Its nighttime, and I'm sitting up in my bed, in my room. I'm currently on my phone. I hear a tap on my window. I look up from my screen.
I look at my window, and stare at who's on the other side. Its Spider-Man.
I hop out of bed, and walk to the windowsill. I pull open the pane. "What are you doing here?"
Peter's upside-down, and peers in. "I'm sorry. I didn't know that you were sleeping."
"How long were you going to stay there, and not get my attention?" I try hard not to be awkward with this whole situation. My face starts to heat up.
"I just got here, I wasn't watching for long," Spidey answers, clearly embarrassed. "Or watching at all."
I shift from foot to foot. "Need help crime fighting? I'll go get my stuff... I mean, my suit."
"No, its okay. I wanted to talk to you about the Spider-Man fan club. That's all."
"Oh...Okay." I step away from the window. "You can come in, if you want."
Peter climbs in from the window, and scales my ceiling. He takes off his mask, and drops down, making a thud on the floor.
My Mom calls from the other room, "Fiona? What was that? You should be in bed."
"I just tripped, Mom. No big deal. I just went to get a drink of water." I turn to Peter, "we just have to be really quiet," I whisper.
"Maybe I should go. Its late, and you need your sleep."
"It is entirely up to you. You can leave if you want."
We stare at each other for a long time.
"I'm...I'm going to go. But I promise you, we'll talk about this some other time. I just want don't you to feel like you're not wanted."
"...Thanks, Peter." I smile gently. "You're a good friend." Though I wish he were more that just a friend. I force that thought away. "Be careful."
Peter pulls his mask back on, "don't worry, I'm always careful." Then he climbs back out the window.
I close the windowpane shut. I turn around to my bed, and smile.

My parents decided to take a family trip to the Statue of Liberty. My little brother is excited, because he's never been there before. I brought my satchel bag, with my Intensity suit inside. Because you never know when I might need it.
I look down at the rolling waves, beneath the Staten Island Ferry. Its so peaceful, even though you're surrounded by about five hundred people. I feel a hand touch my shoulder. I turn and look at my Dad. "What is it?"
"Isn't this great?" My dad asks. "I haven't been on the Staten Island Ferry since I was little."
I don't say anything. The wind blows in my face. "I was having a moment."
My dad removes his hand from my shoulder, and pats me on the head. "Whatever you say, Fiona Rose."
"I hate my middle name," I grumble.
"You're Mom wanted to call you Fiona Lilly."
"Where is Mom and Ethan anyway?"
"They wanted to see the Statue of Liberty from the other side."
I lean over the railing a little bit, and peer at the statue behind us.
Then I see a flash of bright purple moving just above the water. My eyes widen. Its a plasma bolt, like what Vulture's weapon has.
My voice remains calm. "I gotta use the bathroom," I lie. I need to get my suit out.
"They're right over there. I'll wait 'til you get out."
"Uh, okay." I glance at the plasma bolt. I stiffen. Its heading right towards us.
I clutch my satchel, and scramble to change into my suit.
That's when the bolt hits, with an earthshattering quake. I tumble onto the floor. I hear people screaming, as the boat makes a cracking noise.
Purple light spews out the front of the ferry. Then the water flies over the edges, sloshing over everyone's shoes. I attempt to climb to my feet, as people try to get away from the splitting half of the boat. I feel like I'm living out Titanic. Except there's no Jack, or iceberg. But there is a sinking ship.
I hear a high pitched shriek. I look and see a little girl very close to the breaking floor. I spring to my feet, and grab the small child. I pull her out of the way of danger, and push her to safety.
At the same time, the floor beneath me disappears.
"I can't fly," I mutter, as I begin to drop. "They'll see me, and know who I am. The world isn't ready for that, and neither am I." I can't reveal my identity.
The creaking of metal fills my ears, as I fall to the foaming river below.
Suddenly, a hand grabs my arm. I hold on, and cling to the person whom caught me.
"Its okay, I got you," the person assures me.
I soon realize the one who saved me is Spidey.
"P-Peter, its me. Its Fiona," I whisper. I don't know if I should feel embarrassed or not; with my arms wrapped around him.
