Noble's POV
After we were ordered to take care of a small army of people we asked the dragons to take us there at a high altitude. The fall would do nothing to us since we all had mjolnir armor on. Sir Rimuru made it for all of us along with fixing my original one. It is said to be at the legendary rank and the others are still at unique rank. After getting high enough and getting a look at the camp from above we made our plan.
Noble- "Alright Ikta (Solork) you will stay up high and provide air support with the dragons. Help thin out the groups. Fluffy I want you in the forest line on the south side helping to pin them down. Fluffy you will be on the east side doing the same. Me and Cat will be helping Fluffy until we can see an opportunity to go destroy the crystal together. Understood?"
Ikta- "Aren't we outnumbered sir?"
Ikta is an average looking man whose lazy attitude often gets in the way of him improving himself. He is however highly intelligent and able to come up with sound strategy's. If he notices something it's likely important. However the intel from our leader is solid so we have no need to doubt it.
Noble- "It wouldn't be a noble mission if it were easy Ikta. Besides they have no way of damaging your armor. Now is everyone ready?"
Everyone- "Sir yes sir."
Noble- "Begin the operation."
After that we all dropped in from above except Ikta who stayed up high. When we landed we would use the dust to cover us until we dug in a defensive position. Then we'd begin the attack. While we were falling down unfortunately a few knights saw us.
Knights- "E-enemy's spotted. Prepare for an attack. It's from above."
We then landed and began the plan. It went well for the whole thing and eventually we were preparing to go destroy the crystal. Before When I asked our leader what would likely work to destroy the crystal he said a grenade wouldn't be enough. So over chosen to use my fists instead. It's risk so we decided to reduce the numbers first before going in further. Luckily the dragon support fire seemed to be doing better than expected. Since by the time we planned to charge in the enemies had all already been taken out. Either way some still survived by staying close to the crystal and continued to defend it. So we decided to ask for surrenders if possible. So we all walked up with the dragons hovering nearby to help convince them of their choice. Once I got close enough I asked me piece.
Noble- "Surrender knights or join your friends along with that crystal behind you."
Knight commander- "We will not show these heretics any mercy. Don't believe them for a second, for our goddess Luminous demands all monsters and their co conspirators are removed from this world. Hold firm there are only a handful of them left."
So they have chosen to die fighting have they. I can respect that choice. I'm running out of time so I'll oblige them. It's unfortunate I couldn't capture anyone and gain any good intel like I wished to.
Noble- "Very well then. Finish them."
After saying that the rest of the team put them out of their misery. I then went and destroyed the crystal with my fists. It didn't take as much as I thought it would but it was destroyed at least.
Noble- "Mission complete let's pack up and head home."
Fluffy- "Great I can't wait to go to the bar and have some drinks."
Fluffy is a husky tan man who often is on point in the team. He loves jokes and often gets himself in trouble. Done call him fat but he's actually just really muscular in his waist. Or as he calls it, "I'm not fat I'm fluffy." Apparently he heard a comedian say it and says the same thing ever since.
Ikta- "You just want to tell stories to the residents again. Captain I hope we get some time off after this."
Noble- "We will Ikta don't worry you lazy kid. Start putting that intelligence to use on useful matters would you. Stop complaining if we get sent out for important missions only. It's not like we are fighting every day."
Cat- "Ya the captains right. We are usually just training people every other day stop complaining."
Cat grow up well after meeting lord Rimuru. She's gotten to be well educated in engineering and often helps in the research department in her spare time. Her short dark hair reminds me of my last team. All of them die but each person is different in their own ways. They also do t have the sad gloomy atmosphere I'm used to being around. From what I understand they all came from around the 21st century besides me. They had much better childhood as well. I hope that one day they won't need to fight anymore. And according to our boss that will be in only a few years. I'll die to see that happen, no matter the costs.
After that we returned to base and went to rest. Eventually we got the gifts that the leader told us we'd get soon. I finally got my own ultimate skill as I wished. I'll need to give a report to the leader soon about what happened and our strength increase. Perhaps I'll help the others get their reports made as well.
Rimuru's POV
After I woke up I felt almost no different from before. I guess my energy barely increased at all. The skill I got however was interesting.

I have some of these sub skills already but Veldora doesn't. Since we both have the same skill we are even more connected than before. I hope Veldora is willing to wait before trying to use it. I then have the angels and spirits I've been summoning over the years join us as well. I instruct the incarnated angels to help the bodiless ones to incarnate while I go do other things. I go to evolve one more person so I can have a good escort before going to Walpurgis. It will also surprise Clayman the most. It should help increase her loyalty to me as well. She has been supervising her people in building her new settlement for the newly revived people. Geld has been helping them as well.
Geld- "Lord Rimuru what brings you here
Rimuru- "I'm here to speak to Kuko. I have a choice for her to make."
Geld- "I will go inform her of your arrival immediately." He then left to get her.
As I waited I saw that they were building the old style Japanese buildings that the ogres had as well. The total amount of people here is around a little under 3,000. Each at the rank of around B+ or higher. As all of them are cryptids I'm not surprised by their above average strength just like the insectars. They all have received a gift recently but if it goes right it will happen again. Though most of these people aren't fighters so I doubt it will do much for them. After looking around for a bit Geld and Kuko came to me.
Kuko- "Lord Rimuru it is good to see you again. The name and gifts you've given me are things I'll never be able to repay you with but my unconditional loyalty. I thank you for helping us get back not only our lives but our livelihoods as well."
Rimuru- "Think nothing of it Kuko. I do have a request for you with a reward as well."
Kuko- "I would do the request even if there was no reward my lord. But what is the request entail?"
