𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟓 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫...!
Haleema quickly got up and went straight to the washroom to take a shower. After a little while she came back freshly showered.
She stood by the dressing table getting ready and once done she went near the bed. Sitting down, she removed the comforter and began waking up Rayyan.
With love Haleema called out "Rayyan bachha wake up."
As usual Rayyan woke up at the sound of his mama's voice and sat up.
Haleema smiled at him and opened her arms wide. Rayyan crawled into her lap and rested his head on her shoulder.
In his baby-like voice, Rayyan said, "Molning maama (Morning mama)."
Haleema gently ran her hand over his head and replied, "Morning, maama ki jaan."
Rayyan got down from her lap stood on the bed and held her face in his tiny hands planting kisses on both her cheeks one by one.
Just then Umar returned from jogging and stood at the door watching his son who seemed to be deliberately showing affection to his maama to make him jealous.
Haleema kissed Rayyan on both cheeks and said, "Come on now, you need to take a bath."
Looking at his father Rayyan excitedly said, "Taloo maama (chalo maama)."
Haleema picked him up from the bed and noticing Umar at the door said, "Aap aagye ."
As Umar entered the room. he said, "JAAN-E-UMAR apka ye ladla beta bhut chalak hai mai bata raha hun"
Rayyan. putting on an innocent face looked at his maama. When Haleema saw his expression her love for her son grew even more. She glared at Umar and said, "bas kardein Umar mera beta bhut masoom hai, aap har waqt bas usko yahi sab bolte hai."
Umar looked at his wife in astonishment and said, "Meri jaan wo bas mujhe jalane ke liye aisa karta hai isliye bolta hun yrrr!"
Rayyan maintained his innocent expression, while Haleema shook her head in disapproval and went to the washroom.
Meanwhile Umar sat on the bed and muttered, "meri auald mere hi romance ka dushman hai."
Haleema came out of the washroom with Rayyan wrapped in a towel. Umar, watching her muttered to himself, "Ye achha hai jab se ye aya hai meri biwi mujhe hi bhool gayi hai"
Haleema placed Rayyan on the bed and glaring at Umar asked, "Did you say something?"
Umar quickly got up from the bed and said, "No, I didn't say anything."
Haleema shook her head and went back to getting Rayyan ready.
Meanwhile, Umar went to take a shower in the washroom.
Haleema finished dressing Rayyan and was now helping him put on his shoes.
Rayyan said, "Mama mai fufo ki chaadi mein tya phenuga( Mama mai fufo ki shaadi mein kya phenuga)"
Haleema asked, "Pathani suit with a waistcoat?"
Rayyan responded, "Oteyy (Okay)."
Haleema laughed and said, "chalein hum?"
Rayyan got down from the bed, held Haleema's hand, and said, "Taloo maama (chalo maama)."
Haleema went downstairs with him. When Umar came back to the room after his shower and found no one there, he shook his head in disbelief and started getting ready for the office.

Rayyan was sitting in Nazrin Begum's lap while everyone was having breakfast.
Abbas Sahab asked, "Umar, have you made sure all the preparations are done?"
Umar replied, "Abbu, don't worry, everything is ready."
Abbas Sahab nodded, "Good then."
Everyone continued with breakfast when Rayyan suddenly asked, "Papa aapki shaaid bhi aise hi hui thi?"
Umar smiled and said, "haan aise hi hui thi"
While feeding Rayyan, Nazrin Begum smiled as Rayyan innocently asked, "to mai kaha tha aapki shaadi mein?"
Everyone burst into laughter at his question, while Haleema looked at Umar with surprise.
Umar replied casually, "Tum soye hue the."
Rayyan gave his father a questioning look and said "to aap ne jagaya ku nhi mujhe?"
Abbas Sahab chuckled watching Umar's face as he tried to come up with an answer.
Umar finally said, "Chup kar ke nasta karo sawal jada karne lage ho tum"
Rayyan shook his head and said stubbornly, "nhi mudhe dawabb tahiye (nhi mujhe jawaab chahiye)"
Umar turned to Haleema and said, "dekh lijiye aap hi dijiye jawab mai to nhi de raha"
Haleema gently said, " bachha pehle aap nasta karo baad mein ye question/answer ka session karna"
Rayyan who never disobeyed his mama nodded and said, "Oteyy, Mama (Okay, Mama)."
After breakfast everyone got busy with the preparations for Hareem's wedding. Umar went into the kitchen to meet Haleema before heading off to the office.

Umar was sitting in his office, focused on his laptop screen, checking the selling rates in the market, when Faraz entered the room.
Sitting down on a chair Faraz teased, "Kya hua hone wale saale sahab sab khairiyat se hai?"
Irritated by his comment, Umar retorted, "Kya chahte ho tum ki kal nikah na ho tumhara?"
Faraz taken aback said, "Maine kya bola hai jo aise bol raha Tu?"
Umar replied, "To kun bakwas kar raha hai tu?"
Faraz shot back, "Bhut hi bekar insan hai tu "
Without looking away from his laptop screen Umar said, "Sahi kaha lekin tum se kam hun."
