"So, (y/n), what did you want to talk about?" (best friend's name) asked, biting into her sandwich. (y/n) took a sip of her coffee, trying to think what to tell her friend about her boyfriend. They both sat at a cafe that wasn't Anteiku. She was afraid that her friend might attack Kaneki, threatening to hurt him while hurting him.
Her friend was super over-protective and wanted to make sure that (y/n) was kept happy. She still remembered the events that happened two days ago with the purple haired man and what he said about everyone. Which was the other reason why she didn't want to go over to Anteiku. She just wants to forget what he said.
"Well, you know how you said that I'll get a boyfriend if I don't try standing out?" she asked, rubbing the back of her neck. Her friend nodded, taking another bite of her sandwich. "Well, I have a boyfriend. He asked me out and I didn't need to stand out. He liked me and wanted to go out on a date and now we're dating. And we kissed, which was my first kiss, and I'm going over to his house on Saturday to watch a movie and cuddle with him."
There was a moment of silence. There was a dead look in her friend's eyes, her mouth hanging open. (y/n) slowly ate her cookie, cold neck running down her neck. She has no idea what she was thinking and she was nervous. Scratch that. Scared. Her friend only shook her head and smiled at (y/n).
"Good for you! I honestly thought that you were never going to get a boyfriend, but looks like you did! But, if he ever, EVER, hurts you, I wouldn't hesitate to hurt him," she growled, a dark aura glowing around her. (y/n) let out a nervous chuckle, relieved that her friend didn't go crazy and tried to hunt him down. "I would like to meet him sometime though."
"I will introduce you to him, but not now. Just until we're comfortable with introducing each other to our friends," she said, adding a little bit of more sugar to her coffee. She took a sip of it and sighed, setting it down. "I really do like him and would hope that you approve of him."
"Anything for you my friend!" she said, patting (y/n)'s shoulder. She only nodded, taking another bite of her cookie.
"Do you want a bite of my cookie?" she asked (best friend's name). She hesitated at first, and then nodded. She took her cookie and took a bite, handing it back to her.
"It delicious! No wonder you love cookies so much! Well, I'll be right back, I need to take a piss," she said, getting up and heading over to the bathroom. (y/n) nodded and pulled out her book and started to read it. She then heard her friend slid back into her seat.
"Wow, that was fast. Did you pee your pants or something?" she chuckled, looking up from her book. Her mouth hung open, her eyes wide. It was that purple haired man! "You again? What do you want this time?"
"Whoa, whoa, calm down Minou! I wanted to apologize for the other night. It wasn't very kind of me to be in your apartment without your consent first. That was terribly rude of me," he said, clutching onto his heart as if it was in pain. She deadpanned. He was very dramatic.
"Is that all? Because it looks like you have more on your mind than that," she spat, burying her nose into her book. She really didn't want to talk to him. "And my name isn't Minou!"
"Then what is it then?" he asked, putting his left leg over his right one and sat back, folding his hands. She only glared at him. "Heh, I guess I'll go first, since we haven't properly introduce each other yet. My name is Tsukiyama Shuu."
"Tsukiyama? Wait, aren't you some big company or something?" she questioned, putting her book down. His eyes beamed in success as he caught her full attention.
"My father owns his company, I'm only his son, but we are wealthy. And that doesn't change our attitude towards people of course, because people need to be treated with respect, right miss?"
"(y/n). (l/n) (y/n). And yes people do need to be treated with respect, but I wouldn't think that would apply to you after what happened two days ago."
"And I had all ready apologized for my behavior. I wasn't being a gentlemen at all to you Ms. (l/n). I should have treated you the way every lady needed to be treated," he said, unfolding his hands. He then took her right hand and gave it a kiss. She quickly took her hand back, a look of disgust of her face.
"Don't you do that ever again," she hissed, grabbing a napkin and wiping her hand. He chuckled nervously.
"You didn't need to wipe your hand. I'm not some filthy animal that would get your dirty," he said, feeling a little mad than hurt. He really didn't like her attitude.
