especially if Asa asks." Magnus replied honestly.
"I miss them Mags, I don't know if that void can ever be filled." Lizzie admitted honestly.
"Grief has no time limit my Liz and it's okay to miss them, nobody can ever take the impact that they had on you away and you don't have to force yourself to either." Magnus assured.
"It's just with the way things seem to be going, I'm worried we're going to loose our only granddaughter." Lizzie admitted honestly.
"I know what you mean." Magnus sighed softly holding Elizabeth closer to him if that were even possible.
MEANWHILE IN THE GUEST BEDROOM, ALEC AND ASAKHE WERE SLOWLY STARTING TO WAKE UP.
"Good morning." Alec greeted, his voice laced with sleep.
"Go back to sleep." Asa told her husband as she moved to snuggle closer to him, burying her head in the crook of his neck whilst Alec chuckled softly at her antics.
"I take it you slept well?" Alec asked playfully.
"Debatable." Asa mumbled.
"But you do make a really good pillow." Asa added making Alec laugh softly causing the girl to smile against the skin of his neck.
"I really don't wanna get up." Alec admitted as he began to run his fingers through Asa's hair causing the girl to hum contently.
"Then don't." Asa persuaded making Alec chuckle.
"Take a few minutes." Asa finished before lifting her hand so that it was resting over the covers before taking Alec's hand in hers.

ALEC AND ASAKHE HAD FINALLY FOUND THEMSELVES IN THE KITCHEN, WHERE THE BANE COUPLE STILL RESIDED.
The couple took turns getting ready, Asa using her magic to bring Alec's things over from their shared room at the institute whilst Asa's grandparents already had everything they knew she needed at their new apartment.
"Good morning." Asa greeted her grandparents, a soft smile playing on her lips.
"Morning my little glitter muffin." Magnus smiled fondly as he handed his daughter a freshly brewed cup of coffee which Asa took gratefully.
"Thank you." Asa thanked her grandfather who only smiled in return.
"What's for breakfast? It smells good." Alec spoke.
"Oreo pancakes and chocolate croissants." Lizzie smiled.
"Served with a side of Beyoncé." Magnus added joyfully before turning the volume up on his phone causing 'Formation' by Beyoncé to start playing through the speakers.
"Y'all haters corny with that illuminati mess." Magnus began to sing.
"Paparazzi, catch my fly, and my cocky fresh." Asa joined her grandfather.
"I'm so reckless, when I rock my Givenchy dress." Magnus continued.
"I'm so possessive, so I rock his Roc necklaces." Asa continued as she walked away and headed towards the living.
"My Daddy Alabama." Magnus sang.
"Momma Louisiana." Asa smiled.
"You mix that negro with that Creole, make a Texas bama!" The grandfather and granddaughter cheered.
Alec and Lizzie shared a look and Elizabeth couldn't help but chuckle and fondly shake her head at her husband and granddaughter.
"Oh my die hard, Beyoncé stans." Lizzie chuckled fondly.
The granddaughter and grandfather continued to vibe to the song leaving Alec and Lizzie to their own conversation.
Lizzie had re-entered the kitchen and sat down beside Alec only this time she held an album in her hands before placing it on the table.
"Don't tell Asa." Lizzie winked playfully as she slid the book over towards Alec who handled it carefully.
Alec opened the book and on the first was already met with the sight of a four year old Asa who had the biggest smile on her face as she held stuffed puppy in her arms.
"Awww, baby Asa." Alec cooed softly.
"I know right?" Lizzie agreed.
"She's so precious." Alec cooed as he continued to page through the album.
"Ohhh, okay, sassy princess." Alec chuckled as he found a photo of a six year old Asa wearing a leopard print dress with a fluffy boa draped over her shoulders wearing sunglasses and pouting.
"She's always been that way." Lizzie chuckled.
