~Do you like mint choco? Im srry but i am NOT a fan of it~
-Start pf Chapter 40-
The early morning light filters through the curtains, casting a soft golden glow over the room. I blink awake, the familiar warmth of the blankets wrapped around me. For a moment, everything feels calm, like nothing has changed—no threats, no stress, just a peaceful morning.
I roll over, my hand brushing against the cool fabric of the bed. The air smells faintly of vanilla and something comforting that I can't quite place. My eyes flutter open fully, taking in the surroundings.
A simple room, neat but lived in. The bed is a little larger than I'm used to, and there's a soft hum in the distance, almost like the sound of someone talking quietly.
I stretch, yawning quietly, my mind wandering through the haze of sleep. It's still early—I can tell by the softness of the light—but something about the way the room feels unfamiliar tugs at my thoughts. I sit up slowly, my head clearing.
I let out a quiet breath, relaxing again as the pieces start to fall into place. Right. Soobin.
I had forgotten for a moment that I'm staying here... at their dorm.
And this is Soobin's room and I'm in his bed...
No wonder everything smells so nice...
I shuffle groggily towards the bathroom, still half-asleep and completely unaware of my surroundings. I drag myself as I push the door open, expecting an empty room and a quick splash of water to wake me up.
Instead, I'm greeted by the sight of Soobin, standing shirtless in front of the mirror, toothbrush in his mouth, hair damp and messy, water dripping down his neck. He looks just as startled as I am.
My first instinct isn't rational.
"W-What the fuck are you doing in here?!" I blurt out, my voice a mix of shock and confusion as I clutch the blanket tighter around me.
Soobin pauses mid-brush, blinking at me in the mirror with wide, sleepy eyes. He slowly pulls the toothbrush from his mouth and looks around, clearly still half-asleep himself. "Um... this is my bathroom?"
I blink, still processing his words. "Huh?"
He gestures around the room, pointing out his neatly organized toiletries on the sink, his towel draped over the shower door, and his toothbrush in his hand. "You know... my stuff... in my bathroom... where I brush my teeth...?"
I stand there, frozen, for a moment longer before it clicks. Oh. Right. TXT's dorm. Soobin's room I'm staying at his house. This is his room. His bathroom.
My cheeks flush instantly. "Oh my God." I groan, dragging a hand over my face in embarrassment. "I totally forgot."
Soobin lets out a sleepy chuckle, clearly more amused than offended. "Well, good morning to you, too." he says, his voice warm and teasing as he continues brushing his teeth.
"Morning." I manage to mumble, my voice still thick with sleep. "Sorry, I didn't mean to... barge in."
Soobin chuckles softly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "It's finee." He reaches for the towel hanging nearby and begins to towel off his hair, still brushing his teeth in between pauses. His movements are slow, almost as if he's just as groggy as I am.
I lean against the doorframe, watching him for a moment longer than I should.
I stand there for a second, watching Soobin's sleepy movements, the way his damp hair sticks to his forehead, and how his broad shoulders flex as he towels off. Realizing I've probably been staring too long, I shake my head and grab my toothbrush from the sink, squeezing out some toothpaste.
"It's your fault, you know." I mutter, pointing the toothbrush at him. "You didn't even lock the door."
Soobin, still half-focused on his own morning routine, barely glances my way. "Why would I lock it? It's my room." he mumbles through a mouthful of toothpaste, his words almost unintelligible.
I roll my eyes, quickly brushing my teeth. "Yeah, well, I didn't expect to find you here. A little warning would've been nice."
Soobin doesn't respond right away. Instead, he grabs the blow dryer from under the sink and flips it on, the loud whirring sound immediately filling the small bathroom. The noise completely drowns out my attempts to continue scolding him.
"Soobin, are you even listening to me?" I try raising my voice over the blow dryer, but he just nods absentmindedly, running his hand through his hair as the air blows it all over the place.
I narrow my eyes at him, my cheeks puffing with toothpaste. "Yah! I'm being serious!" I try again, but the blow dryer's noise completely overpowers me. Soobin meets my gaze in the mirror and offers a soft, lopsided grin, pretending he doesn't understand a single word.
The playful glint in his eyes tells me he knows exactly what he's doing.
I let out a dramatic sigh, rolling my eyes again but can't help the small smile tugging at the corners of my lips. "Unbelievable." I mumble, spitting out the toothpaste as I finish brushing my teeth.
Soobin turns off the blow dryer and tosses it onto the counter, turning toward me with that same cheeky grin still plastered on his face. "What were you saying?" he asks, feigning innocence.