Faraz shook his head and said "Itna achha bhala sakal aur personality hai mera,kaise bakwas kar raha hai Tu mere bare mein"
Umar dismissed his comment with a shake of his head and said, "Leave all this. Tell me, is everything ready for the wedding?"
Faraz grinned and said, "Yes, everything's done."
Umar nodded, "Alright then good."
Faraz said, "I'm heading home now."
Leaning back in his chair Umar replied, "Yeah, I'll leave soon too. I have to take Haleema shopping to pick up her dress for tomorrow."
Faraz smiled, "That's great, then."
Umar added, "Yeah, and since none of us will have much time until your walima, I've been ensuring everything is set so Siddiqui Sahab doesn't face any trouble."
Faraz nodded and said, "That's good. By the way Usman won't be able to come, right?"
Umar confirmed, "No, he couldn't get leave from studies."
Faraz sighed, "Well, nothing can be done about that now."
He stood up and said, "Alright then, I'll get going. See you tomorrow."
Umar stood up shook his hand and said, "Okay, see you tomorrow."

Everyone was sitting in the lounge at the time, enjoying tea, while Rayyan was playing with a ball in the lounge.
Nazrin Begum asked Haleema, "Dear, didn't you buy any dress? What will you wear tomorrow?"
Darsa Begum added, "Yes, dear, you should have bought one."
Haleema replied, "Ammi, I already have clothes, so I didn't buy any."
Darsa Begum said, "Dear, it doesn't matter. You should still have bought one."
Haleema replied, "Choti Ammi, I already have plenty of clothes, which is why I didn't buy any."
Just then Umar walked into the lounge and seeing him, Haleema went quiet.
Umar entered, greeted everyone with "Assalamualaikum," and sat down on the sofa.
After sitting on the sofa, he looked at Haleema and said, "Go and bring your shawl; we're going shopping."
Haleema surprised stared at him wide-eyed. Meanwhile, Nazrin Begum said, "Son that's good; we were just talking about this."
Umar replied, "Yes, Ammi."
Nazrin Begum said, "Go ahead, dear."
Haleema nodded and went upstairs to her room.
While still seated Umar asked his mother, "Ammi where are Abbu and Chachu?"
Nazrin Begum replied, "They've gone to inform the cook about the menu."
Umar said, "Alright, that's fine."
Haleema came downstairs after a while.
Seeing her Umar said, "Alright, Ammi we'll be back."
Nazrin Begum smiled and said, "Alright."
Umar moved ahead with his wife. He stopped near his son and said, "Let's go Rayyan."
Rayyan who was playing with the ball, paused and asked, "kahan pe?"
Umar picked him up in his arms and said, "ghumne"
Rayyan excited at the idea of going out happily exclaimed, "Yeahhh!!" and rested his head on Umar's shoulder saying, "Taloo (chaloo!!)."
Haleema smiled seeing her son's excitement and Umar also smiled. The three of them went outside got into the car and drove off.
Umar was driving while Rayyan stood in his mother's lap looking out of the window. He was closely observing the trees and buildings passing by.
Meanwhile Umar with one hand on the steering wheel was holding Haleema's hand with his other hand.
Looking out Rayyan exclaimed "Maama, shunoo! Wo detho birds(Maama, wo dekho birds)!"
Hearing his voice Haleema tried to free her hand but Umar tightened his grip and gave her a stern look.
Haleema shook her head slightly in response and said, "Yes bachha they look very beautiful."
Rayyan sat back in her lap and said, "Maama, mudhe papa ke pass baithna hai(Maama, mujhe Papa ke pass baithna hai)."
Haleema replied, "Alright, go sit. Umar, stop the car on the side and let Rayyan sit with you"
Umar pulled over to the side placed Rayyan in his lap and resumed driving. Since Rayyan was now in his lap, Umar held him with one hand while driving with the other. Meanwhile, Haleema leaned back in her seat and lay down to rest.
Rayyan however kept honking the horn repeatedly.
Umar said, "Rayyan shanti se baitho"
Rayyan responded, "maine kuth bhi nayi kiya papa(Maine kuchh bhi nahi kiya)."
Umar said, "beta bas shant se baitho"
But Rayyan wasn't the kind to listen he kept honking the horn repeatedly. Meanwhile Haleema resting against the seat had fallen asleep.

Umar parked the car in the parking lot, holding Haleema's hand and carrying Rayyan in his arms as they entered the clothing showroom. The guards greeted him with respect, and the showroom owner warmly welcomed him.
The owner said, "Oh, sir, you being here is such a big honor for us."
Umar replied, "Thank you."
The owner asked, "What would you like, sir?"
Umar responded, "I need a dress for my wife."
The owner called a saleslady and instructed her, "Please show Ma'am some of our best dresses."
The lady nodded and said, "Okay, sir." She looked at Haleema and said, "This way, ma'am."
Haleema followed her and Umar walked behind them.
The saleslady brought Haleema to a section and started showing her dresses.
