A tangled thread, a knotted string,
Love you, hate you, what thoughts you bring.
Just friends, I say, a hollow plea,
Why constant echoes, just of thee?
Perhaps it's lonely, this weary soul,
A heavy tiredness takes its toll.
Old days flicker, a youthful gleam,
Of joy and laughter, a forgotten dream.
Now days are painted, shades of gray,
Depression's shadow holds its sway.
Betrayal's sting, a bitter tear,
A heavy sadness, year by year.
A desperate whisper, "Let me cease,"
A building's edge, a false release.
Would life improve, if I could flee?
Or is this darkness, just in me?
Oh, to rewind, to turn the tide,
To live with passion, deep inside.
To chase the dreams, I held so dear,
And cast away all doubt and fear.
To find that joy, that vibrant spark,
To cry in comfort, in the dark,
Not hidden sobs, in bathroom's gloom,
But open tears, to banish doom.