"You're impossible." I say, crossing my arms and giving him a mock glare.
He just shrugs, still looking entirely too pleased with himself. "What can I say? I'm a morning person."
I snort. "Yeah, right. You looked like a zombie two minutes ago."
"That's because you startled me." he counters, stepping closer, his sleepy eyes still bright with mischief. "Next time, knock before barging into my bathroom."
"Next time, lock the door." I roll my eyes but can't help the laugh that slips out.

Downstairs everything is CHAOS...
My organised brain is gonna take time to get used to this.
Taehyun stands by the stove, flipping pancakes with the focus of a professional chef, while Huening lounges at the kitchen island, scrolling on his phone, occasionally offering unhelpful comments like, "You should make them fluffier." without even looking up.
But it's the two loudest voices that grab my attention as soon as I step into the room. Yeonjun and Beomgyu are at it—again. Their faces are inches apart, like they're about to square off in a duel.
"I'm telling you," Beomgyu says, pointing dramatically at the tub of mint chocolate ice cream Yeonjun is holding like a prized possession, "that stuff tastes exactly like toothpaste. How can you eat that and enjoy it?!?"
Yeonjun rolls his eyes and takes another spoonful, savouring it obnoxiously. "You've clearly never understood sophistication, Beomgyu. Mint chocolate is a blend of cool and sweet. It's the perfect flavour."
Why the fuck is Yeonjun having ice cream first thing in the morning?!
"Cool and sweet?" Beomgyu's expression is one of pure disgust. "It's literally toothpaste with chocolate chunks! You might as well squeeze some Colgate into your mouth and chew a chocolate bar and call it dessert!"
Yeonjun gasps, deeply offended. "You did not just compare this heavenly flavour to Colgate. Mint choc is classy! It's the taste of sophistication."
Beomgyu leans forward, dead serious. "Sophistication?! It's literally the same flavour I get when I accidentally gulp down mouthwash after brushing my teeth!"
Huening snickers, still glued to his phone, while Taehyun lets out a tired sigh as he flips another pancake. "They've been going at it for 20 minutes." Taehyun says under his breath, shaking his head.
Beomgyu dramatically throws his hands up in the air, clearly not done. "Seriously, who in their right mind wants their dessert to taste like something you scrub your teeth with?! Do you wash it down with a swig of mouthwash too?"
Yeonjun narrows his eyes, spoon still mid-air. "That's because you have an uncultured palate. You probably think the height of flavour complexity is... vanilla."
Beomgyu gasps, clutching his chest as if he's been mortally wounded. "Vanilla is a classic! And guess what? It doesn't taste like dental hygiene! That's how dessert's supposed to work!"
I walk over to the counter, making myself a cup of coffee, trying not to laugh as I watch them go back and forth.
Taehyun catches my eye and gives me a look that clearly says -They're hopeless.
"Next, they'll be debating whether water is wet." I mumble under my breath, pouring my coffee.
I slide into the seat next to Huening, opening my phone, ringing Hana.
...
"What the fuck is all that noise?"
I sigh, rubbing my temple with my free hand. "Good morning to you too."
"Seriously, Unnie, what's going on over there? It sounds like a warzone."
I glance over at Beomgyu, who's now aggressively miming brushing his teeth while Yeonjun looks like he's about to disown him as a friend. I shake my head, trying to contain my laugh. "Yeonjun and Gyu are... arguing."
"Again?" Hana laughs. "What is it this time? Which member is the prettiest?"
I snort. "No, worse. They're arguing about whether mint chocolate chip ice cream tastes like toothpaste."
There's a beat of silence before Hana bursts out laughing "Oh my god, are they serious?"
I give the chaotic scene one last glance, where Yeonjun is dramatically defending the "artistry" of mint choc while Beomgyu gestures like he's in the middle of a TED Talk about why it should be banned from existence. "Dead serious."
"And how is that going for you? Living with all of them?" Hana asks through her giggles, sounding like she's more than amused by the idea of my situation.
I sigh again, taking a slow sip of my coffee as I brace myself for the most honest answer I can give. "It's... an experience."
Hana laughs harder. "That's code for you're slowly losing your mind, isn't it?"
I glance over at Taehyun, who looks like he's trying to tune out the argument as he flips his pancakes with the weariness of a parent who's given up.
Soobin, just walking in, absentmindedly says, "Honestly, I think mint chocolate's overrated."
Yeonjun freezes, glaring daggers at Soobin, and I swear, the air gets ten times heavier.
"Yeah." I say into the phone, voice deadpan. "Losing my mind."
