"Please, Yellow. Allow me to talk to the human, I may be able to get through to them," A large woman spoke to Yellow Diamond
"Blue, no. If we allow another Diamond to talk with this human, it will go straight to their ego. We would be giving that insignificant human far too much power," Yellow Diamond responded
"They don't deserve such a fate, Yellow," Blue Diamond pleaded, "You must show mercy,"
"If I show mercy to a human, my power will be called into question. We cannot afford that," Yellow Diamond shot back, "I will give them a chance to accept the deal when they arrive on Homeworld, but if they deny it again. Homeworld is where they shall live out their short, miserable organic life.

"Hmm?" Y/n stirred in their cells as they heard a loud bang. Y/n looked at their makeshift cell, since they had broken the last human cell they had, Jasper had Peridot assemble one made of spare metal rods.
"Great! This is just perfect!" An unfamiliar feminine voice shouted. Y/n pressed their face against the bars and tried to force them open, but to no luck. Suddenly, singing filled the halls, Y/n tried to look around and fine the source, "Let me out of here! Please! I need to find Sapphire!"
"Uh... Hello?" Y/n called out
"Y/n!" The two voices shouted back, one Y/n recognized as Steven.
"Down here! Near the big window!" Y/n said as they looked around as saw a large panel of glass showing the Earth, "Jeez, we're not on Earth anymore,"
"Wait for me!" Steven called as foot steps panned around the hall, soon two short figures appeared in front of Y/n's makeshift cell
"Y/n! Ugh, we gotta make this quick! I gotta find Sapphire!" The small red girl said. Her hair was square like Garnet's and she had a band tied around it
"How can we get Y/n out?" Steven asked
"This!" The girl grabbed onto the bars and concentrated as hard as she could, soon the bars turned a fiery orange, as if they were about to melt
"I got it from here," Y/n said as she motioned for the two to move out of the way. Y/n then stood in position and kicked at the bar, causing two of them to fall over, allowing Y/n just enough room to escape, "Thanks!" Y/n bent over and grabbed one of the bars as a weapon, "So, we're looking for a Sapphire?"
"We've got no time! Come on!" The red girl said as she ran down the hall
"Who is she?" Y/n asked Steven as they trailed behind
"No clue... But are you okay?!" Steven asked
"I'm fine, what about you? Look at your poor eye!" Y/n fretted
"I'm fine," Steven assured as the two of them caught up with the red girl, "How many more Gems are trapped here?"
"Don't know. Don't care," The red girl said as she tried following the sound of singing, but the singing had stopped suddenly, "She stopped singing... Sapphire!" The red girl continued running down the hall way, where they reached a cell with a Gem inside, "Oh!" The red girl gasped, then her excitement melted once she realized it was Lapis Lazuli, "It's just you..."
"Lapis!" Steven called out, Lapis Lazuli turned around to face him, "Lapis, I can get you out,"
"Stop!" Lapis Lazuli yelled as she moved back
"It's okay. I can-" Steven began to plead
"No! I don't want your help. Things are bad enough as it is. I've already made too much trouble. Once we get back to Homeworld, they're going to decide what to do with us," Lapis told
"I don't have time for this!" The red girl said as she ran down the hall
"Wait!" Steven called out to the red Gem as she ran away
"Steven, whatever you're doing just stop. If we do everything they say they might go easy on us," Lapis Lazuli reasoned, "Y/n, please tell me you agree with me,"
"But they're... mean! They hurt my friends, they hurt my face! They've got you here in prison!" Steven shot back
"That's why we can't fight them," Lapis Lazuli said
"That's why we have to fight them," Steven frowned. Lapis Lazuli turned away from Steven and Y/n
"Go find the Sapphire the girl was talking about," Y/n told Steven, "I'll stay here,"
"I'll come back for you guys," Steven nodded as he ran down the hall
"Please, Y/n. Don't fight them," Lapis Lazuli pleaded, her back turned to Y/n
"I'm not doing anything right now," Y/n said, "I'm here with you right now, that's it,"
"What did Yellow Diamond say to you?" Lapis Lazuli asked
"She offered me a deal," Y/n said, "I testify against the Gems, and all my crimes are waived and I get to go back to Earth,"
"You took it, right?" Lapis Lazuli looked up to Y/n
"If I took it I wouldn't be able to see you or the Crystal Gems ever again," Y/n told, "I told her no,"
"You told Yellow Diamond no?" Lapis Lazuli looked frightened
"That and a few other things," Y/n sighed, "I know it's pretty small in there... but do you mind if I come in?"
"There's the barrier," Lapis Lazuli pointed out
"I have a feeling there's a reason they put me behind metal bars," Y/n said as they stuck their hand through the yellow field
"Oh..." Lapis Lazuli sighed as she made space for Y/n
"Thank you," Y/n said as they stepped in and sat down right next to Lapis Lazuli
"Why?..." Lapis Lazuli questioned
"Why what?" Y/n asked
"Why do you have to be a human?" Lapis Lazuli finished, "I... Humans don't live long from what I heard... I really... I don't want you to go. And you're just letting your already short life get shorter by defying Yellow Diamond,"
"I never had a good sense for self-preservation," Y/n told, "But, we've got an entire space trip for you to teach it to me,"
"Maybe you could teach me how to be selfless..." Lapis Lazuli sighed
"I'd be glad to if you wanted me to," Y/n said
"Stop singing!" Jasper yelled from down the hall
"She's kinda scary, huh?" Y/n chuckled
"She's terrifying," Lapis Lazuli quivered, "I heard the way you talked to her and... How do you do it?"
