Clara

I was very proud of myself, since I was able to keep my stalking intentions in control. It mostly forced me into my home, playing video games all day, but I was fine with it. Though when Lillian asked me to accompany her to some club, giving Hayley a lift, I didn't say no in hopes of meeting Abbie.

I parked my motorbike outside, walking up to Lillian. My heart was hammering in my chest, my palms sweating like crazy. "What's up with your car?"

"Nothing." I shrugged.

"Let's go." She pointed behind herself at the entry. "I don't know if Abigail is here or not." She added.

"Hm." I hummed, like I didn't really care.

The club was as packed as you would imagine. Full of people around my age, Hayley's friend group being probably the youngest of them all. The typical club music filled the air as we pushed through. A place like this wasn't my usual spot, Grace would have more fun here. She liked interacting with people, random convos and shit I mostly hated.

Unfortunately Abigail was nowhere to be seen, only Hayley's other friends. "Darling." Lillian touched Hayley's back when we approached them in the corner sitting in a booth. Hayley's head spinned around, meeting her fiancé's eyes, with a huge smile.

"Hi!" She stood up, wrapping her arms around Lillian's neck, pulling her into a kiss, which was very explicit for a public kiss. It caught Lillian off guard too, grabbing onto the brunette as they stumbled backwards. "What are you doing here?"

"You asked me to take you home." She reminded her with a frown. Hayley's black dress was completely open on the back.

"Hi." Abigail's sister looked at me.

"Hi." I didn't exactly know what information Abbie gave to her about us, so I kept silent, leaving her to lead the conversation.

"How are you?" I frowned at the question.

"Good." I lied. "Date night?" I looked at her and her husband, who had her arm around her shoulder, while talking to Daniella.

"Yeah, Christie is with my mother." She explained.

"Nice." I nodded.

"Yes." Addison agreed.

"Are you ready to leave?" I heard Lillian's voice from the side.

"I'll go to the bathroom first." Hayley played with the end of Lillian's curly locks.

"Do you want me to join?" Lillian smirked a little, shamelessly looking down at Hayley's cleavage.

"No." Hayley shook her head with a smile. "Bekah will come."

"I will grab a drink." I said, leaving them behind to sort this out. I acted like the way Addison followed me wasn't obvious. "Do you want something too?" I asked as she leaned against the counter next to me.

"No, thank you." She shook her head. She pushed herself up onto a bar chair, waiting for me to order.

I turned to her with the glass in my hand, watching as Hayley and Rebekah left the room to the direction of the restrooms.

"I don't know what happened between you and my sister. I know something fucked up because she doesn't telling me."

"If she didn't tell you, I won't tell you."

"I'm not here for that." She crossed her legs, one over another. "Abbie is hurt. And when she is hurt she needs time and space. She is way too forgiving for her own good, but this could play in your favor now."

"Why are you telling me this?" I questioned.

"I liked her much more when she was with you. She looked way happier that way, and way healthier too. Just-"

"Time and space." I finished. I could do that. I did it for a month now, I could do it for a little while.

"Yes. Time and space." Their smiles were very similar. Kind, bright, heartwarming.

"Thank you."

"Don't thank me yet, there is a chance she will never forgive you." She shrugged.

"That's a way to brighten the mood." I downed the glass with a smile.

I spotted Hayley and Rebekah returning, walking to the table where Lillian was now sitting, talking to the kick-boxer. I saw the quicker pace of their step, the different facial expressions and the guy walking behind them. He was taller than both of them, his dark blue shirt flexed on his body as he reached out, sliding her hand around Hayley's waist.

"Excuse me." I looked at Addison before walking off to them. Hayley took a step away, turning around, planning to push him, but he was faster, stepping back.

Lillian and Daniella turned around in their seats, just the moment when I grabbed the guy by his shoulder. "Man, you really should not have done that." My fingers dug into his muscles, my thumb pushing into the soft part above her collarbone.

"It's ok." Hayley cleared her throat, looking around at the people watching us.

