Colleen POV
I hear Josh leave for the night. I am so tired right now I barely smile at him. I miss being at home with him so much. The nurse brings in my dinner. "Colleen try and eat ok" she says as she raises my bed to eat. I start to eat and nothing tastes good so I put down my fork and jump on my phone. I scroll through Instagram and see a post of Josh and the kids. It is a beautiful picture. I 'like' it and comment on it and everyone goes crazy that I commented. I haven't tweeted in weeks or been on any social media. It makes me smile with all the fans comments and best wishes. My phone vibrates and I see its Josh. "Hi baby" I say. "Hey baby" he says upset. "Josh? " I ask. "I miss you here. I saw you liked our picture and it made me sad" he says. I start to cry. "Miss you too" I say. "I didn't mean to make you upset sweetheart" he says. "Its ok. We miss each other is all" I say. "Going to bed soon?" He asks. "Maybe. Not hungry and the food here is crappy" I say laughing. "Got to eat babe" he says. "Maybe later" I say. Just then the nurse walks in. "Got to go babe. Nurse is here" I say as we say our goodbyes and hang up. The nurse does her usual look over of me and goes to my machine and looks at the readout. "Colleen how are you feeling?" She asks. "Crappy. No appetite" I reply. "Your kidneys are barely working. Going to call your doctor" she says as she leaves. I instantly start freaking out. I call Josh. "Hey babe" he answers. "Josh come here please. I'm scared" I say crying. "Why? What's wrong?" He asks. "Nurse is calling my doctor in. Just come" I say. "On my way" he says. I hang up and put my phone down. My doctor walks in and looks at my machine and shakes his head. "Colleen, the good kidney is giving out. Its under too much stress. Full of toxin" he says. He starts pushing on my stomach. "Swollen to twice size it should be. Going to bring you into surgery and induce you into a semi coma to calm things down before we find a donor ok?" He asks. "Can we wait for Josh?" I ask crying. "We have a surgery room booked for 10 minutes from now. We have to go" he says. I call Josh. "Colleen .... Whats going on? Why are you crying?" He asks from his car. "I am going into surgery. They will tell you everything when you get here. I love you baby" I say sobbing. "Tell them to wait! I am almost there" he says crying himself. I hear my dad in the background. "Josh, let them take her. You will see her when she wakes up" my dad says to him. "Colleen, we love you. See you when you wake up" my dad says. His voice calms me. "Love you both" I say as I hang up. They start prepping me and roll me out of the room. I feel so alone.