"Sassy, creative, never afraid to express herself, girl boss energy, energetic and so much more, it's all helped shape her into the beautiful young woman she is today." Lizzie told Alec.
The eldest Lightwood couldn't help but look back to where his wife was now dancing with her grandfather to 'Crazy in Love' by Beyoncé ft. Jay-Z.
"You've all helped raise an amazing young woman." Alec spoke softly, referring not only to the Bane couple but the downworlders in general.
The eldest Lightwood never thought he would be in an arranged marriage but he can't help but consider himself lucky that he got Asakhe out of it.
ALEC AND ASAKHE NOW FOUND THEMSELVES AT THE POLICE STATION MAKING THEIR WAY TOWARDS THE REST OF THE GROUP.
Cami had texted her parabatai stating that they needed more backup, the back up in this case being Alec and Asakhe, who were the only ones who had yet to join the others at the police station.
"Someone called for backup?" Asa questioned.
"Yeah, what took you guys so long?" Dani asked softly.
"I didn't hear my phone over the Beyoncé dance party I was having my grandfather." Asa shrugged unashamed.
"I was bitching about anything and everyone with Lizzie." Alec shrugged, a smile threatening to break out onto his face.
"She's the best person for that." Asa smiled, Alec agreeing with a nod.
"Did she tell you about her seelie friend?" Asa asked and Alec's eyes widened as he nodded.
"Yes! When I tell you I'm shook." Alec expressed.
"There's more where that came from." Asa told her husband.
"Alright gossip girls, focus." Cami cut in, a fond smile on her lips.
"We found the cup." Clary revealed, catching the couple up on what they had missed.
"The cup?" Asa asked for clarification as she out the emphasis on the word 'the'.
"Yeah." Clary nodded.
"But then we lost it, we have to sneak back into the precinct to get it." Clary explained.
The Lightwood couple sighed in perfect sync.
"This is a disaster." Alec sighed.
"Hey, demon pox is a disaster." Jace spoke up.
"So are you." Asa added and smiled when Jace turned to glare at her whilst her husband held back a chuckle along with the most of the others.
"We just need a plan, that's all." Jace finished.
"What about a glamour?" Izzy suggested.
"We tried that." Jace told her.
"Anybody working with Valentine will see right through it." Asa deadpanned for her sister in law.
"Can we ask Magnus Bane to portal us in?" Clary questioned.
"Absolutely not, you lot have abused my grandparents enough in the last 48 hours." Asa immediately shut the idea down, her protectiveness over her family shining through.
"Besides, Magnus can only portal to places he's been to before." Alec added, taking his wife's side.
Suddenly Clary's phone began to ring.
"Not again, give me a second." Clary excused herself before walking off.
Jace walked off after the girl and grabbed her phone, ending the call.
"Simons little problem can wait, I've got a great plan." Jace spoke.
Asakhe burst out into uncontrollable laughter to the point where she was leaning against Alec for support.
Everyone watched the raven haired girl as she laughed for the next few minutes.
Taking a deep breath to compose herself Asa finally stood up right.
"Oh, you were being serious?" Asa questioned when she saw the look Jace had given her.
"Damn, okay." Asa giggled.
"Just follow my lead." Jace instructed, rolling his eyes.
"Besides in my plan nobody gets slapped." Jace added,
"That can be arranged." Alec and Asa spoke in sync, with identical smirks on their faces causing the two to turn to each other with a mischievous twinkle in their eyes.
CAMILLA, ASA, ALEC, DANI, IZZY AND INDIANA ALL STOOD IN THE FRONT AREA OF THE STATION PLANNING THEIR NEXT MOVE.
"Okay, I'm guessing you're the distraction." Cami spoke turning to face Isabelle who shook her head in disagreement.
"Nope, I've decided to grow up remember?" Izzy reminded making Asa to snort amused, causing Isabelle to glare at her sister in law.
"We're gonna be here a long while." Asa smirked, not phased by Isabelle's glare.