"It's really not ok." I frowned at them. Lillian, Daniella and Max were already walking over us, ready to finish what I started. There were only a handful of times when I saw Lillian mad and this was one of them. It was less scary when her anger was towards someone else and not to me.

"Let me the fuck go." He cursed under my hands, trying to pull away, but I held on tighter.

"Darling," Lillian's jaw clenched, standing behind her fiancé, handing her the car keys. "wait in the car."

"What?" She frowned.

"Wait in the car." She repeated with a cold expression. Hayley was still not moving from her spot, clearly not wanting to leave without Lillian.

"I will handle this situation. You all can go home."

"What the fuck is going on?" The guy looked around, starting to get terrified.

"We are gonna have a talk about manners and about how we do and how we don't approach women." I turned him around, pushing him into the direction of the exit.

He tried to face me, but I pushed him against, making him stubble back a few times, until we were out in the night. "Look, sorry that I touched your girl. I shouldn't have, but we can agree that that dress called for attention." He held his hands up, walking backwards, away from me.

My jaw clenched. "I'm really trying not to hit you in the fucking face." I tried to be better, fight against all my judgments of smashing his head in with the nearest subject I could find. But if I wanted to get my girl back I had to be better than I was.

I took a big breath. "For starters, she wasn't my girl. Even if she wasn't anybody's girl, you don't touch people who don't want to be touched by you. She had a fucking engagement ring of her finger."

"I wasn't looking at her fingers." He grinned. Fuck this man! I grabbed the collar of his shirt.

"Clara?" I turned to the direction of the voice. My heart didn't only skip a beat, it completely stopped for a good 15 seconds, when I saw Abigail. Her red hair was braided, her cheeks pink.

Fuck!

I knew what the situation looked like. Even if I wasn't in the act of beating the shit out of him, Abigail put the pieces together enough to have an idea what I was planning to do. Even if I really wouldn't have hit him.

I let go of his collar, leaving him there as I turned around. "Love." I took a step towards her.

"I-" Her lips parted. "Never mind." She shook her head rather disappointedly, walking away.

Time and space, time and space, time and space.

I watched her turn around, get into a car while trying to restrain myself from running after her as fast as my legs could take me.

"I guess we are good here, then." I heard the guy behind me, feeling him trying to walk past me. I gritted my teeth, turning around, swinging my hand. "The fuck-" He cursed when my fist connected with his stupid face. His palm flew to his nose, tears gathering in his eyes from the pain.

"Fuck that felt good." I shook my hand a little, trying to shake away the pain from my fist.

"You are crazy!" He yelled while walking away.

"Tell me something new." I rolled my eyes.

I tried the time and space thing. But I really needed to talk to Abigail, to tell her that I didn't hurt him. I mean yeah I did, but I wouldn't if Abbie wouldn't have shown up. I wanted to scare him and walk away.

So the 'Give her time and space' shit worked, until I arrived at home and silence settled around me. As fast as I stepped in the apartment I was out of it, driving to Abigail's place. The rain coated my jacket, the helmet saving my hair from getting wet.

All the lights were off, not a single person moving in the room. I didn't even get off my bike, I could see through the window that she wasn't there. I almost started to head towards her bestfriend's, Olivia's place, but I doubted she went there. She knew I would go after her and she knew I would search her there first.

The place I would definitely not look for her would be her ex-girlfriend's home. I shivered a little as the cold air sneaked under my clothes. It was hard to see through the raindrops on the screen of my helmet.

I basically jumped off the bike, banging on Lillian's door. When no one answered, I considered kicking it through. Just for the courtesy's sake, I knocked again before doing anything drastic.

"Hey, it's Clara." I knew I was at the right place, when she didn't open the door instantly. She was already out of the dress, wearing only a white shirt. Probably one of Lillian's since it reached down to the middle of her thighs.

"Is Abbie here?" The helmet weighed heavily on my arm, the rain starting to coat my hair. I already knew the answer, I didn't have time to play Hayley's games.

"No, sorry, I don't seem to recall her being here." She was still a little tipsy, the words rolling roughly on her tongue.

"I don't have time or patience for this, Hayley." I reminded her that I went through enough crap for her that night already. I could obviously see her phone on the table behind Hayley.

