*Troy's POV*

I need.

I NEED a weekend at home with my girlfriend. For the love of god.

This is the first time this season where I am actually able to have a full weekend home with her. I've been home for 3 days already and it still doesn't feel like I have even remotely made up for how much I've been away for work.

Which is why I currently have her pinned against the island in the kitchen kissing every inch of exposed skin I can find.

"Troy." She laughed and tried to pull away. "I'm doing homework."

"Yes and you got home at 3 and have been doing homework since. It's 6:00 Kid." I gently bit down. "I want you."

"You had me last night, and this morning." She shook her head.

"And, I'll have you tonight, and tomorrow morning." I reached around to the front of her neck and turned her head to kiss me. "Come with me next weekend. I want to show you off. Please."

"Troy I have to go home next weekend. The boys' birthday party."

"Maybe I can fly out right after the game and be there with you?"

"Baby you need to be with your team." She bit my bottom lip. "But I love you for wanting to spend so much time together."

"I'm really trying." I groaned.

"I know. And so am I."

"We eat at that island." Lachlin came walking in to the kitchen.

I sighed and pulled away. "Sorry."

She smiled, walked over to her bag, and pulled a book out. "I went to Target this morning." She shot around to him.

"You did NOT get me the target edition of Onyx Storm!" He yelled.

"I did not." She shook her head and pulled another out. "I got us BOTH one."

"OH! Ridoc is about to make this book. I can feel it!" He yelled.

"And Xaddy?! He's not going to make this book?" She raised her eyebrows.

"Oh did you not read the ending of Iron Flame?" He crossed his arms.

"What the fuck." I shook my head. "You know, I live with literally half of this book club, shouldn't I be brought in on the details of said books?"

"You, want to be let in on the details of Shadow Daddies and Dragons?" Lach pursed his lips.

"What the fuck is a Shadow Daddy?" I scrunched my face.

"You're such a Tamlin." He rolled his eyes.

"Oh that was mean." Kaylin nodded. "You went all the way back to ACOTAR." She laughed.

And then a knock came at the door.

"Are we expecting anyone?" Kaylin looked at me.

"No. And the only way they would be allowed up here without a call from Jimmy is if they had the code." Lach shook his head and walked in to the living room.

"What the hell is a Tamlin?"

She pursed her lips and shook her head. "You don't want to know."

Let me tell you what, the screams from our front door made both of us jump.

"What in the absolute fuck?" I raised my eyebrows.

And she took off in a dead sprint out of the kitchen with me right behind her, to the hall entrance to see Haylie, Lexi and Mac standing in the door way, and Lach laying on the floor with his hand on his chest.

"Sorry." Lexi scrunched her face. "We thought you'd be Kaylin."

"Who the fuck screams when someone opens a door." Lachlin took a deep breath.

"Ahhhh!" Kaylin screamed and sprinted down the hall.

Mac and I both winced and covered our ears.

"You never get used to it." Mac shook his head and held a hand out to Lachlin. "I'm so sorry."

"That makes so much sense." Lachlin grabbed his hand and Mac pulled him up. "Who, are you?"

"I'm Mac." He nodded.

"Oh holy fuck." He turned and looked at me. "Mac Mac?"

I nodded. "And the blonde is Lexi, and the brunette is Haylie."

"Oh my god! Haylie Summers." Lachlin shot around. "Oh my god Hi!"

She flipped her hair and smiled. "You heard of me."

"And you, Lexi, your high light reels, damn." He smiled.

"Well thank you." She smiled.

"Uh. Lexi, Haylie, Mac, this Lachlin Price." Kaylin pursed her lips. "What, uh, what are you guys doing here?"

"We wanted to surprise you." Lexi laughed.

"And, I need to ask you a question, and I wanted to do it in person." Haylie pursed her lips.

"Well, ask away."

She cleared her throat, reached out in to the hall, and pulled a gift bag in. "It comes with a present first." She nodded.

"Ok, we all know Kaylin doesn't like gifts." Kaylin sighed.

"You'll like this one." Mac nodded.

Kaylin shook her head, reached in to the bag, and pulled out a long little black box. She flipped it open. "Bridesmaid?" She looked at Haylie.

"You didn't notice anything yet?" She pursed her lips and gently tucked her hair behind her ear.

And the second Kaylin gasped and grabbed her hand, I saw the rock.

"Oh my god!" Kaylin screamed. "You finally did it!"

"Tuesday night." Mac smiled. "After she about ripped my head off for 'keeping secrets'."

"Technically, you were keeping secrets." Lexi nodded.

"Oh my god you're getting married!" Kaylin jumped right in to Mac's arms.

"I think this calls for a hefty cocktail." Lachlin smiled. "Come on in, we'll get the guest room ready for you guys."

"Me." I nodded. "I'll be getting the guest room ready for me, because there will be a sleepover in our bed tonight."

"Oh you're good." Lexi pointed at me, walked over, and hugged me. "What's up Playboy."

"Hi Lexi." I smiled, pulled away and walked over to Haylie. "Hello. Congratulations." I hugged her.

"Thank you." She laughed.

"And you." I held my hand out to Mac. "Lucky man." I smiled.

"Thank you." He shook my hand.

"Come on, lets get all this in here and we'll get a drink. Order dinner?"

"Yes please." Haylie groaned and walked down the hall.

We just left all their stuff in the living room and made our way to the kitchen.

"So uh, I have a question." Kaylin pursed her lips as I handed her a glass of wine.

"All ears." Haylie smiled.

"How uh, how did you know I was here?"

"Oh, we showed up at the apartment, and Axel tried to play it off that you were spending the night here. But your bedroom was empty." Mac nodded.

"Which bitch, what the hell?" Haylie nodded as I handed her a glass.

