(So I know I said no more warnings, but this one is a little more disturbing. Luckily I'm not that good at writing gore, but still be warned!)
Pin was walking along the shore of the Goiky Canal, the soft waves lapping at the stretch of sand. The sun had just begun to set, the sky beginning to turn a deep orange hue. Pin would sit on the sand nearby, quietly watching the beautiful sunset as the ball of fire in the sky slowly sunk farther down into the endless horizon. The sand was warm, having been heated constantly throughout the day. A small smile would snake across the thumbtack's 'face' as she shut her eyes, a moment of peace finally sinking into her exhausted form.
Though, it wouldn't last for long.
Opening her eyes again, Pin would be met with the bright scarlet sky. The sun would paint the water the same color, as its appearance would take on that of blood. The longer the pushpin would stare at the scene, the more memories would come flooding back to her. Soon the water didn't look as if it was colored-no, the water was blood. Different hues of reds all mixed into a vast body of blood. Hidden inside the water were hundreds of eyes, all staring at her.
Pin panicked, swiftly trying to stand up and run away. Though the blood would follow her, the waves crawling up the shoreline faster than she could run. Eyes burned into the back of her head. The sand stunted her speed, as she desperately tried to run faster. They were after her, after what she had done her sins had finally come back to engulf her. Behind her the waves would rise faster and faster, soon becoming a tsunami of gore and blood. Chunks of meat and tendons flowed smoothly through the liquid, loose bones spilling out of the tide of flesh. Pin clearly couldn't run fast enough, as finally the wave of mistakes crashed over her.
It was suffocating, the screams of terror seemed to have no end. They were a cacophony of all the voices she had ever heard, yet there was no way to pinpoint just one. She floated aimlessly as she choked on the blood and carnage inside of it, soon she began to try and resurface. Though, now there seemed to be no end to the sea of blood. She felt every surface sting with pain as cracked bones scraped against her everywhere. A familiar noise would read her 'ears', the muffled screams of a gem. The screams soon became louder and louder, as she began to make out words.
"WHY" She chanted over and over again, still growing louder and louder.
"WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO US?!" The voices of Pencil and Book joined in.
"W H Y" They were all too loud, she tried to escape, but her hacking and drowning reminded her of the unbearable pain in her lungs. Her vision was engulfed in blood red still, her eyes stung from the exposure and scratches. She tried to scream, but nothing would come out anymore. She didn't want it to be like this, she needed to get out, she NEEDED TO GET OUT, SHE NEEDED TO-
Shooting up from her bed, Pin would begin to hack and cough. What had happened? Had she escaped? Her lungs were finally clear again, though the phantom sensation of her nightmare still clung to her. She clutched her 'throat', slowly taking deep breaths. Her vision was now no longer the crimson it had been, but a dark black
Oh, it had been a nightmare, hadn't it? Sighing with shaky relief, Pin relaxed a bit. That wasn't real, there was nothing to worry about. Though, the choking sensation was something she could still remember vividly. The window still indicated that it was either night or very early morning. She grabbed her phone to check the time. Yep, it was 2 am, and she had gone to sleep last night at 10 pm. Curling up on her bed, she wouldn't sleep for the rest of the night. There was no way she was going to take any chance to revisit that.
~~~~~~
It was morning by the time Pin had finally left her room, it was barely past sunrise. She had refused to look out her window for the whole event due to the reminders of her dream, specifically its red sky. She felt horrible, getting four hours of sleep could do that to anyone. Though, when it mixed with her already bad mindset, she felt even worse.
She skipped all of her morning routine, deciding she didn't feel up to it today. Immediately heading outside, Pin covered her eyes when she saw how bright it was. Internally sighing, she knew she had to keep up this habit to at least seem normal to everyone else. Letting her eyes adjust for a moment, she set off on her normal path.
Along the way, she kept feeling her 'head' slowly drip down, before she would startle herself upright again, because she kept falling asleep while walking. She could barely pay any attention to the scenery around her, before the tallest building in the city finally caught her blurry gaze. It seemed like this place would always catch her eye whenever or wherever she was. Letting her fingers dig into her side, Pin made an attempt to focus more on the scenery around her, as she finally began to feel awake for the first time today.
The streets were desolate, as they normally were around here. Everyone lived in their own parts of the city afterall, only some rarely went out to visit others. Glancing up, Pin would assess who would be at the top of the towering building. As expected, Ice Cube and Bubble would be barely visible. Because they were the only ones left from freesmart, it seems she would have to go for one of them next. Oh well, it wasn't like she was going to go up all of those stairs again, much less in broad daylight. She'll think of a plan during the rest of her walk then recircle. Letting her hand finally relax by her side, Pin would continue to try and not fall asleep for the rest of her stroll.
~~~~~~
After finally thinking of a plan, Pin would now be seated inside of an empty building in front of the Yoyle Needy, aimlessly staring out of a window waiting for one of the objects to leave their spire. Finally, she spotted the two water-based materials exiting the bottom of the tower. Pin quickly sat up, staring at them for a little longer before she opened the window. She was currently a few stories up in a building not far from the tower. Holding a slingshot, Pin would estimate the distance between her and Bubble, slowly drawing back a rock in the elastic rubber and raising it up. She'd finally release the rock, watching as it landed a few feet away from the bubble. Cursing herself, she aimed it up again, this time hitting her mark perfectly. The Soap bubble popped instantly, and a confused Ice Cube looked over at where she used to be. Pin was too high up to hear what she said, but it seemed that Ice Cube had started heading in the direction of the recovery center.
