The moment I entered the house it felt like it would have been better if I would have died there rather than coming here .

It's been one month since I have been here in California and I think now it's time to get back to my house. This whole month i devoted myself to my work . I just wanted to stop feeling things for her , whether it be care or lust but I am more than sure it is more than lust .
I have to go to New York soon because my wife has been living with my parents in my absence . Mom has been nagging me again and again to come home and spend some time with my wife and I have been telling her that I am stuck cracking an important deal . But I can't keep the act for so long , if Serafina would have stayed in my mansion then mom would have never questioned me but no she has to go there . I am sure she must have said something to mom or else she won't call me everyday . I will show her soon what mistake she has committed by going and staying with my parents that too without even telling me .
" Get the plane ready we are going to New York." I call the pilot and tell him .
I will reach late at night so that I can see what my wife has been doing in my absence . She will get shocked , everyone will be shocked because I told them that I wont be able to go there till the end of the next month .
And as there is no meeting and also lately I am having this unwanted desperation to see my wife not on recordings , but with my own eyes .
Soon , I will see her soon with my eyes .
*Time skip*
I reached the airport at 3:30 am it would take me half an hour to reach my parents'house.
The drive to the mansion was quick.
Everyone must be sleeping. I signalled the guard on the gate to open the door.
I first went to the kitchen and drank some water . Now I need to see my wife, I will meet the rest of the family tomorrow morning .
I make my way to my room upstairs where I am sure my wife must be sleeping. I open the door carefully without making any noise so that she doesn't wake up . But the sight before me says that she is not .
Her clothes are scattered everywhere on the bed . Her make-up products are there on the dressing table . She even forgot her phone on the table . My wife is nowhere to be seen . I check the washroom but she is not even there . Did she run away or get caught in any danger .
I quickly dial Domenic. He was suppose to watch her and it is nearly impossible for her to run away without being caught under his watch .
" Hello sir , is there any problem ."
"Where are you ? " I ask ignoring his question.
" I am in the factory ."
"Why the fuck did you go there ? I asked to look after my wife right then why the hell did you go there ? " I yelled at him . This fucker can't do one thing right .
" Sir there was a problem here , one of the men had an family emergency so he had to leave then I had to come here to handle a situation . Also ma'am was in her room . She always stays in her room and doesn't come out that is why I came here and it has only been 2 hours since I came here. "
" Then why the hell I can't fucking find my wife in her room or any other room ?" I am frustrated at this point , I have checked the pool area ,the garden , the library and the music room , she is nowhere .
" Sir I will comeback soon and tell someone to check ma'am 's location . "
"You better do it fast , I want my wife infront of me in an hour or else get ready to lose your life." Saying this I cut the call .
I go to Federico's room to call him so that he can help me to find Serafina but to my suprise even he is not inthe house . I call him but he is not receiving my call.
I didn't want to wake up my parents but there is no other option left . Serafina and Federico are nowhere in the house and there might be a chance that both of them are together . No one would spare my wife from my wrath . How dare she leave the house without informing me .
I knocked on my parents door and soon Dad opened the door rubbing his eyes . Fuck I feel bad for waking them up .
" Riccardo You , when did you come back from California? " Dad asked
"Riccardo my baby " mom came out of the room and hugged me .
" Mom , Dad I can't find Serafina and Federico . Do you know where they are ? " I say breaking the hug .
" No , they both had their dinner and went to their room to sleep . " Mom said
" Did you call them ? " Dad asked
" Serafina's phone is in the room and Federico is not receiving my calls ." I say rubbing a hand on my face . Both of them are idiots . How careless they can be .
" Please God keep them safe , my babies ." Mom was now on the verge of crying .
Dad took Mom in the living room and made her sit on the couch .
" Call our men , tell them to track their location fast . I want my children here as soon as possible. " Dad said while giving mom some water to drink .
" I already d....." I stopped mid sentence when we heard the main door open . There stood my wife and my badly injured brother who was not even able to stand . His entire body weight was on my wife and she was struggling to keep them both standing . He had a jacket tied to his stomach which has now turned red due to his blood .
"What the fuck ? ". I roared not able to control my anger . I went towards them , my brother was not even in his senses it was like he was barely able to breathe while my wife was looking at me with a shocked face .
She didn't expect me to come this soon . And now that I am here and I have seen what she have done in absence she is going to face the consequences and she knows this very well .
I took my brother from her hold and went towards the couch and made him sleep on the couch .
" Dad call the doctor as soon as possible . " I said to dad while removing the jacket tied to his stomach . It looks like someone has stabbed him with a knife and not once but twice or thrice .
" Federico my baby look at your mom . Open your eyes . " Mom was not crying while caressing his cheek .
"M-mom C-cel-li " he tried to say but it came out as a mere whisper.
My eyes went towards my wife who was still standing in the same spot looking like a scared cat . My eyes went to her clothes . ( If you all forget the outfit go to the last chapter and imagine it without a jacket )
What the hell is she wearing . Is this how she roams around when I am not here . Her face and arms have scratches and a piece of cloth is tied to her leg and that cloth has turned red while some blood trailed down her legs .
