this hurricane is wrecking me. i lie in the midst of rotting wood, shivering; reddened, bleeding fingers; water & wind fill my lungs; my heartbeat is getting softer, gentler, slowing more and more, as i heave and sob, inching closer & closer to the roaring hurricane. it is breaking me, killing me; but its embrace is warmer than any other. i know i must lay myself in the sacrosanct crux of this destructive lover of mine. my blood enrobes me like the finest of silks; the wind thaws & bites at my skin but still, lays itself on me like a gentle hand. i must reach the core, the heart, the eye. rip me apart with your godlike storm, love me where misery lies beneath my skin. kiss me where nobody has. i know i am likely to lose my life before i can touch the death-drunk crevices and strings of your heart, and i am willing to lose it all for a brief second of a glimpse of your divine face.
