After dinner, Johnny said goodbye to Y/n and her parents, thanking them again for the lovely meal and their support.
Y/n walked him to the doo and they shared a quick hug before he left. She watched his car drive away with a small smile on her face.
Once back inside, Y/n headed straight to her room. She closed the door and let out a happy sigh, her heart still fluttering from the evening.
She couldn’t stop thinking about Johnny...how nervous he was, how well he handled her father’s questions and how sweet he had been.
Feeling good, she decided to do her self care routine.

Y/n changed into her comfy pyjamas, tied her hair up and went to the bathroom. She washed her face, applied her favourite skincare products and brushed her teeth. As she looked at herself in the mirror, she couldn’t help but smile.
Her mind kept wandering back to Johnny...his smile, the way he looked at her and how he was willing to face anything just to be with her. It made her heart feel warm and full.
By the time she climbed into bed, /Yn felt completely relaxed and happy. She snuggled under the covers, her thoughts still on Johnny. For the first time in a while, everything felt right and she couldn’t wait to see him again.

The next morning, Y/n woke up feeling refreshed and happy. She went through her morning routine...brushing her teeth, washing her face and getting dressed. After grabbing a quick breakfast, she got into her car and drove to college.
When she arrived at the parking lot, she saw Johnny and the others standing around, laughing about some guy they had seen earlier.
Johnny spotted Y/n as soon as she parked and immediately walked over to her. His smile was big and bright and his energy was full of excitement.
“Hey, beautiful.” Johnny greeted her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder like a boyfriend would. Y/n blushed but smiled back.
The others noticed right away.
“Wait... what’s going on here?” Tommy asked.
“Yeah, what’s with the boyfriend vibes, Johnny?” Dutch smirked.
Johnny grinned, glancing at Y/n before turning back to the group.
“Well, if you must know, Y/n and I are together now. So yeah, she’s officially my girlfriend.”
Y/n nodded, a little shy but happy.
“It’s true.”
The group went silent for a moment before Bobby broke out into a laugh.
“Finally! Took you two long enough.”
“Yeah, no surprise there.” Jimmy smiled.
Dutch pretended to gag.
“Great, now we’ll have to deal with you two being all lovey dovey.”
“Jealous much?” Johnny smirked.
Y/n laughed at their reactions.
Daniel walked over, curious about what was going on. He noticed the way Johnny had his arm around Y/n.
“What’s this? Did I miss something?” Daniel asked with a teasing smile.
Johnny smirked and pulled Y/n a little closer.
“Yeah, Y/n and I are together now.”
Daniel’s face lit up with surprise and then genuine happiness.
“Really? That’s great! I’m happy for you guys.”
Y/n smiled.
“Thanks, Daniel.”
But then Daniel, always the curious one reminded them of something .
“So... what about Heather and Mike? How do you think they’re going to take the news?”
Johnny rolled his eyes, clearly not interested in their opinions.
“Honestly? I don’t care. It’s not like Y/n or I were dating either of them. They can deal with it.”
“Fair point. Well, good luck with that, though. You know how dramatic they can be.” Daniel laughed.
Y/n chuckled and Johnny shrugged like it was no big deal.
“Yeah, let them be dramatic. Doesn’t bother me.”
The group shared a laugh and Daniel gave Y/n a quick hug.
“Glad to see you’re happy.” He said, genuinely supportive.
It felt good to have him on their side.
“You know, we kinda suspected something was going on between you two last night. The way you were acting...it wasn’t exactly subtle.” Jimmy nudged Johnny.
“Yeah, Johnny, you were all protective and stuff. And Y/n, you couldn’t stop blushing. It was suspicious.” Bobby laughed.
“We didn’t think we’d actually be right, though! This is wild.” Tommy chuckled.
Y/n rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide her smile. Johnny just shrugged.
“Well, you guys were right. And you know what? There’s more good news. Y/n’s dad is actually on our side. He’s even willing to talk to my dad about everything.”
“Wait, are you serious? Y/n’s dad is gonna face Sid? That’s bold.” Tommy asked.
“Yeah, he said he’s going to handle the whole rivalry thing. Might actually solve some of the problems.” Johnny added.
Bobby whistled.
“Man, that’s some next level support. Looks like things are finally turning around for you, Johnny.”
Y/n smiled, feeling proud of her father for stepping up.
The group joked a little more, teasing Johnny about being “whipped” now but it was all in good fun.
“If being whipped means I get Y/n, then I’ll take it.” Johnny joked.
That made everyone laugh and roll their eyes, including Yn.
Dutch nudged Johnny.
“Heads up, Mike’s coming.” He whispered, nodding towards Mike as he walked their way.
Mike approached with a smile, greeting everyone normally.
“Hey, guys. What’s up?” He said.
But his eyes quickly narrowed as he noticed how close Johnny and Y/n were standing. His smile faded.
“What’s going on here?” He asked.
“They’re together." Daniel smirked.
Mike turned to her.
“You’re dating him?” He asked, disbelief dripping from his words.
“Why would you go for a guy like Johnny?”
Y/n frowned and was confused.
“Why does it matter to you, Mike? It’s none of your business.” She said.
Johnny stepped forward.
“Oh, I get it. You’re mad because you hate me, Mike. That’s fine. You’ve hated me for years. Seeing me with Y/n just gives you another reason to sulk.”
Mike glared at him.
“You’re right, I do hate you, Lawrence. You’re a cocky, reckless idiot who ruins everything he touches. And now Y/n’s caught up in your mess.”
Johnny’s jaw clenched.
“Listen, Barnes, if I’m so bad, why don’t you stay out of my life? Y/n doesn’t need your approval and neither do I. Go find someone else to boss around.”
