I tried, you know. I really tried. I tried my best to forget him. But the more I tried to forget, the more he made me remember. It was the summer of 2012 when I first laid eyes on him. He was sitting on a swing, rocking himself gently as the breeze blew and made his hair tousled. Beside him was a soccer ball. We made eye contact for the first time and I had to tear my eyes away from the beautiful creature standing ten feet away from me. His friend introduced us to each other and that's where our story began. From ten, to five, to two feet. That's how our story progressed. It didn't last long until the story had to end. As fast as the speed of light, he left. I couldn't see the beautiful creature who can stand two feet away from me anymore. I cannot lessen the space between us anymore. I cannot hear his voice that rumbled like thunder and caused chaos to the blood rushing in my veins. From two feet, to five to ten to a hundred miles away from each other. That's how tragic our story ended. Just like the sun sets, my heart had welcomed the darkness. Just like the wolf, my heart howled for the boy I can never see or hear again. Just like a bird trapped in a cage, my heart craved for freedom; freedom from distance, from time, from everything. For months, my heart hid in the dark; not even the stars and moon are enough to light the darkness around me. Until one day, my heart rose from the ground and decided to take courage. Courage was my best friend until 'that day'. 'That day' was the day courage left my heart. 'That day' was when the beautiful creature came back and there he was standing ten feet away from me. He will never know how my heart shouted his name every day and every night. He will never know how his eyes haunted me every time I go to sleep. He will never know how his voice was the only thing I can hear in the midst of silence. And there he was, standing ten feet, five, two. Our eyes met and my heart skipped a beat.

Hello! So, I wrote this during my Oral Communication subject. Someone was reporting and I got bored so I decided to write this. Rude, I know. It's just that I can't really focus on the reporter since all I can think of was my crush lolololol.

Until the next sleepless night!