"I've got no clue," Y/n laughed, "I just treat Gems the way I treat humans. If they're rude to me, I'm rude back,"
"How did you even become involved with Gems?" Lapis Lazuli asked, "Have you made it home yet?"
"How did I get involved with Gems?... I just kind of existed and it happened," Y/n said, "I got lucky... and for have I made it home yet... Yes and no, I didn't get back to my original home yet, but I think I've made a new one,"
"Where is she!?" Jasper yelled from somewhere in the ship
"She's found out your friends have escaped..." Lapis Lazuli sighed, "You should go back to your cell, before she finds you,"
"I kind of broke it," Y/n laughed as they waved the metal bar, "But I'm here with you right now... I'm still in a cell,"
"Where's Y/n?" Pearl's voice rang out through the halls
"They're looking for you too," Lapis Lazuli said
"They can work without me," Y/n told, "I'm here with you and that's all the matters,"
"Why are you being so nice to me? I gave up information on you! I betrayed you!" Lapis Lazuli teared up
"I forgive you for it," Y/n said
"Y-you do?" Lapis Lazuli asked, "Why?"
"I can tell you regret it," Y/n told, "You were in a tough situation and you did what you had to do,"
"B-but I was selfish! I was only looking out for myself," Lapis Lazuli said, "You were given the same choice and you didn't take it! You're... You're better than me!"
"Shut up," Y/n turned to Lapis Lazuli and grabbed her arms, "Shut up, I am not better than you. No one is better than you, just as no one is better than me. We all have something that makes us great, just because you made one mistake, doesn't mean it defines you,"
"...Thank you," Lapis Lazuli made eye contact with Y/n, "Thank you,"
"Thank you for letting me help you," Y/n smiled as they embraced Lapis Lazuli tightly.
"Y/n... You're shaking," Lapis Lazuli noticed as she held onto Y/n
"Lapis, I'm so scared," Y/n admitted, "God, I tried to pretend I wasn't for you... But I can't keep it up. Lapis.... I'm terrified,"
"It's okay!" Lapis Lazuli assured, "You're gonna be fine. We're gonna be fine. Do humans shake when they're scared?" Lapis Lazuli asked
"Yes," Y/n said as they clinged to Lapis Lazuli
"Please don't worry," Lapis Lazuli pleaded as the ship began to shake and plummet, "We're going to be fine,"
"The ship is going down," Y/n chocked up, "Lapis, I'm going to die here,"
"No, you're not," Lapis Lazuli's voice cracked, "You're not! You're going to be okay! I'll protect you!"
"Tell the Gems I love them," Y/n said, "Lapis, we've only talked for so long, but I love you too,"
"Love..." Lapis Lazuli sighed, "I love you as well, Y/n, but you'll be able to tell your friends that you love them soon, don't worry,"
"Humans are fragile, we can't survive and straight shoot to Earth," Y/n told
"You're more than just a human... You're Y/n," Lapis Lazuli told as the ship crashed into land and exploded

"Nice one," Garnet smiled to Steven as Lion blasted the rubble away, revealing him and the Gems in a pink bubble
"Oh my gosh! I can't believe you're a fusion all the time!" Steven cheered
"You met Ruby and Sapphire?!" Amethyst asked
"Oh no! We were going to introduce you. Garnet, your plan!" Pearl gasped
"We were waiting for your birthday," Garnet explained
"We can still do it! I'll just pretend I didn't know!" Steven smiled, but his smile soon faded as a thought hit his mind, "Where's Y/n?"
"Oh no..." Pearl gaped, "Y/n! Y/n where are you?!"
"I swear, if you're dead I'm never gonna forgive you!" Amethyst called out as she began to search through rubble, "Come on, man!"
"Ugh!" A firm voice groaned as she emerged from the burning rubble of the shop, "Don't think you've won. You only beat me 'cause you're a fusion! If I had someone to fuse with I'd-" Jasper began, but was interrupt by rubble shifting, "Huh?"
"Y/n, Y/n wake up... Y/n, we're here. Y/n!" Lapis Lazuli emerged from the wreckage with Y/n in her arms, their face was smeared with blood and their head laid back, unresponsive.
"Come here, brat! Aw, don't fly off so soon," Jasper grabbed Lapis Lazuli roughly, causing her to drop Y/n
"Lapis! Y/n!" Steven called out and began to run, but Pearl and Amethyst stopped him
"Lapis, listen, fuse with me!" Jasper pleaded
"What?!" Lapis Lazuli asked in shock
"How long did they keep you trapped here on this miserable hunk of rock?" Jasper asked, "These Gems, they're traitors to their Homeworld. They kept you prisoner. They used you. This is your chance to take revenge! Come on, just say yes,"
"Lapis, don't do it!" Steven pleaded. Lapis sighed as she offered her hand to Jasper. Jasper smiled and took her hand, "No!" Jasper and Lapis Lazuli dance and then turned into an amorphous white blob of energy. A fusion then turned into a blue and green monster that began to chuckle.