Rimuru- "Join me as an escort in Walpurgis in a few days time. To make our chances the highest possible I'll be evolving you again. Think you can handle it, I know you are still adapting to your new strength but time is running out."
Kuko- "I'll happily accept such a generous gift but I feel unworthy of getting it so soon. I've done nothing to deserve such generosity."
She then started to have tears come out of her eyes. She's clearly remembering her failure to protect her people and even family from before. It must sting all the more with her daughter not being here. I need to gave her some hope to see her again.
Rimuru- "I know you're still sad at the loss of your daughter but she will be at this Walpurgis. Come with me and we can save her together."
Kuko- "Really?! Then I shall guard you during this Walpurgis with my life and soul. You shall not receive even a scratch while near me."
Rimuru- "I knew I could count on you to help me. Then I shall grant you more power. With it you will be as strong as the other demon lords of the council. Do not worry as sleep takes you. Use this opportunity given to you to envision the perfect body and skills you desire. I'll see you in three days to go to Walpurgis."
Kuko- "Yes my lord." She then stood up uneasily and went to rest.
Rimuru- "Geld watch over her while she is evolving. She is to not be disturbed until she awakens again."
Geld- "I shall complete this task faithfully lord Rimuru. No harm shall come to her while in my care."
Rimuru- "Good. Finish building here and meet me in the meeting room in a few days. Our battle strategy meeting will be around that time."
After that I left to get my other escort, Diablo. I'd rather wait to evolve him but I thought it won't change much since he barely struggled at all before. I'll evolve him and order him to get an ultimate skill so he actually tries to get one. He can then deal with Guy if he makes a fuss about my plans. After all I'm not planning to fallow his rules since I can just overturn them by convincing the others to agree. Of course Leon and Guy won't but the others who know me will. I then soon arrived at my office where of course Diablo was. He tried to come "help me" earlier but I sent him back to work. After all he just wanted to watch me like usual and skip out on tasks.
Diablo- "My lord it is good to have you awake again. I hope the gift you received was worth it."
Rimuru- "It was nice but I think Veldora got more out of it than I did. I have a new assignment for you to do however."
Diablo- "If you need me for something I'll help you with anything you ask. But I believe the those three could do the task just as easily."
Rimuru- "True they could. I guess I'll have to pick which to evolve and then bring them to Walpurgis then. You can then help Youm take over the Falmuth kingdom while I'm away. Or would you rather help in the battle against Clayman's army?"
Diablo- "No! Ahem, I'll go with you to Walpurgis if you'll let me."
Ha ha the desperation in him is high. Good he can help me as an escort to Walpurgis then.
Rimuru- "I see, we'll have you do that and have Testarossa deal with Falmuth and the other two help the battle fronts. I'm sure they would prefer that anyway."
Diablo- "Indeed my lord." (Phewww.)
Rimuru- "Well have the demon legions help with the battle as well so Geld can continue focusing on the construction that's been pilling up more and more. I have to also pick who will go as protection for my daughter as well."
Diablo- "Hmmm. Might I suggest someone lord Rimuru?"
Rimuru- "Sure Diablo, go ahead."
Diablo- "Well we can have Shion and Treyni protect her for us. We can then have Ranga and Urushi in both your shadows as back-up for us if things go bad."
Rimuru- "Now that would be resonable if Treyni didn't already have someone to escort already."
Diablo- "I see so we're short on one person. Perhaps Noble then?"
Rimuru- "I guess he fits. He is resistant to mind control which is good for our battle with Clayman but he might not be resistant enough."
Diablo- "I have faith in his mental resistances my lord. I believe he's perfect for the job."
It's rare for Diablo to give someone such respect. I guess I should believe in him especially if he got a new skill recently.
Rimuru- "Alright Diablo we'll go with that then. We'll have you and Shion with me and Urushi in my shadow. Then we'll have Kuko and Noblego with my daughter along with Ranga in her shadow. Then we'll have Treyni and Beretta with Ramiris, with Veldora on stand by. Milim is helping to spring the trap and we'll meet her there at Walpurgis with her co conspirators."
Diablo- "I shall inform the others then."
Rimuru- "I've informed Kuko already so don't bother with her as she is currently evolving still."
Diablo- "Still? Everyone else is awake however?"
Rimuru- "She is evolving again Diablo. I want at least one awakened person as a guard there for each of us."
Diablo- "So who is the second person then my lord?"
Rimuru- "It's as you expected Diablo. It's you, mostly since Guy might cause a scene and I'll probably need you to deal with him if it happens."
Diablo- "I'll gladly accept this wonderful gift my lord."
Rimuru- "Good. But when you evolve I expect you to have an Ultimate skill at the very least. Understood."
Diablo- "I will acquire one as you wish me to."
Rimuru- "Then I shall grant you more power. Serve me well as a loyal servant in the future."
I then evolved him and like before he didn't fall asleep and perfectly controlled his power. He'll probably be awake through the whole process again. I also told him to not hold back on his gifts to others. It should then help Beretta get a gift as well. I need him to be strong enough to protect Ramiris in the future after all. With the people picked out and informed I just waited for Gazel and the others to arrive. While waiting I helped Veldora and Ramiris finish more of the labyrinth but I didn't do it in time. They both still think they are married which is just funny to see. I'll tell them eventually the truth. Eventually my daughter woke up. I also recycled the dead bodies in the capsules for future bodies to inhabit. I have an idea on how to use them. After all Beretta needs good workers under them too.

Chapter done. Now on to the one thing all slime fans hate, long meetings.
Gazel's reaction to what has happened is going to be interesting. After all he has an idea but not the full picture.
So now we know who is going to Walpurgis. Sone are people everyone expected and others are not. I feel bad for what will happen to Clayman and Leon.