"She is not here." She shook her head, crossing her arms in front of her chest. She was lucky she was pretty, because she was pissing me off really bad.

"We both know that, that is fucking bullshit. Let me talk to her, or I swear to God-"

"Wow, think before you speak Clara." I heard Lillian before I saw her appearing behind her fiancé.

"I need to see her." I looked at Lillian, ignoring the short girl in front of her. She stared back at me. "You let me in now or you let me in later, I will stay here as long as it takes." I warned. I didn't need to convince her, she knew how stubborn I got.

I just needed five minutes, five minutes to explain myself. I didn't need anything more from Abigail. And the only thing I needed from the two woman in front of me was to let me in their fucking house. Desperation settled in my chest, tightening my throat, threatening to choke me to death if I didn't see Abigail soon.

"I just need to talk to her. I'll leave if she sends me away." I promised, glaring up at Lillian.

"Fine."

"Fine?!" Hayley's head spun around to face her girlfriend in disbelief. I took my chance, stepping past them entering their home while they were busy with each other.

I froze, stopping when I saw Abbie standing, leaning next to a door frame. "Hi."

"You just can't seem to leave me alone." She shook her head with crossed arms in front of her chest.

"Five minutes. That's all I want." I promised. I probably looked miserable, pathetic. It surely felt that way, I just didn't seem to care anymore.

She started walking, not waiting for me to finish my sentence. I kept up with her, walking behind, until we reached a room, I assumed she was staying in. She sat down onto the bed , crossing her legs under her body.

"Five minutes."

I looked around, sliding down my wet jacket off my shoulder, placing it onto the nearest chair. "I didn't come here to apologize again."

She shifted in her seat, leaning her weight on her arms, watching me with her piercing blue eyes.

"I just wanted to explain that I didn't plan on hurting that guy."

"It sure seemed like you did." She reminded me.

"I know. But I didn't. I should have, because he was touching Hayley and the blonde girl, but I didn't, because I'm trying to be better. For you." I noticed the shaking of my voice, the unusual tremble of my hands. "So I talked to him, threatened him a little, but I wasn't planning on touching him."

I paced the room, feeling her eyes following me. Even only the sight of her made all my pain vanish for a little. I missed her face, her voice, her laugh, her smell. I missed her so fucking badly.

"For the record and to stay honest, after you left I did punch him in the face." I added, sneaking a peak for her reaction. She wasn't good at all in masking her emotions, her cheeks were pink, but they were mostly pink.

"I'm here to tell you that I'm trying to be better for you. And to tell you that I will leave you alone."

"What?" Surprise settled on her face.

"I will give you the space and time you need. And when you are ready to accept my love again, I will come back." I promised.

"You are obsessed. You are not in love with me." I saw a weave of sadness wash over her face and it made my heart clench. To think that she thought I wasn't in love with her, that I lied about that to her was devastating.

"Yes, I'm obsessed. But I'm a hundred percent in love with you. I love everything about you. The two things can exist next to each other. Lillian is obsessed with Hayley. It's not the same level, but you don't question their love, right?"

"Right." She chewed on her bottom lip.

"I'm so in love with you, I put all my pride aside. Do you know how hard it is for me to forget about my pride and beg?" Actually it was very easy. I didn't care how pathetic I looked, I couldn't give a fuck. If it meant that I would get her back, I would do anything.

"Do you know how hard it is for me to always say no to you?" Her blue eyes were shining as she looked up at me.

Then don't!

Instead of saying anything that would try to convince her to take me back, I looked down at my watch. "That was three minutes. I have two more minutes to kiss you." I joked, trying to lighten the mood.

"I-"

"I know. I was joking." I nodded, reaching for my jacket on the chair. I should have talked slower, I should have said more so I could look at her for a little while. "Thank you... for listening to me."

She nodded, avoiding my eyes, her fingers playing with the end of her shirt. God, I wanted to stay so fucking badly, I never wanted to leave this room. But I had to if I wanted Abigail to forgive me. And there was nothing I wanted more than that.
