I'm not gonna lie, I was shitting myself about going to Summer in the City. Not just because well... it was SUMMER IN THE CITY, but because it was the first year I was going as a YouTuber myself. I'd been making videos for about two years now, under the name MischiefManaged (Yes, I'm a huge Potterhead). I couldn't go to SitC last year because I was away, but this year my subscribers (of which I had 150,000, give or take a few) had begged and begged me... So, here I was. I'd managed to navigate myself from the train and tube stations and was currently standing in front of Alexandra Palace. I took a deep breath and went inside, getting my various passes and such I would need. I wasn't recognized as I walked around, but I wasn't expected to be. I'd only been recognized once in the street before, and, well, that was amazing. "(Y/N)!" I heard, and turned around to see a couple of girls, one of which was wearing an AmazingPhil shirt and the other a Smosh one. I smiled at them.
"Hey! How're you?" I grinned. We exchanged conversation and got pictures for a while, before I was spotted and called over to somebody else. I didn't expect to be this popular, but here I was! Suddenly, a shout came from behind me and I turned to see LukeIsNotSexy and Emma Blackery.
"Hey, you're (Y/N), right?" Emma asked. I nodded.
"Yeah, that's me. Hi, I really like both of your videos." I said to both of them.
"Hey, we like yours too! Jason and Patty are over here somewhere, you wanna meet them?" Luke asked and I frantically nodded, hopefully without seeming too eager. We went over and I spent the majority of the day with them. We all got called over occasionally to speak to fans and sign stuff, but I could safely say I'd made a few new friends and been promised some awesome collabs!
I had been worrying over nothing, it seemed, till about 8 o'clock. "Hey, Emma!" The majority of our little group turned around to see Dan and Phil. AmazingPhil and danisnotonfire were standing a mere two meters away from me. I had to hold in the fangirling as Dan talked animatedly to Emma and Phil grinned at us, striking up a conversation with BriBry.
"Hang on, aren't you (Y/N)? As in MischiefManaged?" I looked as Phil turned to me. Phil Lester was talking directly to me. He knew who I was.I nodded.
"Hi, Phil." I managed to squeak out.
"I liked your YouTuber impressions video. I think you got me and Dan really well!" He laughed. I mentally cringed at the thought of him seeing my awful northern accent impression and laughed with him.
"Yeah, that video was a lot of fun to make. I was particularly proud of my Charlie one." I replied. We talked for a bit more, without me imploding fortunately, until we were interrupted by Dan.
"Hey, we're gonna go to the bar down the street, you guys coming?" He asked. I realized then that it was 9 pm! We'd been talking for an hour! What... Well, time flies when you're having fun. Phil nodded, standing up from the bench, and I followed suit. I wasn't much of a drinker, but there was no way in hell I was giving up the opportunity to spend more time with them! So, off we went.
Okay, so when I said I wasn't much of a drinker, I meant that I don't tend to drink too often as I can easily get carried away... like tonight. One drink had turned into a few, which turned into shots, and now I was tipsy and dancing with Chris Kendall, who wasn't entirely sober himself. The song, which I think was a remixed version of Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball, ended and I giggled.
"I'm gunna go get more alcohol!" I hiccuped at Chris, who nodded.
"Okay, drink sounds good! I'm gonna go toilet!" He shouted over the new song, which I didn't recognize. I nodded and made my way through the grinding, bumping, sweaty crowd back to the bar, where I found Phil and either Jack or Finn Harries. I wasn't too familiar with their videos and, well, I was slightly drunk. I ordered myself some more vodka and coke.
"Hey, (Y/N), where'd you get off too?" Phil asked, slurring slightly due to his own alcohol consumption. Another reason I don't tend to drink that much alcohol is because it washes away all my timidness and makes me more outgoing.You'd think that would be a good thing, but not being scared to reveal your thoughts to one of your favourite YouTubers can have its downside, trust me.
"I was dancing with Chris, think he said he was going to the loo. Haha." I replied. Both of us then proceeded to start hysterically laughing about the word 'loo'. My drink came, and the next one, and the next. Before I knew it, I'd had six more drinks and was still talking, well, more like slurring, to Phil.
"(Y/N), I have a secret to tell you!" Phil giggled, which made me giggle too.
