In Garden
Kartik and Naira stand in the garden away from their families trying to figure out how to handle the situation
Naira: (arms crossed deep in thought) Toh ab kya karein Tumhari family ko toh lagta hai ki hum sirf dost hain aur mujhe nahi lagta ki unko sach batane ka yeh sahi time hai
Kartik: (nodding) Haan abhi sach bolne ka matlab hoga aur zyada problems create karna Bas ek galat move aur sab kuch bigad sakta hai
Naira: (sighing) Matlab filhaal humein sirf act karna padega Sirf dost ban ke rahna hoga
Kartik: (shrugging) Haan jab tak sahi waqt na aaye Tumhari family toh pehle se sab jaanti hai unke saamne mujhe kuch pretend nahi karna padega par meri family ke saamne mujhe sirf tumhara ek acha dost banna padega
Naira: (murmuring) Acha dost jo secretly uska pati bhi hai
Kartik smirks but quickly controls his expression
Kartik: (serious tone) Naira abhi humein sab kuch carefully plan karna hoga Hum galti afford nahi kar sakte dadi aur Papa already mere upar shaadi ka pressure daal rahe hain aur tum jaanti ho kis se
Naira: (clenching her jaw) Hmm vedika se

Kartik thinks for a moment then looks at Naira
Kartik: Sabse pehle humein apni story strong banani hogi unhe yeh lagna chahiye ki hum sirf ache dost hain bas koi shak nahi hona chahiye
Naira: (raising an eyebrow) Matlab ekdum dosti wali acting Matlab tum mujhe hug bhi nahi kar sakte
Kartik: (mock serious) Bilkul nahi ab se sirf handshake allowed hai
Naira glares at him while Kartik chuckles
Naira: Tum iss situation ko mazak mat banao Kartik
Kartik: (grinning) Arre tension kam kar raha hoon Madam But seriously humein har situation ko carefully handle karna padega Koi bhi overacting nahi koi bhi extra closeness nahi hum bas waise behave karenge jaise ek normal ladka ladki behave karte hain jo sirf dost hain
Naira: (mocking) Matlab mujhe tumse door rehna hoga
Kartik: (sighing dramatically) Bohot mushkil kaam hai par karna padega
Naira rolls her eyes but nods
Naira: Aur meri family ko kab batayenge ki hum kya plan kar rahe hain
Kartik: Jab bhi sahi waqt milega abhi andar sab baithke baat kar rahe hain hum directly nahi bol sakte Par jald hi humein unhe bata dena hoga taaki koi confusion na ho
Naira: Theek hai toh ab sirf act karna hai aur wait karna hai sahi waqt ka
Kartik: (smiling slightly) Haan aur jab woh sahi waqt aayega tab hum saari sachai bata denge
Both of them nod at each other their plan set They know it won't be easy but they have no other choice right now
Naira: (smirking) Tum ready ho mere naye dost
Kartik: (laughing slightly) Bilkul meri dost
They both shake hands sealing their plan After taking a deep breath they turn towards the house preparing themselves for the act they have to put up in front of Kartik's family
Singhania Sadan in living room
The living room is lively with conversations between the Singhanias and Goenkas naksh is sitting with Kirti's family talking about random topics shubham and mansi are chatting with Trisha and Gayu while Luv and Kush are playing with Misti The elders are discussing wedding traditions and family matters
Just then Kartik and Naira walk inside
Naksh who was sitting with Kirti's family immediately notices Kartik and stands up in confusion
Naksh: (frowning) Kartik Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho
Before Kartik can answer Naira quickly leans toward Naksh and whispers
Naira: (softly) Bhai abhi nahi hum baad mein sab bata denge
Naksh looks at her still confused but nods slightly meanwhile akhilesh notices Kartik
Akhilesh: (curious) Kartik beta kaha chala gaya tha tu
Kartik: (calmly) Bas ek important call aaya tha mujhe isliye bahar gaya tha
Before the conversation can Continue kirti turns to Naksh
Kirti: (curiously) Naksh aap Kartik ko jaante ho kya
Naksh is about to answer but before he can speak Kartik quickly interrupts
Kartik: (smiling slightly) Haan Naksh mujhe jaanta hai woh Naira ka bhai hai aur main Naira ka dost hoon Main Naksh aur unki family se pehle bahut baar mil chuka hoon
Naira nods supporting Kartik's words naksh and the Singhania family glance at Kartik and Naira with slight confusion
Naksh still trying to process everything turns to Kirti
Naksh: (raising an eyebrow) Kirti aap Kartik ko kaise jaanti hain
Kirti smiles proudly
Kirti: Kartik mera bhai hai
Naksh looks shocked his gaze shifting between Kartik and Kirti meanwhile the Singhania family looks at Kartik and Naira in confusion as if trying to understand what's going on
Manish: yeh rishta humare dono parivaron ke liye bohot zaroori hai Hum chahte hain ki har ek cheez dhyaan se soch samajh kar ho
Naitik smiles politely
Naitik: Bilkul Humein bhi yahi chahiye ki sab kuch sahi tareeke se ho
The elders continue their discussion while Naksh keeps stealing glances at Kartik trying to figure out what's going on meanwhile Vedika who had been sitting quietly finally gathers the courage to speak to Kartik
Vedika: (softly) Kartik
But Kartik immediately turns cold His expression hardens and his voice is sharp
Kartik: (rudely) Mujhe tumse koi baat nahi karni Vedika
The entire room goes silent manish glares at Kartik silently warning him to not speak this way in front of everyone But Kartik doesn't care His hatred for his family and Vedika is clear
Vedika looks down hurt but doesn't say anything Surekha tries to change the topic
Surekha: (awkwardly smiling) Chalo hum kuch meetha kha lete hain itna bada rishta fix ho raha hai toh kuch mitha ho jaye
Bhabhimaa nods and asks the servants to bring sweets Meanwhile Naira notices the tension on Kartik's face She lightly touches his arm and whispers
Naira: (softly) Relax Kartik abhi yeh sab mat dikhao
Kartik exhales deeply and nods slightly he knows they have to act carefully
