He stays frozen in place, rereading the message. I hold my breath until he moves. Finally, he looks up at me.
"You-you mean-" he stutters. I grab the notebook writing down "Sorry" "No. Not that. You forgive me?"
I smile and nod. Maybe I am stupid for forgiving. Maybe I forgave everyone much too quickly. But, I have my magnificent mate who has now marked me, I have Matthew and Claire who until 4 years ago was always there for me, and now, now I can have my brother. I miss him. I also miss Micah, but that's just a whole other crazy ass story. I mean, he did dump me in a river and threw a rock at me.
Steven smiles and hugs me. "Oh thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! You won't regret it! I'll-I'll let you hit me and not hit back, I'll take you out anywhere you want, I'll let you draw on my face when I go to sleep and not get mad, hell I'll teach you how to drive! Thanks Lucy! This is amazing!"
Driving?! I always wanted to learnt go drive. They never taught me. I only ever got in a car so I could go to school. I squeal and jump up and down. "The driving thing?" Steven asks, wondering why I got so excited. I nod and pull him towards the door so we could go.
"Whoa! Whoa! Slow down there! We can't go now," he says stopping me. I frown. Why the hell not?!
"Lucy, someone is on the territory that shouldn't be. You saw that note. We can't go out. At least not you. Not without Xavier's permission." I scoff and fold my arms
across my chest I don't need his permission. I'm 18!
"If you get hurt, in anyway, Xavier will literally kill me. Do you want me to die?" He asks, staring at me with a serious expression.

I give him puppy dog eyes and a small pout. "Lucy, we literally just made up two minutes ago. And now, you want me to go get killed and you a huge ass lecture?"
He raises his eyebrows folding his arms across his chest.
He won't notice! He's busy! Please! Teach me the basics and let me drive around and then we will put the car back and no one will know.
He sighs. "I get in trouble, I'm showing him this notebook," he says giving in. I smile and drag him towards the door.

We walk into the garage and see the dozens of cars. I see the one Xavier constantly uses and personally, it's my favorite. However, I know he won't like us using it because it's his baby apparently. Steven walks to a small red car. "This is Peter's old car. He has a new one now," he says pointing to a shiny black truck. "I don't see why he would mind. As long as we don't crash."
He grabs the one of the many keys and unlocks the car. I get in the drivers spot. This is great.