"Well, if you only hadn't acted the way you did the other night, then I wouldn't be doing this. But since you had, then I have no other choice."
"You're acting as if I'm nothing but trash, which I'm not. And I wasn't in my right mind at that moment. I just got a little too excited," he said. He then leaned in closer. "The scent mixed between you and Kaneki is simply divine. So I wondered, what will it be like to enjoy one that smell like each other, or enjoy Kaneki that ate you."
"Stay away from him you sick bastard," she growled at him, digging her nails into her palms. (y/n) wasn't enjoying this conversation at all.
Tsukiyama only ignored her comment. "It would certainly be fun for me to dine in on, wouldn't it? Besides, I can't feast on you anyway, you don't have his scent mixed in with yours. So what's the fun in that?"
Before she could snap a rude comment at him, a sweet, but cold voice called out. "Excuse me sir, but I was sitting here. Can you kindly get out of the chair and find your own table to sit at?" Both Tsukiyama and (y/n) looked at the person. Her eyes beamed. It was (best friend's name). Tsukiyama's eyes widened in recognition, and then slowly, he smirked.
"I'm sorry ma'am, I didn't know. I thought this lovely lady was sitting here by herself and I couldn't just leave someone as beautiful as her to be alone," he said, looking at (y/n) in the corners of his eyes. She could tell he was just toying with them.
"Thank you, but really, leave her alone. She doesn't really look happy to see you at all," she sweetly said, tucking a few strands of her hair behind her ear. He nodded and got up, straightening his suit out.
"I hope to see you again, Ms. (l/n)," he said kindly, leaving the small cafe. She let out a groan, resting the back of her head on her chair. Her friend slid back into her chair, an annoyed look on her face. She wasn't happy at all to see Tsukiyama.
"Ugh, he needs to leave you alone. I could tell you didn't feel comfortable around him, so I decided to chase him off for you," (best friend's name) said, taking a sip of her black coffee. (y/n) only nodded, thinking of what he had said. He keeps on saying that Kaneki was a ghoul and that was really hard to believe. He was too sweet to be a ghoul and he wouldn't eat her. There was no way he could ever be a ghoul.
The thought of that being true made her want to laugh out loud, but she held it in. She didn't want her friend to question on why she was laughing. Then she remembered what he said about Anteiku. That all the people who work there are ghouls. That didn't seem likely. They're all too nice caring to everyone and each other. She was told that ghouls were nasty and cruel, but she kinda refused to believe that.
Tsukiyama was a huge NO for her. That's for sure. If all ghouls were bad, then they would be attacking everyone right in front of her, but that hasn't happened at all. She believed that some ghouls cared. Not all of them, but some. At her orphanage, CCG workers would come in and lecture them about what ghouls are. That they're monsters. Even when she was little, she never truly believed that.
They talked about that all ghouls need to be killed and that none of them deserved to live. That if anyone knows any whereabouts about a ghoul or knows that someone is a ghoul, then they need to report them immediately. (y/n) didn't like that. Ghouls deserve to be killed? No, that's not right. There could be nice ones out there. Some good ones that want to live. That want to live like people.
She could never turn in a ghoul. She would feel entirely guilty and would live with that guilt for the rest of her life. Like Tsukiyama, for example. Though he was a ghoul, and a jerk, she could never turn him in, no matter how much he deserves it. She doesn't want anyone to be killed, but no one is able to prevent death from happening. That is something that no one can prevent.
(best friend's name) was rambling on and on about something, but she couldn't really hear her. She sounded like a distant voice trying to call out to somebody for help. Help that (y/n) couldn't provide. She decided to head over to Anteiku after she was done hanging out with her friend. She needed to talk to Kaneki anyways, so going to Anteiku was really important for her.
After (best friend's name) and (y/n) were done hanging out, she headed over to the cafe, feeling a little nervous. The people there can't be ghouls. They couldn't be. If they were, then they would have to live their lives in hiding. The CCG is a very dangerous place for ghouls. She walked up the stairs and entered the cafe before closing time. Kaneki and Touka were cleaning the tables and setting the chairs up, making sure everything was nice and tidy. As soon as (y/n) walked in, a grey eye landed on her, beaming.
