While the cover itself is aesthetically very beautiful, in light of the story, it is a bit bland. The colour choice for the fonts is merging in with the white veil of the bride in the picture, making it very hard to read. It is usually advised that the font and the colour of the text should be easily readable for the r. In addition to this, I feel the cover could do with a few more elements to elevate it from a basic look to a classy and visually appealing look.
In addition to this, I would say that the blurb and the cover are having a major disconnect, which is why I would suggest adding other elements to the cover to enhance the interest, especially when the book is so complex and full of other mysterious elements. For now the cover gives off the vibe of a runaway bride.
Cover (6/10 points)
The title "Veils of Lie" aligns well with the overarching theme and narrative of the story. It evokes a sense of mystery, deception, and hidden truths—suggesting that not everything is as it seems, which likely reflects the story's core conflict or emotional undertone. The metaphorical use of "veils" implies layers of concealment, drawing readers into a world where lies are delicately masked, inviting them to uncover what's beneath. However, in terms of uniqueness, the title feels somewhat familiar and may not stand out significantly in a crowded literary landscape. Phrases involving "veil" and "lie" or similar combinations have been commonly used across genres, particularly in mystery, drama, and psychological thrillers. Because of this, while the title is thematically appropriate, it may lack the originality needed to make a strong first impression on potential readers or publishers.
That said, the title does succeed in intriguing readers without giving away too much of the plot. It raises questions—Whose lies are being hidden? What truths are veiled?—and these unanswered curiosities serve as a hook to draw in the audience. The Title itself suits the story very well, but,in the terms of uniqueness, this title is quite common.
Title (4/5 points)
The blurb is exceptionally well-crafted—truly chef's kiss. It strikes the perfect balance between intrigue and restraint, offering just enough information to hook the reader without revealing key plot details or spoilers. The genre is clearly conveyed through both the language and themes, setting the right expectations for the story.
The writing is engaging and polished, with a tone that feels authentic to the book's style. It draws the reader in immediately and leaves them wanting more. It's clear, compelling, and tonally aligned with the story's content and atmosphere.
Overall, the blurb accurately represents the book and serves as a strong invitation into the narrative. No revisions are necessary.
Blurb (09/10 points)
The plot is highly engaging, consistently maintaining the reader's interest through a well-crafted arc of suspense and thrill. Each chapter ends on a compelling note, skilfully building anticipation and encouraging the reader to continue. The twists and turns are not only frequent but thoughtfully executed, providing a constant sense of intrigue and momentum.
What truly elevates the narrative is how seamlessly these twists are interwoven into the story. Rather than feeling forced or disjointed, they emerge organically from the plot and character motivations. This integration adds depth and realism, allowing readers to fully appreciate the complexity of the characters and the layered dynamics at play. The story's structure effectively balances surprise with coherence, making for a compelling and immersive reading experience.
I feel that I have discussed the major points for the hook on the plot itself. And the points are self-explanatory: the book is extremely engaging and the hook is purrfect.

Hook (5/5 points)
The storyline is very immersive. It holds the reader's attention because each paragraph has crucial information to link the book. The description, pacing and fine for the book is perfect.
Dialogues are very well written. They are clear and concise and give the reader a glimpse of the various personalities and relationships between the characters, which add more depth to the stories.

Dialogues (10/10 points)
The characters are well written; each character has a realistic approach. I love the way that no character is portrayed to be unrealistically nice — all of them have a complex personality allowing them to seem more realistic and relatable. I personally feel that each character is growing and evolving with each scene and the decisions they are taking seem realistic and in line with the character's personality.
Characters & Character Development (14/15 points)
Though the book is well written and holds a memorable impression in the reader's mind, I personally find that maybe the distinguishing between the three languages could be better. For example, maybe the English dialogues could be bold and the Italian/Spanish dialogues be in Italian. This would help the English readers, like me, connect more with the book without their heads spinning with the constant back and forth between the languages. Other than that, I'm very excited to read how the story unfolds, because you have got me hooked.