Asa turned in the direction of the receptionist and quickly recognised the woman.
"Angelica!" Asa yelled as she approached the desk with a bright smile on her face, not realising she had just created the perfect distraction for the Lightwood siblings.
The woman in question, looked up from her and a large smile took over her features at the sight of the raven haired beauty approaching her.
"Asakhe!" Angelica greeted as she stood up from her chair and immediately reached over to hug Asakhe when the girl was in reach.
Growing up with Isiah and Luke as uncle figures and Faith as an aunty figure, Asa grew close to almost everyone who worked at the NYPD, all of them loving her as much as she did them.
"How are you gorgeous?" Angelica asked as the two pulled away from each other.
"I'm good, missing you all though." Asa pouted adorably as she leaned on the counter, resting her chin in the palm of her hand.
"Awww." Angelica cooed as she tapped Asa on her nose causing the girl to scrunch it making the elder woman laugh softly.
"DO YOU KNOW EVERYONE?!" ALEC QUESTIONED HIS WIFE AS THE LIGHTWOOD MADE THEIR WAY BACK OUTSIDE.
"Whatever do you mean?" Asa asked playfully causing Alec to fondly roll his eyes.
"Did you get it?" Cami immediately asked Clary and Jace as the group rejoined together.
"Theoretically." Clary nodded.
"Theoretically?" Alec and Asa questioned together.
"Yeah, I found the card but I just have to figure out how I reached into my notebook before....it's not an exact science." Clary explained.
"Can't you just pull the cup out?" Alec pushed.
"I can theoretically, I just...it's not as easy as it looks, Alec." Clary huffed in frustration.
"Listen, you two can discuss theory as much as you want when we get back to the institute." Jace started.
"Oh, so now you wanna go back to the institute?" Cami and Asa sassed in sync.
"But right now considering we just stole from the cops, I suggest we get home." Jace finished ignoring the pair of parabatai.
Asa had linked her hand with Alec's before speaking.
"Guys..I think the mundanes are the least of our problems." Asa informed causing everyone to look at her in confusion before taking note of her now pulsing necklace.
"At least we know the demon necklace works." Alec shrugged.
"Never a dull day, let's go." Asa smirked.
The group were quick to break out into a walk but they were apparently to quick for Clarissa who then spoke up.
"Guys, slow down." Clary asked causing the group to sigh as they did as asked.
"This is normal pace, you're gonna need to keep up little rose." Asa teased.
Just then a demon disguised as a grandma bumped into Asakhe making her glare at the creature.
"Watch where you're going grandma." Asa sassed before she stabbed the demon causing it to disintegrate.
"What the hell?" Clary breathed in shock.
"Language, not in front of grandma." Asa teased.
"How did it find us?" Cami spoke up confused.
"I don't know but she brought her crocheting club." Asa informed as she looked around.
"How can you tell?" Clary asked confused.
"It's like seeing through a glamour, you just gotta pay attention to the details." Sapphire told her sister.
"Behind us." Asa informed everyone, walking in sync with her husband who's hand she was still holding.
"There's too many people." Asa spoke again, voicing everyone's thoughts.
"Never thought I'd agree with you but Asakhe's right, we gotta get out of here." Jace spoke.
"You'll get used to me being right, I almost always am." Asa smirked before walking in a different direction, dragging her husband with her causing the others to all follow after the couple.
The group all found themselves running down a flight of stairs only to stop in front of a door.
"What's the unlock rune again?" Clary asked confused.
"My heel." Asa smiled before she kicked the door down and everyone rushed through it.
"That was incredibly sexy." Alec unashamedly admitted to his wife for her ears only.
"Thank you." Asa blushed.
Eventually the group found themselves approaching tunnels and the Lightwood couple shared a look before nodding as the finally let go of the others hand only for Alec to load his bow and Asa to grab her gold and silver pin out of her hair.
