Coated with rust

Trapped within bars
Shattered to shards
Encased in waves of fright
Searching the seas
Desperately;
For the faintest trace of light.
Ever rebuked
By mute abuse
Ever tortured by guilt
Ever destined
To drown in sin
And weep over ink spilt.
Forced to throw up
Between hiccups
Letters and words and rhymes
Bludgeoned by fate
Smothered by hate
Behold the writer's mind.