"I was going to tell everyone when I got there next weekend. It was an in person conversation." She nodded.

"Well then baby, lets turn in to the Sweet Magnolia's and pour it out." Lexi smiled.

"And I'm already ditched." Mac sighed.

"You knew it was going to happen." Haylie leaned over and kissed him. "But, at least you have company this time?" She scrunched her face.

He smiled. "Go on. No one interrupts a pour it out."

Kaylin cleared her throat and looked up at me. "Are we allowed to drink wine in the bed?" She pursed her lips.

I raised my eyebrows. "I'm sorry?"

"Can we drink wine in your bed?" She sighed.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"Still adjusting." Lachlin cleared his throat.

"OOp." Lexi pursed her lips and took a sip.

"Kaylin, you do not need to ask permission to do anything in OUR bed. You live here." I nodded. "It is no longer MY anything. It is OURS. You are allowed to do anything you wish in OUR room."

"And we promise Troy, we'll only have one slumber party in your room on the weekends we visit." Haylie nodded.

"Don't worry about it." I shook my head. "You're more than welcome." I handed Haylie the bottle.

Kaylin let out a small smile, pulled me in and kissed me. "Thank you. I'll get there."

I smiled. "We'll work on it." I nodded. "Go on."

"I love you." Her smile grew.

And she led the girls right on upstairs.

"What in the hell is a pour it out?" I sighed and looked at Mac.

"Normally, it's margarita night. They watch way to many Netflix shows. But when they're all home, they'll have a margarita night, and they'll spill all the tea that's been going on. Talk about their feelings, all that." Mac nodded as Lachlin handed him a drink.

"Well then gentleman." Lachlin cleared his throat and held up his glass. "Lets have our own pour it out."

We clinked our glasses together and drank.

"I already know what's on your mind McCarthy, so you might as well say it." Mac looked at me.

"She didn't tell anyone but her family that she moved in, did she." I sighed.

He shook his head. "No. But, she did tell me. She asked my advice on how to tell everyone. And all of them are 'in person' kind of people. If they got a message or a call saying 'hey, I moved in with my boyfriend.' You'd have a whole hell of a lot of house guests, and one of them would be Grayson."

"Yeah, so good idea." I nodded.

"Is Grayson scary?" Lachlin scrunched his face.

"He produced Dory." Mac pursed his lips.

"Fuck, he's scary then." Lachlin laughed.

"You've met Duke." I looked at him.

"I have."

"Imagine Duke, times 4." Mac laughed.

"I feel so sorry for any dude that dates the Adams sisters." Lachlin took another drink.

"Polly, hasn't had a boyfriend since Bowen. But Dory just ended things with a guy she was talking to." Mac shrugged.

"Can I please set her up with Charlie." Lach whined.

"Sure." I nodded. "If you run that little idea by Kaylin first." I smiled.

"Nope." He shook his head.

"Now, Charlie is your little cousin, right?" Mac looked at me and took a drink.

"He is. He's about to turn 17 though."

"I'll take the blame." He shrugged. "Give me his number and I'll send it to her."

"I like him." Lachlin smiled. "And, the man is now engaged?"

"He is." Mac smiled. "It's crazy to think that we've been together for 3 years and she hasn't left me yet."

"Why would she leave you?" I scrunched my face.

"I don't know." He shrugged. "It was really easy for my mom."

Mine and Lachlin's faces just dropped.

"It's fine." He nodded. "She left when I was 12. And, she died my senior year. She was an addict. And, it took me so long to actually pursue Haylie because of abandonment issues."

I sighed and shook my head. "The dead parents club isn't a fun one."

"No, it's not. Did you laugh at their funeral?" He pursed his lips.

I raised my eyebrows. "Uh, no."

"I did." He nodded. "And, those girls upstairs. They held me the entire time. Haylie was there through all of it, picking up the slack with the team, simply just existing. And Lexi, was like, my back bone the entire time, and Kaylin, she was the one who was lifting me up and giving me her shoulder. You've got a good girlfriend Troy." He looked at me. "Even if she makes decisions that you may not like."

"I just, hate feeling like she's hiding things from the people she loves, especially when it comes to me."

"I don't think she's hiding anything Troy." Lach shook his head. "She's just thinking of what the best way is for everyone. I'm sure she wanted to scream it from the roof tops to her girl friends. But then we'd have a swarm of she beasts in the apartment."

"And we're really sorry we didn't say anything about coming." Mac nodded. "I couldn't tell Haylie what was going on because I promised Kaylin she could be the one to tell her, and I wasn't allowed to message Kaylin or Axel because the girls wanted to surprise Kaylin."

"You were put in a twisted situation." I nodded. "I get it. I've been home for 3 days, I've had some time with her."

"Oh fuck." He groaned. "I didn't even think about that."

"It's alright. We don't leave until Wednesday."

He sighed and shook his head. "Your couch is comfortable, right?"

"You're not joining the slumber party?" Lachlin laughed.

"No man, interrupts a pour it out, and that includes me." He nodded.

"Take the guest room." I nodded.

"No. You have already been kicked out of your bed, I am fine on the couch."

"Or we could have a-"

"We are not having a slumber party in your bed Lachlin." I shook my head.

"You truly are, no fun." He rolled his eyes.

"Alright Mac, what else do we need for this pour it out?"

"A toast." He nodded.

"Well then." Lachlin raised his glass again. "To Mac's engagement."

"Here here." Mac raised his glass.

"To amazing girlfriends." Lachlin nodded.

"Yes sir." I raised my glass.

"And to that beautiful ass blonde upstairs because fuck she's pretty." He smiled.

"Oh boy." I groaned and took a drink.

Oh fucking god.