"(y/n)!" Kaneki cheered out, running over to her and embracing her into a hug, burying his face into her neck. She couldn't help but giggle.
"Hey Kaneki! Geez, you're so cuddly aren't you?" she asked, hugging him back. All he did was nod in response, nuzzling his face on her neck. She blushed and giggled again. Touka put a hand on her hip, clearing her throat.
"Shouldn't you two love birds get a room or something? I'm trying to clean here, not gag," Touka said, trying to fight back a smile from this sweet sight. Kaneki only waved a hand to her, to busy hugging (y/n). She only rolled her eyes and went back to cleaning.
"Awww, Kaneki, is this the girl you can't stop talking about," a woman asked, sweeping around the tables. He only nodded, still cuddling and hugging (y/n). She let out a chuckle. "Looks like he really likes you, huh?"
"Yep, it looks like he does," (y/n) warmly said, rubbing his fluffy head. "Oh! I'm (y/n). (l/n) (y/n)." She felt embarrassed for not introducing herself even though the woman all ready heard about her.
"I all ready know your name sweetie, but thanks for telling me. I'm Kaya Irimi. It's very nice to meet you sweetie," she said, sweeping around a table.
"It's very nice to meet you too," (y/n) said, burying her face into Kaneki's shoulder. He was taller than her, so he took the advantage to pick her up and spin her around. Her eyes widened at his action and then started to laugh, placing her hands on his shoulders. He laughed too, stopping and placing his lips on hers, giving her a sweet and passionate kiss. He was still holding her up so that she was a few inches above him.
"Looks like you two are having fun," a voice said. Kaneki pulled away to see who it was from and smiled.
"Hello sir! This is (y/n)! She's my girlfriend!" he squealed, spinning her around and hugging her tightly. She looked to see who it was and seen an old man standing a few feet from them, his hands behind his back and a smile on his face. His eyes were closed.
"Hi!" she said. She was wanting to say more, but then Kaneki attacked her with kisses and she couldn't help but laugh, blush dusting her face. She tried pushing him away, but he only brought her closer and giving her never ending kisses. Everyone in the cafe were laughing at how cute they were being. After he was done kissing her, he buried his face into her neck again, cuddling her.
"He's acting like he hasn't seen you in forever even though you two seen each other two days ago," Touka laughed, placing chairs on top of the tables.
"I know. I guess he really loves me," she chuckled, fluffing his hair up. He then placed a kiss on her neck and nuzzled his face into her shoulder.
"Yeah, you two need to get a room. I'm about to puke from all this cuteness," Touka fake gagged, clutching onto her stomach and making a pained expression even though she thought the sight of them together was adorable.
"Haha, all right, come on Kaneki, let's go get a room like Touka~chan said," she laughed, pulling away from the cuddly cutie. He pouted and went to go get changed into his regular clothes. She wanted to talk to him about Tsukiyama, since he knew about Kaneki. She wanted to see how much he knew about him. Plus, she wanted to ask about what movie they were going to watch at his place. After Kaneki was done, they both said goodbye and left, holding hands. "So, Kaneki, tell me, why are you so cute and cuddly all of a sudden?"
"Well, I just love you and think you're laugh and smile is cute. And whenever you blush, I find that cute as well. I just love everything about you and can't wait to cuddle with you on Saturday!" he said, pecking her on the cheek. She smiled.
"Which is tomorrow, right?"
"Oh yeah! It is!"
"Hahahahaha, you're such a happy jelly bean," she laughed, ruffling his hair. He blushed and rubbed the back of his neck, chuckling.
"What are we going to do?"
"Well, we're going to head over to my place. There are some things that we need to discuss. Very important things."
"Um, did I do something wrong?"
"No, you didn't. I just have some very important things to discuss with you, okay?"
"Okay."