Dropping the slingshot, Pin picked up her putty knife and headed down the flights of stairs, preparing to meet Ice Cube.
Opening the door at the bottom of the building, Pin would step out into the dimming light of the day. She would still wear a tired look on her face, but she would force her deadened legs to walk faster as she tried to catch up with Ice Cube. There was no one else in sight as Pin crept closer.
Closer, the frozen water was only a few strides away.
She was almost there now, she just needed to take a few more steps.
The sight of the sunset creeping around a building made her freeze. It's deep red rays shooting straight through her. She felt pinned in place (pun intended) as she heard a whisper from behind her.
"Why did you do this to me?" She began to feel her throat clog up again.
"Why did you do this to all of us?" Liquid blood pouring into her lungs.
"WHY, PIN?" Shattered bones scraping against her skin everywhere.
"PIN, WHY?!" The muffled screams of the damned.
"PIN!" Hundreds of eyes staring at her.
"PIN!!" It was too loud-it was too loud-IT WAS TOO LOUD-IT WAS-
"PIN! Wake up!" Shooting up, hacking and coughing again Pin was awake. Ice Cube was standing next to her, desperately shaking her.
"What-huh-?" She thought she was back there again, but when had she fallen asleep?
"Hey! Are you okay?-I was just walking to the recovery center when you happened to be walking behind me and suddenly collapsed!" Ice Cube seemed worried, though anyone would in a moment like this.
"I'm fine, I just didn't get enough sleep last night, so I must've passed out from exhaustion.." Slowly sitting up, Pin would take a few deep breaths. Repeating the mantra in her head that she had told herself the whole morning. It wasn't real, it was just a dream. It wasn't real, it was just a dream...
Standing up, Pin would dust herself off. Afterall she had a job to do now.
"Thanks for trying to wake me up, I know we have some tension between us and all..."
"Don't worry-it's fine. All that stuff was years ago anyway" Ice cube looked off to the side, smirking a bit as she talked.
"Yeah, I shouldn't have tried to force you into something you didn't want to do.." They both awkwardly looked away from each other, the memories replaying in both of their minds.
"-whatever, let's just get this over with-" Pin would pick up her putty knife-
"Huh? What do you mean-" -Slamming Ice Cube on the head, knocking her out cold. (pun intended) She was too tired to make any efforts to tie her up, so she simply grabbed her leg and began to drag her the whole way there.
~~~~~~
Finally arriving at The Building, Pin would glance back at the body of Ice Cube. The side of her body would be grated, scratched and scraped all over. Small cuts would gently bleed, though not enough to collect yet. Dragging her to the basement, Pin would take a deep breath before entering. As long as they were all still there, there was nothing to worry about. She'd quickly open the door, dragging Ice Cube behind her still.
The room was dark until Pin flicked on the light switch. All three 'heads' seemed to perk up. Two much more lively then the third in their angered and annoyed muffled arguments. Pencil's wounds seemed to finally have dried up, though looked nowhere close to recovering. It wasn't the same to say for Book though, her binder had been cut and it was still bleeding. Ropes and chains rattled as Pin passed by them all, finding another nearby pillar next to Pencil. Tying someone up has become easier to do, after all, experience is the best teacher.
Now it was time to take the 'paint'. Bringing her putty knife up against Ice Cube's leg, she was about to stab it in when the muffled arguments went silent, and only Pencil began speaking. She couldn't make out what it was, but it annoyed her. Somehow even being gagged couldn't shut her up. Pin stabbed the putty knife into Ice Cube's leg, making her wake up with a jolt.
"You know, maybe some of you need to be put in your places" Yanking it from Ice Cube's leg once again made her let out a muffled scream of pain. She heard some muffled protests and worries from the other three when they heard the noise.
"Now, will anyone else complain? Or will someone be losing a finger or a toe?" Dead silence, no one dared to speak up anymore.
"Good, now I'll see you all tomorrow~!" Pin sung in a mocking voice, knowing that none of them would even try to protest now. She began to make her way to the door. Strangely enough, getting all of them to be quiet with a threat made her feel good, her past tiredness now replaced with pure glee. Moving to the bathroom to test the color of Ice Cube's blood, Pin sighed as she stared down at the putty knife. She stopped halfway there, obviously it wasn't the right red again. This blood was a bright Raspberry color. Still, she continued on her way to the bathroom to wash off all of the blood that had spilled on herself.
She knew that she'd have nightmares tonight too, but at this point.
There would be no way they would stop.
Afterall,
Her life right now was a living nightmare
(Author's note)
(Hello once again! I am here to report that this will be the last chapter to come out this week. The next one will (hopefully) Come out around next week. Also, NOW you can suggest events you might want to happen next!! :) I know in the last chapter I said that you could do it in that chapter, but I ended up releasing this one before anyone commented. Soo..Yeah!
Also, please tell me if you want me to keep adding art to my chapters, or take it away. I feel at some point you lose the meaning of having the reader decide what the scene looked like, and only focus on what the author wanted it to look like. Everyone envisions scenes and books differently, so I just want your guys' opinions on it.)
