JANUARY 23rd
11:26am
It was the day before the Greyday 2021 tour recap had released onto youtube, meaning that the boys had to sit and review it with Max Beck before it got published the next day.
And while it would've been a long and painful boredom sitting at home, she had decided to tag along for that exact reason. Despite her intense stomach pains that spiked here and there along with her nausea that had seemed to come in waves.
It was clear to everyone in that room that she was uncomfortable, regardless of her efforts to mask the discomfort in her face, her body language had completely gave it away.
Scott came walking over from the computer space, "Hey..." he began, keeping his tone low as he hadn't wanted everyone to hear their business, "You sure you good? I could get Kyle to take you back home if you-"
Faith cut him off as it was the third time that he had asked, "I'm fine." she pushed her lips together, "Really." though she was lying through her teeth.
She tried to recall of anything that might've seemed bad that she had eaten the night before but as far as she knew, Aristos had cooked with completely new ingredients. She still blamed it on food poisoning though, not even wanting to explore all of the other possibilities: parasites, ulcers, pregnancy...
She shook off the thoughts before any of it could get ahold of her constantly stressed brain, bringing back the thought that it could've just been her built of stress and nerves working together even though she really had nothing to be panicked about.
Scott inhaled sharply in disapproval but nodded either way, "Alright." he had learned not to push it any further, despite what his brain told him to do. He had to stop being so worried over her, she was an adult able to make her own decisions and it didn't matter what he wanted for her.
He sat back down in his spot at the table, all three boys grouped together as they finished up the very last edits that they were going to make. Scott never stopped the glances towards Faith, his leg shaking as he watched her pull her knees towards her chest to lessen the amount of pain that she had been enduring.
"Alright, we almost done?" Scott asked the two men sat beside him.
Aristos nodded, "Almost."
"Okay well-" he ushered with his hands, "Let's speed this shit up." he spoke as he stared at the girl.
As soon as they had all agreed on it being good, they were out the door with nothing but a wave paired with a 'Thanks so much, later man'.
Scott insisted on driving, to which Faith could've sworn the drive had gone by so much faster than it had when they were driving there.
Once inside their home again, Scott immediately started with the offers: "You want me to make you somethin?" he tilted his head to the side.
Faith shook her head, "Food is seriously disgusting me right now."
"Water?" he insisted with an eyebrow raise.
Faith tucked in her lip with another head shake.
"You need some Tylenol?" he asked once more.
Faith thought for a moment before nodding, "Please."
Scott was quick to make his way towards the bathrooms cupboard, hitting the bottle against his hand until two pills had fell into his palm. Making his way back towards the girl just to get her a cup of water, despite her rejection of it before.
Faith washed it down before thanking him, then throwing her head back against the couch as she waited for it to kick in.
Scott had taken a seat next to her, not having anything else to do but worry about her. He didn't mind it though, in fact he loved to take care of her. He liked to feel like he was helping her stay her best and it actually made him feel useful to her, needed to sum it up.
Faith reached for Scott's hand, taking it in hers as she squeezed it softly. Scott glanced down at the interaction, swiping his thumb back and forth against her own.
He had always been one for the smallest of affection, only from the closest of people of course. You had to have a deep connection with the man for Scott Arceneaux to want to hold your hand.
Faith smiled, "I think Ruby gave me food poisoning." she joked, earning a laugh from Scott.
"What you sayin about my cooking?" Aristos head poked around the corner faster than ever, Scott being the only one facing him caused another laugh out of him.
"Nothing, Ari!" she sung back, "Least it tasted good." she shrugged as she spoke lower now, Aristos not able to hear her small compliment.
As Scott flicked through the movies, the thought of pregnancy crossed her mind once more, making her stomach ache and churn just thinking about carrying another being inside of her.
She tried to recollect her memory on if they had even used a condom and it had became clear that they definitely hadn't.
Faith shuddered under the grasp of his hand, chills spreading all throughout her body.
Certainly plan-b wouldn't have worked at this point, and the only other option...
She shut her eyes for a moment as she took a breath in and out ever so slowly, "You cold?" Scott asked from beside her, making her open her eyes in an instant.
She shook her head, "Only a little, i'm okay though." she fought off any choices he was about to give her before he even could.
He nodded conclusively before turning back towards the screen, leaving Faith to lean back into her thoughts.
Before she could come up with any answer, she had to be sure of what she thought.
Faith sat up slowly, "I'm gonna go talk to Rubes." she stated as he nodded in return, too fixated on the movie to even mind.
The grip on his hand was released as she stood up fully, walking towards the kitchen as Aristos sat upon the islands barstool.
He turned his head in an instant the moment that he had heard her creep up, "Hey, Faye." he lifted his chin as she came sitting down next to him.
She cleared her throat before speaking in a low tone, "Could you take me to the store? I just gotta stop by and pick up something." she shrugged it off with a squint.
Aristos nodded, understanding- or so he thought as he had earned the knowledge of it being her period that was the reason, "Sure thing." he sighed as he stood up, pulling his keys out of his pocket.
"Taking Faith to the store." he stated as he passed by Scott on the couch, which he only glanced back at the two.
Faith gave him a tight lined smile before exiting out of the door with Ari, into his Mercedes.
They talked a while in the car, Faith becoming more talkative as the day went on and the pain had faded. The only thing stopping her from starting any conversation was that lingering thought in her mind.
Aristos parked in the lot in front of the store, dropping Faith off as he waited for her to come out again.
She walked the lone aisles before finding the right product, the selection of pregnancy tests right in front of her made her stomach drop in fear of what the future could hold just by two little red lines telling her so.
She quickly grabbed the pack with no further thought, then she actually got a box of tampons just to not raise any sort of suspicion. She paid and then set off back to Ruby, bag in hand.
She thought of the many possibilities and how she would laugh about it if it turned out negative, thinking of how paranoid and scared she had been all because of her overthinking. Christ, she might've even told Scott and they would've laughed about it together.
But could there even be a negative when all of the signs and the no condom were pointing straight to a huge positive.
She turned at the volume knob, hoping that the music would drown out any of her thoughts that kept her on edge. It sure did distract her as she had realized that it was their music.
Faith laughed a little, acknowledging the fact that Aristos had a set playlist for each and every time that he started up his car for a drive. It was almost always $uicideboy$ and Faith couldn't even remember a time when it wasn't them blaring through the speakers.
"You listen to anything else?" she joked.
Aristos shot her a sarcastic glance, "Don't be hating." he snorted.
Faith shook her head, "The last thing I could be is a hater of the boys." she huffed.
"True that." Aristos sighed, "Could never hate us... specifically Scott's dick, right?" Faith gasped, earning a laugh from her reaction.
