Chad's POV:
I gritted my teeth and clenched my fist in anger as I heard what Nigel did to my cousin.
"What a dirt bag! Don't you worry cous I'm gonna teach him a lesson he'll never forget" I said angrily standing up poping my knuckles.
But before I could go (Y/N) grabbed my shirt that caused me to fall down on my butt.
"Don't! I don't want to look weak and damsel in distress now would I?" She said then sighed "I can handle on my own I just need distration...I can't handle my heart being like this...it's not what seem to be like the old days"
I nodded and sat down next to her patting her back for her comfort. She hugged her knees and cried silently I wanted to help her but I don't know how...
"Well um...how can I help you at least? I don't want to just stand here and do nothing we're cousins" I asked hoping that she can tell me anything that I can do for her just for her to feel better.
"Remember the adult team that you were forcing me to join back then?" She asked wiping her tears.
My eyebrow raised "yeah, what about it?" I asked.
"I'm joining the team, how can I be a member of it?" She asked.
I was now in complete shock. The most faithful and skillful team back in the knd is joining us to bring down it's society? I didn't expect that at all. I was lost in thoughts but got bring back when (Y/N) started snapping her fingers at me.
"Hey hey, you still with me cous?" She asked kneeling infront of me.
"Yeah...um are you sure about your decision? You know you were very faithful back then in your little crew" I asked as she helped me got up.
"Yeah, it can be a great distration from everything I'm going through and it's a great exercise to keep me fit from everything I eat all the time" she smiles although it looked more forced.
I frown and sighed "okay meet me after school" I told her once again patting her back and walking off to get to my class.
(Y/N)'s POV:
I stared at Chad as he walked away, I heard the school's bell ring and class is starting. But I didn't do anything I just sighed and climbed up the tree sitting on a branch and deciding to just skip class and everything.
But some asshat had to smoke underneath me as I breath deeply making me cough. I looked down and saw that it was Ace...huh it IS an asshat.
"Hey ever heard of being a disapointment to your family for smoking and cutting class?" I called down to him.
He looked up and saw me with widen eyes, but he realized it was me he just put on a scrowl face and rolled his eyes continuing smoking anyways.
"Psh like what you're doing right now" he says.
"Ey! I don't smoke I was just here to consume time for a little!" I argued.
"And cut classes?" He asked raising a brow.
"Can you just don't smoke underneath me? Cigarettes aren't really my type" I told him glaring at him.
He smirked "how do you know? Have you ever tried it?" He asked blowing a smoke on the air.
"Nope! Never! Rather die by getting hit by the bus than lung cancer using those sticks" I told him getting comfortable on my branch.
"You only live once anyway so why not give it a try" he shrugs. (I got into this situation once and I'm so glad I said no I'll be using my words of inspiration here)
"A hell nah! You go and fuck off with you're dumbass cigarette and fuck yourself cause I ain't no getting my health in danger by some smoking stick pick now run along prick!" I sassed glaring at him.
"Psh it's your loss dude not mine" he said leaving.
"Nah I'll be seeing you losing your life one day" I muttered angrily.
Once again silence had filled me and thoughts ran in my head huh looks like I'm siding with the evil now....maybe their just doing it for the goods of the kids I mean they did start eating too much candy than vegetables it's bad for their health and father seems to just care for his kids...speaking of father I wonder what happened to those spoiled delightful dorks I thought looking up. Haven't seen those Annabell wanna be for years since I turned 13....teen, man...growing up sucks...especially high school. I sighed and remembered the old times I had.
The next bell once again rang meaning the last lesson. Although I didn't budge on my seat and just sat there staring at the sky doing nothing. I just then remembered detention... I slapped my forehead and sighed deeply.
"How could I forget?" I muttered angrily to myself.
"Forgot what?"
I down and saw that DJ was tapping her foot and crossing her arms on me oh no here comes mom...
"Nothing" I sighed "anyway what are you doing here?" I asked.
"What am I doing here? What are you doing here???" When the class started you weren't there which made me and Kuki worried!" DJ said climbing up the tree and sitting down next to me "although it was fine since you didn't have to witness the escape of the alligator in science class earlier"
I just sighed and leaned on the tree, DJ saw this and frowned.
"Anything wrong?" She asked swinging her legs.
"Detention thats what's wrong" I told her.
"Are you still mad about what happened earlier?" she asked again but this time sadly.
I looked at her and sighed "no I just didn't like the thought I was getting detention for two days..."
She stopped swinging her legs and looks at me "two days detention? For just laughing like a retarded seal? Man this school IS evil" she said giggling.
"Says the one who makes really terrible puns" I said rolling my eyes.
"Hey my puns are PUNNY you just don't seem to get it" she says pouting.
"Nah their just pointless" I said snapping a sharp end of the tree branch.
She glared at me with a huge frown, while I just laughed at her. She then brings out two cold cola cans and gives one to me.
"Stop yapping here have a cola you're not you when your thristy" she said as I took it.
I pushed it open and took a sip "how big is your hoodie pocket anyway?" I asked.
"Bigger than an elephant and deeper than bill gate's wallet that's how big and deep it is" she answers.
I nod and sipped on my drink, the wind blew with my floating in sync with the warm air.
"Who do you like most?"
"Huh?" I asked turning my head to DJ.
"You heard me" she said.
I thought for a moment and sighed, I shrugged and look down.
"I dunno they don't seem that much interested in me anyway" I told her.
"What?! Girl are you seriously that oblivious?" DJ sassed.
"Wallabe seems really close to Kuki, they seem like a great couple" I told her.
"Psh, their just friends" DJ complained.
"Nigel kissed Lizzie earlier...well actually the other way around but still he melted in the kiss" I once again told her.
She looked at me shock "wait when the hell did that happen???" She asked getting angry.
"DJ just chill...they did have a relationship back then..." I sighed.
"That was years ago! And besides they BROKE UP!" She argued getting angry.
"You know whenever I see lovers names carved on trees it doesn't seems really romantic to me, I just think it's suprising how people seem to often bring knives in their dates" I said trying to change the subject.
DJ didn't say anything else instead just glared at me for a moment then sighed understanding my situation.
It grew silent once again, till the bell rang I got off the tree and took my bag next to it who was just lying their without a care. I slung it on my back and started walking away. DJ didn't seem to budge on her seat and just continued drinking cola. She's probably planning something I thought then shrugged it off I remembered detention but just decided to cut from it and deal with it tomorrow.
Finally arriving infront of the school I stayed hidden and waited for Chad to show up. And there he was looking around like a lost puppy for me, I walked slowly to him my head looking down and taking his hand. He noticed it was me and sighed.
"Ready for joining the adult side?" Chad asked.
"I'm already an adult so yeah" I shrugged.
"Let's go"