Haleema turned to Umar and said, "Umar sunein"
Umar, who was standing nearby holding Rayyan, responded, "ji jaan-e-umar sunayein"
The saleslady smiled hearing this, and Haleema turned to glare at her.
Umar noticed Haleema's expression and gestured innocently, "maine kya kiya?"
Haleema shook her head in dismissal. Umar approached her and said, "boliye"
The saleslady who was still glancing at Umar while showing dresses caught Haleema's attention. Irritated, Haleema said, "Ma'am aap kapde dikhaye na"
Startled by Haleema's tone, the saleslady quickly focused on her task. Umar noticed an ice-blue lehenga and said, "jana aap ye wala dress lijiye aap pe ye color suit karega aap pe"
Haleema looked at it and said, "thik hai"
Rayyan meanwhile spotted a light pink long frock and shouted excitedly, "papa shunoo aul wo wala bi(pala shuno aur wo wala bhi)"
Startled by his loud voice Umar and Haleema exchanged glances. Umar said, "aahista bolo, hum yahi hai"
Ignoring him Rayyan called out, "Aunty wo lao!"
The saleslady was slightly offended at being called "Aunty," while Haleema trying to stifle her laughter looked at her face.
The saleslady brought the pink frock and Rayyan said to his father, "papa maama ke liye ye bhi lo"
Umar replied, "Okay."
Haleema smiled at the dress it was indeed beautiful. Umar said, "aap ye dono dress pack kara dijiye"
Haleema suggested "aap bhi kuch le lijiye?"
Umar replied, "maine pehle hi apne aur apne bete ke liye dress oder kara diya hai ghar pe phuch chuka hai wo."
Haleema smiled and said, "achha chalein fir thik hai"
Rayyan asked, "papa mudhe choklte kahan hai(papa mujhe chocolate kahan hai)?"
Umar replied, "bas hum ab kuch khane ke liye hi chalenge."
They moved to the counter, paid the bill and left the showroom. Sitting back in the car, Umar started driving again.
Rayyan said, "maama aap wo pink flock pehena aap uthme khusulat lagengi( maama aap wo pink frock pehenna aap usmein khubsurat lagenegi)"
Haleema replied, "thik hai maama ki jaan"
Suddenly Rayyan remembered the morning's question and asked "papa apki shaadi mein mudhe ku nhi jagaya(papa apki shaadi mein mujhe ku nhi jagaya)?"
Hearing this Umar glanced at Rayyan and said to Haleema, "isko abhi tak ye sawal yaad hai!"
Haleema equally surprised said, "jawab dein aap mai nhi de rahi"
Umar explained, "beta aap us waqt gehri neend mein the isliye humne apko nhi jagya tha"
Rayyan shook his head and said, "nayii aap juth bol lahe ho aap ne mudhe bulaya hi nayi tha(nhi aap juth bol rahe ho aap ne mujhe bulaya hi nhi tha)!"
Haleema burst out laughing at his response and Rayyan seeing her laugh said, " maama hans lahi yhi thach hai(Maama hans rahi yhi sach hai)!"
Umar glanced at Haleema and with a subtle gesture of his eyes asked her, "Why are you laughing?"
Haleema tried to suppress her laughter and quietly looked at Umar and Rayyan.
While umar driving and said, "Beta aap soye hue the aur apki neend kharab na ho isliye humne nhi jagaya apko"
Rayyan skeptical asked, "sach mein?"
Umar replied, "haan sachi"
Rayyan finally said, "Okay ."
Umar stopped the car in front of a restaurant parked it on the side and stepped out. He walked to Haleema's side opened the door, carried Rayyan in his arms, and extended a hand to help Haleema step out of the car.
After closing the door and locking the car, they entered the restaurant and made their way to the VIP area for privacy.
Once seated, Rayyan placed his small hands on Umar's cheeks and in a sweet voice said, "Papa, I want ice cream."
This was Rayyan's usual tactic to get what he wanted making it nearly impossible for anyone to say no.
Umar cupped Rayyan's face in his hands and said, "Not at all. It's nighttime, and you'll fall sick."
Rayyan upset turned his face toward Haleema and said, "Maama, peleaj(maama please)"
Haleema replied gently, "bachha, you'll get sick. Have it tomorrow afternoon instead."
Realizing he wouldn't get ice cream, Rayyan sat back in his seat with a sulky expression. Umar, amused by his reaction, smiled and said, "Then I suppose you don't want chocolate either?"
Rayyan's mood immediately shifted and he asked, "Where is it?"
Umar said, "It's on the way."
Rayyan gave a thumbs-up and said, "oteyy(Okay!)"
Soon the waiter arrived with chicken karahi, naan, a sweet dish, and a chocolate shake for Rayyan. He arranged the food on the table and left.
As they ate Umar also fed bites to Rayyan while enjoying the meal himself.
After finishing the meal Rayyan drank his chocolate shake, and the three of them left after paying the bill.
On the way back home Rayyan fell asleep in the car while Umar, holding Haleema's hand with one of his continued driving.