Where the fuck both of them were this late . Both are going to get what they deserve for their actions . And my wife is going fucking get a special punishment for not listening to me and for wearing such clothes and going out in my absence .
" Sera , sweetheart what's going on ? Where were you ? Are you okay ? ." Dad went to her and hugged her . I kept looking at her now she was crying in his embrace. Dad bought her with him and made her sit on the chair, she was limping because of her injury .
"Dad , Fed he is not okay . He will be okay right ." She was crying like a baby . I have never seen her cry like this . Her tears are doing something in my heart . I am feeling restless looking at her but no she will fucking regret sneaking out .
Dad was hugging her and caressing her hair while she cried staring at Federico , mom was talking to Federico trying to keep him awake .
Soon the doctor came and started treating Federico 's wound. His face was swollen like someone has punched him and he got stitches on his stomach the cut was deep and because of blood loss he was unconscious . We shifted him to his room so that the doctor can attach the IV to his hand .
After the doctor was done with him , I left the room with him and went to the living room where my wife was sitting on the couch alone staring at nothing .
"Check her wound " I told him and sat beside her . As soon as I sat beside her she kept looking at me . Her hand was literally shivering .
She flinched when the doctor touched her thigh . The doctor looked at me and I still signalled him to continue . Even if I don't like him touching her bare thigh but I don't have any other option rather than letting him do his work.
She again flinched when he touched the wound and looked at me and then at him .
" Stay fucking still and let him do his work ." I said sternly , she still tried to take her leg away from her but went still when I took the hold of her leg and signalled the doctor to continue.
I didn't bother to remove my hand from her leg .
It is not the time to think this but her skin is literally smooth like butter.
The untied the cloth wrapped around her wound and the sight was so fucking nasty . The motherfucker who has done this is going to get his life fucked by me for scarring her beautiful leg .
What the fuck Riccardo?
She kept wincing when the doctor was cleaning her wound but then held my hand which was on her thigh when she started stitching it. She needed stitches because the cut was deep .
She buried her head in my shoulder and kept moaning due to pain .
" Do it fucking slow , can't you see she is in pain . " I glared at the doctor.
"Boss it will hurt a little . " He stated looking into my eyes but soon lowered his eyes when I gave him a sharp glare. This fucker
"Do it fast . " I said looking at my wife who was now writhing in pain with her head buried in my shoulder .
I don't know how long I kept looking at her but my staring session broke when I heard someone clear his throat .
" Done , these are the prescription for your brother and these for your wife " he said giving me the paper . I nodded my head and then told him to leave . My wife was still in the same position but now her whimpers had stopped , she might have slept because of exhaustion .
I gently picked her up and took her towards our , I mean my bedroom and made her sleep on the bed . I covered her with a quilt and sat there in a chair near her .
I took the mobile and informed Domenic that both Federico and Serafina are home . I also told him to find out where they both were yesterday and how they ended up in this situation . I told him to bring the medicines as soon as possible and then cut the call
Taking one last look at my wife I left the room and went to my brother's room . Mom was sitting there beside him and dad was sitting on the chair beside his bed .
" Mom , go and rest there is no need to take tension he is fine . " I said while caressing her hand .
" No , nothing is fine . See my baby how lifeless he looks and how is Sera feeling ? I didn't even look at her or ask her how she is . She might be thinking that how much of a bad mother I am . She is fine right . Let me go and see her . " She said trying to get up from the bed .
" Mom she is fine and she will not think anything like this so don't worry. You were tensed about Federico that is why you were not able to look at her okay , she will understand this . Also don't go there she is sleeping . " I said while trying to calm her .
" God knows who is after my children . I can't lose you both and my Sera . I won't be able to live if anything happens to my children . " She said while crying . I felt helpless while looking at her .
I looked at my dad for some help . He was having the same helpless expression on his face . He is worried about both of them but is trying to keep his emotions in control . Even if he was the former mafia king , he is still the best father a child can get .
"Amore mio, calmati, entrambi i nostri figli sono vicini a noi, guariranno presto." He said and came towards her , then took her towards their room .
( Translation :
my love calm down both our children are near us , they will get better soon . )
I went near Frederico and caressed his hair. I lost my one sibling and I won't lose another . Whoever has done this will get the payback for this soon. I won't let that person die easily.
I went to my room and then slept on the same bed with my wife .
Tomorrow she will give me the answers and also face the consequences .
I kept staring at her she was in the same dress she had worn earlier , i don't bother to change her dress , I don't want her to feel that I saw her naked when she was not in her senses . Also I can't call the maid because we are at our parents house . She looks so young and beautiful and why the hell is her hair red and so short . Did she colour it red or is it fake . I will get to know everything tomorrow . I held her hand , she didn't even wake up because of the medication . Her hand feels nice in mine . I feel myself calming down . Because of the jet lag and unforeseen events I soon lost myself into the darkness.