The dragon whipped roared as it unraveled itself.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Jace asked from behind the couple.
"Holding them off." Asa deadpanned the obvious.
"Take the Fairchild sisters back to the institute." Asa instructed.
"Asa, if you're staying, I'm staying, we fight together." Cami spoke softly, Jace agreeing.
"Don't be stupid, if the demons get the cup, we're dead anyways." Alec told his siblings.
"I'm not leaving anyone behind." Jace spoke strongly.
"Can you just follow instructions for once!" Asa snapped at the blonde boy.
"We'll be fine, we've got each other's backs." Alec assured his siblings.
With a sigh Cami nodded softly.
"Come on, Jace, they've got this, besides, it's not going to the be last time either of them save our asses." Cami told her blonde brother before the two walked off.
The others were soon gone, leaving the couple behind by themselves.
"This should be fun." Asa smirked as she turned to face her husband who returned her smirk.
A sound coming from the door caused the couple to snap their heads in that direction.
The figures revealed themselves and Asa scoffed softly as she and her husband stared at her uncles Isiah and Luke along with her aunt Faith in confusion.
"Seriously?" Asa questioned as she let her whip coil up her dominant arm (right).
"We need to find Clary." Isiah and Luke spoke in sync.
"You guys really aren't even gonna ask if Asa's okay?" Faith scolded her husband and brother in law as she approached the raven haired girl and wrapped her arms around in a hug.
Asa chuckled softly as she hugged her aunt back, smiling when Faith kissed her temple before pulling away.
THE LIGHTWOOD COUPLE HAD MADE THEIR WAY BACK TO THE INSTITUTE AFTER A WHILE AND ASA INSTANTLY BEGAN HER WALK TOWARDS RACHEL'S ROOM.
The Blackthorn~Lightwood woman knew she needed to talk to her sister and she needed to do it now.
Asa took a deep breath to prepare herself for the conversation that was about to take place as she stood outside Rachel's room.
The raven haired girl knocked on the door and waited.
"Come in." Rachel's voice called out and Asa did so before entering her sisters room and closing the door behind her.
"Hey, what's up birthday girl?" Rachel teased fondly.
"We need to talk." Asa announced seriously.
"Of course, sit down." Rachel spoke quickly, recognising how serious Asa was being.
Both girls now sat beside each other on the Lewis girls bed.
Asa took a deep breath before speaking up.
"Rach, there's no easy way to say this but...I think Simon is transitioning into a vampire." Asa revealed to her friend.
"What?" Rachel spoke softly, shock coursing through her.
"Why? How?" The Lewis girl questioned.
"He's extremely cold Rach, not even hypothermia would be as cold as Simon is right now." Asa started to explain softly.
"He also has this undeniable strength that he's never had before." Asa continued.
"What do I do Asa?" Rachel asked her friend softly.
"There's not much you can do because if anything Simon is most likely already in transition and if push comes to shove, you'll either have to bury Simon and lay him to rest peacefully or bury him before sunset but he comes back only this time having to finish the transition." Asa explained softly.
Rachel let out a shaky sigh as she took in all the information her sister was giving her.
On the one hand Rachel really didn't wanna believe what Asa was telling her as she can't even begin to imagine her life without her little brother in it and she knows Asa doesn't want to imagine a life without Simon either.
On the other hand Rachel knows Asa would never play with her feelings especially when it comes to something as serious as what Asa has just told her especially knowing how difficult it must've been for Asa to come to the realisation that Simon was in transition and then muster up the courage to tell her,
The Lewis girl rested her head on Asa's shoulder and squeezed Asa's hand tightly when the Lightwood girl placed her hand in her own, grateful for her grounding presence.
"Thank you for telling me." Rachel spoke softly.
"Of course." Asa instantly replied, her tone the same as Rachel's.
"We'll get through this together." Asa assured her sister.
"Together." Rachel finished, just as the first tear slid down her cheek.
