After the encounter with L last night, I headed to bed. Which surprisingly I actually got sleep.
So I woke up.
In my regular bed.
In my regular room.
In my insane life.
Kira.
That's one subject that makes it especially insane.
I got dressed in my usual attire, and walked downstairs passed Miss's room, towards the main room where L is usually sat. Perched on this office chair, eyes glued to the screen;
Working.
That's all he does.
Work. Work. Work.
Think. Think. Think.
I sometimes wonder how that magical brain of his does it.
But today was different.
The atmosphere was entirely different.
Silent.
No workers.
No dumb ass Matsuda.
No Kir- Light.
Only me and L.
And he sat, like usual hunched over. Pondering. And here I stood, staring at the room I spend hours upon hours of my days here. How is everything so different?
Maybe if I didn't live here, I would have thought this was...the entirely wrong room.
*sigh*
That one sigh brought L's attention towards me. As I stood at the door, peering in like an idiot.
"[f/n]?"
"Yes, L?" I asked, stood still.
"Why are you stood there?"
I walked towards him, "Where is everyone?" I asked.
"I gave them a day off." He responded.
"And Light?" I pondered.
"We have come to the conclusion of not being handcuffed anymore."
Seriously. L! What are you thinking?!
I walked towards his chair, where unlike usual his blackening orbs weren't glued to the screen, or paper...but to me.
"Why did you give everyone a day off?"
His blank facial expression stayed the same, but those usual emotionless eyes of his, were not dark but filled with Light - Contrasting with the heavy bags laid underneath.
"..."
Nothing.
"L? Did you hear me?"
"[f/n]?"
"Yes."
"I have noticed you and Light have gotten close, as of late...I thought you believed he was Kira."
"I do...but you know the saying - keep your friend's close but your enemies closer - A few days ago that was living proof of that. Handcuffs and all."
L chuckled...Well that's a first.
"L? Why does it bother you that Light and I are getting closer...besides even if we are, Misa would personally decapitate me, though i would be surprised if she had the intelligence to pull it off.
"..."
No answer.
"L, I would appreciate if you could answer my qu-" I was cut off by L standing up off the chair and pushing me against the wall, holding my wrist. Preventing me from escape.
"It infuriates me, [f/n]. You seem to know that fact very well. I am 99.9% sure, no 100% sure you know that."
"Yes I know that L. But I would like to know why." I paused. "Why does it anger you?"
"I'm jealous." He muttered.
"What?"
"I am jealous." As he finished that sentence, he smashed lips into mine. Interlocking them. At first I was in shock, my eyes wide open, to see his closed. So I deepened the kiss, pulling him closer, wrapping my arms around his neck, running my hands through his thick black hair.
As we both parted for air. Hr brought his hand up to my cheek, caressing it.
"[f/n], would you like to be my girlfriend?"