"I wanna know! Tell meee! Pleassse tell me Phillyy!" I whined like kid, still laughing.
"Well... I think you're veryyy preeeeetty!" He continued, poking his tongue at the end. I grinned.
"I think you're preettyy tooooooo!" I exclaimed. He was pretty! His black hair was shining in the bar lights and his blue eyes were all sparkly and glittery and he was just a very good-looking person!
"Well, preetty people kisssss, right?" He giggled.
"Yeaaah, it's alwaaaaays on my tumblrrrr dashboard!"
"Wellllll, maaaaaybe we should!"
"Should kiss?" I frowned. Did he mean it? I mean, I wanted to kiss, but did he want to kiss?
"Yeah!"
"Okaaaaaay!" I beamed, and then we were kissing. I all I remember was that it was very wet and clumsy, and that it was getting more and more heated. Before I knew it, I was being dragged out of the bar and into a taxi, and we were still making out in the back as it drove to our destination, which at the time I had no clue of, which was probably a bit dangerous. But it was Phil! I could trust him, he wouldn't hurt a fly! But yes, we were kissing and driving and that's all I can really recall if I'm honest. Uh... Oops?
When I woke up the next morning, light was shining through unfamiliar curtains, blinding me. I yawned and rolled over to see Phil, still sleeping. Oh shit. So, I woke up in an unfamiliar bed with a guy I met last night. You can now take a moment to judge me. I bit my lip and lifted to duvet, almost crying with relief when I saw we were both still fully clothed. I rolled out of the bed, trying not to wake Phil, and walked over to the mirror. Whilst trying to sort out my nest of hair, I noticed a bruise on my neck. Frowning, I pulled down my Adventure Time tee to see I had them all around my neck... Hickeys. There were also a few teeth prints, and my shirt smelt of men's aftershave. Um...
"How much did we do last night?!" Phil's voice alarmed me, making me jump. I looked around to see he was looking at me guiltily while examining his lipstick stained shirt.
"I... Uhh... We woke up fully clothed... Maybe we just made out and then fell asleep..." I stammered, now really quite embarrassed. What a great first impression, (Y/N).
"Yeah... Where are we?" He frowned, and I sighed.
"Beats me." I replied, looking around what I guessed was a hotel room, grinning when I spotted a labeled notepad. "The... Royal Bird Hotel." I recited.
"Oh, that's not too far from my place.. Umm. Where are you staying?" He asked. I gave him the name of my hotel.
"That's on the other side of the city... D'ya wanna come back to mine for a bit to y'know... freshen up?" He asked almost nervously.
"I have no clothes or anything though." I pointed out. "And I don't wanna intrude..."
"It's fine! I'm sure me or Dan have something for you to wear! Plus, I'm betting you're hungry, eh?" Phil said, standing up. Wow, this was a lot less awkward than it could've been.
"Fine... If you don't mind." I smiled sheepishly.
"Yay! Okay, let's go." We gathered our stuff up and checked out, which was a tad embarrassing, before calling a taxi. We got to Phil's apartment in comfortable silence, and got inside. Dan wasn't home, Phil said he was probably at Chris' or PJ's. Phil lent me some shorts of his, which looked like cropped jeans on me, and one of his signature plaid shirts, before showing me how the shower and stuff worked. I giggled as I saw the raspberry kiss shower gel he hadn't bothered to change since Tesco mixed his Lynx up. An hour later, after Phil let me use their hairdryer and made us toast, we sat on the couch watching Friends reruns, just chatting and talking. "(Y/N)." He spoke after a short silence, a tad more serious than he had been.
"Yeah, Phil?"
"I uhh... I know this morning wasn't really what either of us expected... But... Uhh... I really like you... And I was wondering if maybe... You'd...Umm... Like to go out... On a date some time... With me?" He stumbled over his words until he got the sentence out, and I grinned.
"Seriously?!"
"Yeah... It's fine if you don't want to, I know it was a long shot anywa-" I cut him off by putting my finger over his lips and kissing his cheek, both of us blushing.
"I'd love too." I smiled, making him beam back. Just then, we heard a slam and Dan walked into the room, a surprised expression on his face when he saw us.
"What'd I miss?!"