Mike ignored Johnny and turned to Y/n.
“I just don’t get it, Y/n. Why him? He’s trouble.”
Y/n had enough. She stepped in between them.
“Mike, you have no right to react like this. This is my choice, not yours. Whatever your problem with Johnny is, leave me out of it. You don’t get to control who I date.”
Johnny smirked at Y/n’s words but couldn’t resist adding more.
“Hear that, Barnes? She doesn’t care about your opinion. So why don’t you take your jealousy and walk away?”
Mike glared at Johnny but he didn’t say anything more. Instead, he walked away leaving the group standing there. Dutch let out a low whistle.
“Well, that was fun.”
Y/n turned to Johnny, shaking her head.
“You didn’t have to make it worse.”
“What can I say? He brings out the worst in me.” Johnny shrugged.
Mike wasn’t gone for long. He came back, his face still angry and stopped in front of Y/n and Johnny. The group turned silent, sensing something was about to go down.
“You wanna know why it bothers me so much?” Mike asked looking straight at Y/n.
“It’s because I like you, Y/n. I’ve liked you for a long time.”
The confession hung in the air like a bomb had just gone off. Everyone stared at Mike in shock, including Y/n, who blinked in disbelief. Johnny’s jaw tightened.
“You’ve got to be kidding me...You? Liking Y/n? That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard all day. What, you thought you had a chance?” Johnny scoffed.
Mike shot Johnny a deadly glare.
“Shut up, Lawrence. I’m not talking to you.”
Johnny stepped forward.
"You don’t get to talk to her like that, Barnes. You’ve got some nerve coming here, acting like you’re some saint. You’re just mad she chose me over you.”
“Chosen you?” Mike sneered.
“You’re a train wreck, Johnny. You don’t deserve her.”
Johnny’s face twisted in anger and he took another step forward but Y/n quickly grabbed his arm.
“Johnny, stop.” She said, pulling him back. Then she turned to Mike.
“Mike, I’m sorry if you like me but I can’t do anything about it. I don’t feel the same way. I’m with Johnny and that’s not going to change.”
“You’re making a mistake, Y/n...When he screws everything up and he will...don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
Y/n looked hurt by his words but she didn’t waver.
“That’s not fair, Mike. I’m sorry if this hurts you but you don’t get to talk to me like that.”
Mike scoffed, his tone turning rude.
“Whatever. You’ll regret this someday, Y/n.”
Without another word, he walked away.
"What a loser.” Johnny muttered.
Y/n sighed, letting go of Johnny’s arm.
“I didn’t think he’d react like that.”
Johnny smirked, though his eyes were still angry.
“Barnes just learned the hard way...you can’t win against me.”
As soon as Mike was out of sight, the group broke the silence.
Bobby was the first to speak, crossing his arms and shaking his head.
“Man, Mike’s got issues. Did he really think confessing his love in the middle of a parking lot was gonna work? What’s next, writing Y/n a poem and throwing it through her window?”
Tommy laughed, slapping his knee.
“More like carving it into a tree with his pocketknife. ‘Mike + Y/n forever.’ Pathetic.”
“Honestly, I’m just glad he didn’t bring out a boombox and start blasting love songs. Could you imagine?” Daniel giggled.
“Probably Bon Jovi..Or something equally dramatic. Mike’s the type.” Dutch shrugged.
“Bon Jovi? Nah, Mike would play something embarrassing like Careless Whisper. You know, just to make everyone cringe.” Johnny laughed.
Y/n groaned, though she couldn’t help but laugh.
“Guys, stop. This isn’t helping!”
But Bobby wasn’t done.
“You know what’s worse? Mike’s whole ‘you’ll regret this’ speech. What is he, a soap opera villain? I was waiting for him to twirl a moustache.”
“That’s probably next...He’ll show up in a cape, like, ‘Y/n, you’ve betrayed me! How dare you choose Johnny Lawrence over me!’ ” Jimmy joked.
“Yeah and then I’ll knock his lights out. End of story.” Johnny snortrd.
The group burst out laughing again, and even Y/n couldn’t stay mad.
"This is not funny".
“Just saying, Y/n...You dodged a bullet. And by bullet, I mean Mike Barnes.” Bobby smiled.
As the laughter died down, Y/n sighed and leaned against her car, looking at the group.
“You guys are having fun now but don’t forget...I still have to face Heather when she finds out about me and Johnny.”
The group immediately fell silent for a moment.
Tommy whistled low.
“Oh, yeah… Heather. That’s gonna be… interesting.”
Dutch smirked but didn’t hide the nervous look in his eyes.
“Heather’s like a volcano. Quiet until she explodes. Good luck with that one, Y/n.”
“Yeah, Heather’s not exactly the forgiving type. She’s probably gonna tear into both of you.” Bobby said.
Johnny rolled his eyes.
“Let her. She doesn’t scare me.” Then he smirked at Y/n.
“Well, she kinda scares me but don’t tell her I said that.”
Y/n couldn’t help but laugh, though she felt a little nervous.
“Great, thanks for the encouragement, guys. I feel so much better now.”
“Hey, maybe Heather won’t be that bad. Maybe she’ll just yell for a bit and then move on.” Daniel shrugged.
“You’re dreaming, Larusso. Heather holds grudges like no one else.” Dutch snorted.
Johnny grinned, nudging Y/n playfully.
“Don’t worry, Y/n. If she gives you trouble, I’ll handle it. Heather doesn’t scare me. Much.”
Y/n rolled her eyes but smiled.
“Thanks, Johnny. That’s super comforting.”
