I began to explain what happened the night the boy threw me into the Maze. Well, pushed.
"I was by the doors and me and him were talking. He pushed me in seconds before it closed and I stayed there the night until Minho found me."
I looked at Minho for support but all he did was look away from my gaze and shrug at Alby.
"I can only be an alibi for finding her. She did look half dead when I spotted her." Minho said, motioning to the cuts on my face and the taped up gash on my arm.
"(Y/n), as much as I trust you, your story seems all over. Although, no one had seen Gray the time during your sudden trip into the Maze. I don't know how to settle this." He put a hand to his face and heaved sighed.
I stared at Newt, pleading for him to say something to Alby. If someone was gonna believe me it might as well be him. He looked between me and Alby before he stood.
"I think, since we have no bloody clue on how the story plays out, we lock em both up in the pit. That'll do them good. Just keep them locked in their til one of them confesses they lied." Newt said loudly.
Minho nodded. "Sounds good to me." Minho looked to Alby, hoping he'll agree.
"Yeah sure. Newt, take them and put them in the pit together. If they can't work things out they'll fight em out." Alby said as he got up and started walking away.
I looked around the room and locked eyes with Cole. He shrugged and gave me a smile that slightly settled my nerves. As Newt came up to me, I noticed Gray glaring at me from behind Newt's back. I lowered my head as I stood up, sulking behind Newt as he walked ahead with Gray.
"How long do we have to stay in there for?" Gray asked, an annoyed tone in his voice.
"Until one of you shucks admits you lied. We didn't even hear your side of the story yet Gray, so we'll take you out in the afternoon to tomorrow." Newt responded, crossing his arms.
I lowered my head down again. They weren't going to believe me. My story was all over the place.
