She hears the doorbell ring as she runs over to the front door in excitement. The girl opening the door to be greeted by Xiaojun in his human form as he flashes her a soft smile. Ava pulls him into a longing hug. He could feel just how much she had missed him in the last two days that they haven't seen each other. He did leave her whilst she was still at the hospital.
"I've missed you so much." Ava whispers. His heart warms when he hears this as he returns her the hug. Laying his chin down on top of her head as he caresses her hair gently.
"I've missed you too. Sorry for just disappearing like that without an explanation." He answers as she looks up at him before shaking her head.
"It's not your fault. Come inside, you probably have a lot to say." She says as she ushers him to come inside her home.
"Dr. Zain told me that you were being punished by the Divine. What did they do to you?" She asks him once they were now seated down in her living room.
"He cut my wings off. My back is still recovering from that." Xiaojun says as her eyes widens. He faces his back against hers as Ava lifts up his shirt to see the two large scars that were on his back. The scars looked so barbaric.
"Did it hurt? Was this the punishment that you got? You're not an angel anymore?" She says as she looks at him with concern laced in her eyes.
"I don't have blood running in my body so getting my wings ripped off didn't hurt as much, and no, it wasn't my punishment. An Angel loses its wings everyday so I doubt that its much of a punishment... I'm still an angel but I got stripped off my title as the Healer, so I'm not an important figure anymore. I still work for the Divine, just as a regular Angel now." Xiaojun explains as she looks at him in confusion.
"Alright then?... What punishment could be worser then getting your title and wings taken away from you?" Ava asks in hesitation as he looks at her with sorrow in his eyes.
"Immortality. I was punished with the curse of immortality." He whispers as it made her quiet.
"Is that a good or bad thing?... Aren't Divine beings immortal in the first place?" She says as he stares at his lap before sighing.
"No. Just like mortals, all of us are born with a life span. Some might view being immortal as a good thing, but in my case... it's a punishment. Falling for a mortal-human is restricted because people of your kind don't live a long life like us. Me having the curse of immortality means that I have to watch you age, as I stay the same. I have to watch you die, as I continue to live on. I'm forever left to mourn for you, Ava." He explains.
"Is there no way to undue the curse." Ava asks quietly as she took hold on his hands.
"There is, but it's going to take forever. I have to find you in your next life. I'll remember you but you won't remember me. No one knows how long it's going to take. It could take years... or even an eternity before the curse can lift off and I'd be set free from it."
She purses her lips together, not knowing what to do with the information.
Ava looks at him fondly. The girl holding onto his face and she lightly squishes his cheeks. "Then find me. No matter how long it'll take you, don't forget about me. Even if I will forget about you in my next life, please don't give up on me, Dejun." She says before placing a kiss on his cheeks as he scrunches his nose.
A smile finally made its way on his face. "Of course, I am yours, heart and soul. I'll never forget about you. Not when you were the first person who made me feel truly human." He replies as he took a hold of her hands. Giving them a light squeeze before he places a kiss on the back of her palms.
"So, let's put this issue behind us and enjoy life whilst we still have the time too." She stated as he nods in agreement. "What do you want to do now? Since you're in your human form, do you want to try something to eat? I know you don't eat, but you've been exhausting yourself lately, and you're currently recovering, so why don't you try eating something for once?" Ava suggested as he thought about it.
"Sure, why not. I want to see what all the hype is about when it comes to human food. My devil friends are always going on about how good the food is, even though they don't even need to eat to survive." He whines as it made her chuckle.

"Dejun, the foods done." Ava called out once she was done cooking. The girl about to place the plate of food down on the table when she hears a melody playing.
Her brows furrows when she realises that it was the same exact song that she's been practicing for a whole two months for the performance that she had to cancel. Ava quickly puts the plates down before making her way over to the source of the sound.
The sound had lead her to her bedroom. The girl leaning on her doorframe as she watches as Xiaojun played the violin. The lad too concentrated on playing that he didn't realise that Ava was in the room watching him.
She observes as he plays. A smile curling on her face as she couldn't contain her excitement. Ava looks at him with so much love in her eyes as he played the song so effortlessly. She knew that he could replicate her work flawlessly.
Once he was done playing, Xiaojun was startled when he hears the sound of someone clapping their hands as they gave his performance a round of applause. He looks over at the door to see Ava standing there with a grin on her face.
He gently puts her Violin back in its place before walking over to her.
"You memorized the song that I was going to play for the concert. I haven't even taught you that one yet." She says as he flashes her a smile, his perfect teeth in full display.
"I memorized the way you play it during your many rehearsals." He answers as she raises a brow up. "That was before we even met? You stalker." Ava says as she hits his arms playfully.
He only looks at her smugly as he shrugs his shoulders before following her back to the dining room.
"Was just doing my job looking after you, technically it doesn't count as stalking." He defends himself as she could just chuckle.
"The performance was amazing by the way. I say, you might have even played it better than me." Ava tells him.
"Thanks. Was just returning the favor. You said that you wanted to hear me replicate your work, and I did just that." He says with a delicate smile on his face. "Whilst you're still alive, could you play me a song everyday, Ava?" He asks her as he kisses the top of her head.
"Music will always bind us together. I'd love to play a song for you everyday, in return, you have to memorize it and learn how to play it yourself." She says.
"That sounds easy enough. You want me to remember how to play the music that you played, so when you aren't here anymore, I could play it whenever I miss you." He stated as she could just smile.
"So when you meet me again in my next life, play the music for me so that I could remember you, Dejun."