The fusion raised their hand, summoning an arm made of water from the ocean. Suddenly, the arm grabbed their arm and became a shackle, "Huh?" Another arm emerged from the ocean and took the fusion's other arm, also becoming a shackle, "What?" Suddenly, water chains appeared and wrapped around the fusion's torso and neck, "Ugh!"
"What are you doing?!" Jasper's voice rang from the fusion
"I'm done being everyone's prisoner. Now you're my prisoner!" Lapis's voice spoke, two more water arms grabbed the fusions back legs, "And I'm never letting you go! You hurt Y/n! I won't let you hurt anyone anymore!" The arms pull the fusion into the water until only their face is visible. The fusion's face briefly split into Lapis's and Jasper's.
"Lapis!" Steven called out
"Let's stay on this miserable planet... together!" Lapis's voice said as the fusion fully disappeared into the water
"Wait! Y/n!" Steven jumped as he ran over to Y/n's body and put his ear to their chest. He sighed in relief as he heard a feint, but steady heart beat. Y/n's chest rose up and down as they breathed in the air, "They're okay!"
"Oh thank the stars!" Pearl sighed
"Get them inside," Garnet instructed, "Make them comfortable for when they wake up,"
"Uh..." Steven frowned as his phone rang, "Hello?"
"Steven, I got your message. Are you okay? What's going on?" Connie asked, but Steven didn't respond, "Steven?"

"Lapis!" Y/n called out as they shot awake, a heavy, wet item suddenly fell to their lap. Y/n scanned the area to see they were in the temple, lying on Steven's bed
"Y/n! Lay back down!" Pearl instructed as she ran to them and grabbed the wet rag that laid on Y/n's lap and reapplied it to their forehead
"Where is Lapis?" Y/n asked, breathily as they tried to get out of bed
"Dude, dude, dude," Amethyst came up the stairs, "Lay down, you just shot down from space,"
"Is Lapis okay?" Y/n asked again
"...We don't know," Pearl told, "She fused with Jasper... then trapped both of themselves at the bottom of the ocean,"
"...How am I still alive?" Y/n asked
"We assume your skin held it's own against the fire," Pearl said, "As you know... You have thick skin... and your bones, they seem to be strong as well... You're arm and ribs were broken, but Steven healed you,"
"Thank you..." Y/n sighed as they laid back down, "That could have gone better..."
"It could've gone much worse," Garnet added
"I'm gonna miss this," Y/n sighed, "Three months, huh?"
"Y/n... We don't have to think about that now," Pearl said
"I love you, guys," Y/n turned to the Gems around the bed, "I love you so much,"
"Aw, you care about us?" Amethyst joked
"Yes," Y/n laughed a bit, then began to cough, "I do,"
"We love you too, Y/n," Garnet smiled
"I uh... I met... Ruby was her name?" Y/n asked, "She didn't say, but I remember Rose telling me,"
"Yes, you met Ruby," Garnet said, "She admires your strength,"
"...That's good," Y/n sighed
"Dude, we thought you were dead," Amethyst said as she sat down on the bed, "Like, really dead,"
"So did I," Y/n chuckled, "I thought I was gonna die too,"
"You must've been so scared," Pearl fretted
"Terrified," Y/n said, "But it's okay... We're okay now... Hopefully Lapis knows that too,"
"If she doesn't... Once we find her, she will," Garnet told, "Don't worry,"
"Just focus on healing," Pearl said, "Steven can only repair so much of your body, so quickly,"
"...Sorry about breaking a second sword," Y/n said
"What?" Pearl frowned
"To be fair, I didn't break it," Y/n told, "Jasper punched it right in half,"
"Y/n, I don't care about the sword," Pearl frowned, "I care about you,"
"Oh, we went through the rubble and found this," Amethyst said as she showed Y/n's gun, almost in perfect condition, "We couldn't find any of the shooty things,"
"Bullets?" Y/n asked
"Yeah those," Amethyst said
"They all must have fired when the ship set aflame," Pearl said
"Makes sense," Y/n sighed, "I'll call up Captain Turner for another order,"
"Worry about that later," Garnet said, "Rest now,"
"What about Peridot? Where is she?" Y/n asked
"She got away in an escape pod," Pearl told, "She could be anywhere,"
"Heh... What a mess we've made," Y/n laughed, "Where is Steven?"
"He... He doesn't want to talk right now," Pearl told, "He's still shaken,"
"Understandable," Y/n sighed, "I... I'm tired,"
"Go to sleep, Y/n. You deserve the rest," Garnet assured
"I still have a lot to tell you," Y/n said
"It can wait," Pearl told
"Just a quick nap..." Y/n sighed as they closed their eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.