Spider-Man looks at me, "don't let go, Fiona."
"This is not Titanic, Peter. I'm not going to drown." I take one hand and open my satchel.
There are people watching. "I think I'm going to sit this one out. I don't want people to see me put on my mask," I'm dangerously close to his face.
"But who's going to help me save these people?" Peter asks, tightening his grip on me.
"If I see that you need help, I'll change into my suit, but..." I look him right in the face. "You can do this, Peter Parker. I know you can."
Peter wings onto one of the halves of the ferry.
He lands, and is still holding onto me. I loosen my grasp on him.
"You can let go of me now," I murmur, removing my hands from his shoulders.
"Sorry," Peter lets go of me.
I smile, "now go be a hero, Spidey."
The ferry groans as more water splashes up onto the deck. People screech, as the other half sinks even more.
Spider-Man slings a web out and snags the edge of a beam. He pulls on the webbing, and tries to yank the half into place. Then he shoots out another line of webs. The other half of the ferry slips further under the surface. Then the half that we're on begins to tilt to the side and starts to go under.
Spidey leaps out into the space between the two halves; and strings webbing onto the half I'm standing on.
Then he gets to a point where his webbing is the only thing holding the boat together. The ship creaks, and it makes a loud honking sound. Its like the Titanic when it sunk. Except, they didn't have Spider-Man holding it in one piece.
I can hear fire crackling along the sides, where it got hit by the plasma.
I watch Peter struggle to keep the ferry from breaking back in two. I remember how much I hate being a bystander.
I move my hand to my open satchel. I peek inside it. My suit is folded, safely inside. I slowly take out my mask. I'm just about convinced that I might need to help him.
I pause. Peter slowly begins to bring the ferry back together. The creaking stops, and not a single sounds comes from anyone or anything. I slip my mask back into my bag. "He did it."
People cheer. I grin. Spider-Man saved us all.
🕷🕷🕷
Its about ten o'clock at night, and I land the roof of a skyscraper. I straighten up, and I walk up to the figure standing there.
"You did good today," I smile.
Peter turns to look at me, his mask is off.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
"I was just thinking," he says. "What about you? How are you doing after that fall you took?"
"Well, thanks to you, I'm not dead."
"Which is good. Because the Avengers still need you, and I need you to help me with the crime rate here."
"You also need me for the science project, don't forget."
Peter smiles. "Yeah, I would not do well without you on that one."
"How's training going?"
"Mr. Stark thinks I'm not ready to be an Avenger, and I've still got to keep my eyes peeled for Vulture."
"Tony can be a jerk sometimes. Don't get me wrong, he is one of my friends. As for Vulture, I can help you." I take a few steps closer to Peter.
"Glad to here you're with me, instead of against me," he also takes a step towards me.
"That was then, this is now."
A car alarm goes off. "That doesn't sound good," I walk over to the edge of the building's roof.
Peter follows me, and looks down. "Oh no..."
"Is that..?"
"Yep. That's Shocker."
I pull on my mask, and jump off. Peter lands first, and leaves a mark in the street.
I fall in right behind him.
The guy whom he said was Shocker looks at us.
"Well, well, look who's come to get their ass beat." Shocker takes out his weapon. Its has electricity coming out of it.
"You're the one who's going to get their ass kicked," Spider-Man says.
"Really?" Then the villain charges up his weapon and fires.
Author's Note:
Sooo, I might've lied about this part being all about Shocker. Also, I included a part from Spider-Man Homecoming. Despite the fact that the movie has not come out yet. This is the first part of this story that is in 2017. Obviously.
ANYWAY, there is a Shocker fight-scene in the next part. Sorry, this isn't quite the love story you guys were probably hoping for. But writing Action themed stories is just what I do. However, I was kind of going for a Titanic vibe, (even though I have never actually seen the movie). Sorry guys. However, set aside from all the craziness I've said, I do pretty well writing about superheroes. Yes? No? Okay.
Well, I think that just about covers things. Enjoy the new year. New stuff is coming out, so be sure to give this a vote, and the next part will be out shortly.
