(A cast of silhouetted monologue is pieced throughout the majority of the episode)
(It opens up as frayed watercolor paper, a little painted ember lights up as we start the monologue)
(The monologue is voiced over by a deepened male)
Narrator: Once apon a time, a flame from Iblis, the Flames of Disaster, gave life to a creature, also known as a Phoenix.
(The flame then turns into the Phoenix)
Narrator: Two Phoenix were created in total. A male and a female. One's name was Rinskoul (rin-skull/soul) and the female was Remitty. (Rem-itty) Both lived in harmony as they traveled across the great sky's giving light in what was once dark. They gave us, the sun.
(The painted Phoenix start flying above trees that were blacked out and everything around them turned bright. They fly high up and cross each other for they created the sun)
Narrator: They lived on their own knowing what it was like to be a Phoenix. Over time there became a total of 10 Phoenix. An even amount of males and females. Rinskoul and Remitty told the others to be by themselves so they could too learn, what it was like to be a Phoenix.
(The sun disappears from the two Phoenix and four more appear on each side of them creating another eight in total)
(The painted group disappears as then they reappear and are lined side by side on the left as the two main are on the right. Rinskoul moves his mouth as he raises a wing implementing that the rest be off on their own)
Narrator: The others were at first confused, but they did not question for they went off on their own. As time passed on, things started to get out of hand, for one of the Phoenix got injured.
(The grouped Phoenix looked at each other in confusion and then all of them look back to Rinskoul and Remitty as they then bow to them. A new paper appears as a large X was painted and started to drip down the paper)
Narrator: Rinskoul called out to the rest to come back to him. As everyone situated, Rinskoul and Remitty decided to put rules in place for the others. Oddly enough, they agreed to these rules for they felt, they had no proper guide.
(The X disappears and the main Phoenix opens his mouth wide as sonar waves are painted, facing out of the mouth, indicating that Rinskoul was screeching)
(The others then appear as they are landing in front of Rinskoul. Rinskoul proceeds to move his mouth back and fourth, stating the rules. All the others looked to each other and they once again bow to Rinskoul)
Narrator: It was at this point that each pair had a job. One pair would learn to become healers, for if anyone got injured again. Another pair became hunters, providing for not only themselves, but for the rest. The third pair became soldiers to protect the others from any harm. The last pair then became breeders, to expand their colony. Let's not forget Rinskoul and Remitty, for they were their leaders.
(Papers flip for each pair as they go through a sequence of their job. The Healers are gathers herbs and seeds. The Hunters swoop with talons open and claw at the paper. The Soldiers put on helmets made from leaves and stand proud. The Breeders look to each other as three fledglings appear in front of them. The Leaders stand opposite of everyone else as they too stand proud like the soldiers)
Narrator: Everything was working out quite well for them. Eventually, the others got names. The Breeders ended up laying three eggs. Two boys and one Girl. Rinskoul declared that the young ones were to take a path each. Their names consisted of set rules to help determine their age. For example, a new hatchling would have a lit at the end of their name, like Soran-lit. Which ever path they would choose to take, would also help differ their names. The Healers would have aler, the Hunters would have reach, the Breeders would have reed, and the Soldiers would have sol. One of the boys took in part of being a Healer for his name would be Roran-aler. The other male was named Reko-lit and the female was named Kira-lit. The female became a Hunter and the last male became a Soldier. All together they became, Roran-owl, Reko-cap, and Kira-claw.
(The page flips as we are shown the breeders again, side by side, but with three eggs in front of them. The two Breeders then appear in front of Rinskoul. Rinskoul moves his mouth again with a wing open declaring more rules. The pages flip as the examples are taken place just with the letters. The pages turn again as we see the hatchlings, become now fledglings with their names above them, Then soon grew up, therefore displaying their full grown names above them)
Narrator: Time went on as the community started to grow, but the breeders starting growing faint of having to provide the new generation of the clan. This gave everyone else an idea, why was it just the breeders? Why couldn't the others have their own? The Hunters were the first to bring this up to the King and Queen. Rinskoul and Remitty looked to each other and gave the Hunters a pass as they could start breeding for the clan, but only the Hunters. The Soldiers couldn't breed for there would be no one to protect the new generation if they were trying to provide for their own. Same went with the Healers, they couldn't heal if they were busy flying around, taking care of their young.
(The pages again flipped and slowly start to fill with color as they represent the filling of the forest of an enlargement of the community)
(The page turns again with the breeders taking the main page looking exhausted with their foreheads resting on one another. The scene widens as the other duos appear in the back. The Hunters turn to look at each other and then fly off the page out of the scene)
(The page flips again with rhe Hunters on the left side of the page and the King and Queen on the right. One of the Hunters move their head and opens their beak in speaking of the newfound idea. The King and Queen look at each other and nod, but the King raises a wing with a mildly irritated look to further place the new rules)
Narrator: Some time passes on with the Hunters finally having their own hatchling. Yes, they laid only a single egg, a big one too. The mother Hunter was drained of energy to deliver this new egg. The clan was ecstatic for the Hunters first egg.
(Another few pages flip to a new era with the new egg radiating and then the scene zooms out with the mother Hunter resting her tired head onto the male Hunters chest as they are directly behind the egg in awe)
Narrator: The egg soon hatches with a big baby boy, already a quarter size of his parents. They named him Scor-lit. Scor-lit went on to become a Soldier. His size was immeasurable to any other Phoenix there was. He was the largest amongst them all with being the size of a Golden Eagle. He named himself Scourge. Everyone thought the name was rather odd, but they stuck with it.
(Another page flips as it shows the egg moving and then cracks in half to display the chick. The page near turns to puppetry as the Egg peices are removed from either side and the chick is standing in front of his parents with his down feathered wings open displaying the difference in size)
(Another page flips with Scourge standing tall and proud with a Solider helmet and the scene zooms out showing him next to other Phoenix that look at Scourge in either scarce, awe, or concern)
Narrator: Another few months pass by as all is well in the clan, that is until...
(A few pages flip to the clan in it's full painted glory, but then the page gets ripped in half by talons)
Narrator: The King and Queen are rather getting old and need to find a new leader. A new king and queen. They decide to host a proving testimony to decide who would be the next leader out of the Soldiers. Soon fear became a new in the clan. Scourges parents were found deceased one morning. And everyone announced this to Scourge, but Scourge had near no emotion by his parent's death. About a few suns later, in the brink of night, Scourge made his way to the King and Queen in their sleep and slaughtered them.
(The top half of the paper then falls displaying a new piece with the King and Queen looking at each other with greying feathers, representing their age. A page flips with the King making the announcement about the proving with wing and beak open)
(Two more pages flip with red splattering on the paper to soon drip off to reveal two Phoenix on their backs with X's for eyes. They soon drop off the page with a small group of Phoenix telling Scourge the news and Scourge having a straight face when hearing it. The main Phoenix telling this, turns their head and looks at the others for answers)
(Another page turns with a sun and moon overlaying a portion of the page as it dials over a few times to finally show a full moon. The page veers down to see Scourge snooping around the King and Queen and raises his talons to then another semi translucent paper being thrown over as it looks being puppeteer-ed with liquid splashing in the background of the page to indicate the death)
Narrator: The clan goes dark for some time...until next time...
(The scene then turns to pitch black)
