"Ok, heres the plan. Tell everyone but the twins." Dad says.
"Agreed" I say and walk out. We were sitting in the living room of the new house discussing what we were going to do with the bots. Lately we've been packing, but that's not really what I'm focused on. I'm focused on the three days worth of memory I'm missing. I just couldn't figure it out and it was pissing me off.
"You know you can just ask me right?" I hear a familiar voice in my head. It was Gryphon, my wolf.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"Me and you are literally the same damn person it's not that hard to figure it out." She said.
"Wait, were you in control?" I ask as it dawns on me.
"Yes, I was. Your body and myself were conscious, but your mind was not. So I took it as my responsibility to keep you safe. I have no recollection of what happened, but I stepped in when necessary. That was until you started to wake up and startled yourself into falling off of that platform." She explained.
"That makes sense. Now, you've missed a lot since you've been gone." I say. Gryphon had pushed herself back into my mind to strengthen herself about five months ago. It's a long story.
"Oh have I now?" She questions.
"Oh yeah, a ton. We found more Cybertronians as you may know. Met some new humans that know about us. Had dinner at the pack house. Apparently we missed a shit fest in Mission City and we got a new house." I told her.
"Awesome, but I feel like you're not telling me something." She said suspiciously.
"Hmm. You're going to have to find that out yourself." I laugh as I walk upstairs to my new room. "So, this is our new room. I figured you'd like it since I'm in love with it."
"Damn, this is pretty cool. Nice choice." She said. "So, why are we moving?"
"It's just so we can be closer to base and the bots can come here without a space bridge if they want. Expect to see four to five new people around the house at random times." I state. I can feel her confusion and go to tease her, but I'm interrupted by a knock on the door. I walk over and open it up to see my Dad in the hallway.
"Sup kid? Ratchet said he called your name and you didn't acknowledge him at all. You just kept walking in a daze." He asked with a worried and confused look on his face.
"Gryphon's back" was all I needed to say.
"She is? Tell her I said welcome back." He says and chuckles.
"Stop with the jokes old man." Gryphon said through our sire bond. "And thanks. It's nice to see you both again. Now, would you mind telling me something? Who is Ratchet? And lastly what the hell has (y/n) so happy and why won't she tell me?!" She yelled.
"I think that's something you should find out by yourself Gryphon. And Ratchet is the Autobot medic that I've been friends with for centuries." Dad says and turns to walk away. "I'm going to go tell Ratchet why you ignored him so he stops moping."
"Tell him I'm sorry!" I yell down the hall after him.
"Will do!" He yells back.
I go to turn around but I'm stopped by a spine tingling voice. "What was that about?" Optimus asked as he stepped into my room.
"I completely ignored Ratchet earlier on accident." I laugh and ignore the constant questions bouncing around in my head. "I was a little distracted."
"By what?" He asked and sat himself down on my bed.
"It's a bit of a long story. Remember when I told you about the two halves of a Werewolf?" I ask and he nods. "Well mine just came back to me in a way. My wolf's name is Gryphon and she's a complete pain in the ass!" I raise my voice so she'd get my point.
"Okay? But what does that mean?" He asked with an innocent look on his face. This mech was going to be the end of me.
"It means that Gryphon is in my head right now. That's why I was distracted earlier and why I just raised my voice. I was yelling at her. She's very adamant on meeting you." I laugh.
"I would like to meet her as well. Is that alright?" He questions and I nod before opening up my side of our bond and allowing Gryphon to speak to him.
"Hi! My name is Gryphon, who are you and why is (y/n) so happy?!" She says frustratedly.
"My name is Optimus Prime, but you can just call me Optimus or Orion. To answer your second question, I believe she is happy for the same reason I am. Being near your mate definitely makes one feel happier than usual." He says and looks at me expectantly. I nod and he smiled.
"Wait a fuckin minute did you say mate?! You're our mate?!" She gasped. I laughed breathlessly and smile.
"That's correct." Optimus smiled.
"Got you good didn't I?" I tease. She growls and draws back. "Welp, now she's pissed off."
"That's alright, she'll come around." Optimus said and grabbed me before pulling me on the bed. He put his arms around me and snuggled into my neck.
"Someone's cuddly today." She whisper through the bond.
"I'm just happy to see you, plus I just got done helping your sire set up the guest bedrooms. I was bored so I came to see you." He said. Optimus had been getting a lot more comfortable with me lately.
"Well I'm glad you did. Gryphon was questioning me about everything every two seconds. And I always enjoy a visit from you." I say as I lean over to plant my lips on his. Sparks shot through us just like the first time.
~Time Skip~
After going to help unpack more stuff in the garage, we went back to the base in Nevada. I sat on Optimus' shoulder as we walked through the ground bridge.
"The cons' shielding must be down. It's the only thing that would explain it." I hear Ratchet say to himself.
"What are you doing Ratchet?" I ask.
"Hmm. Oh you two are here, I didn't notice sorry. I'm also sorry about earlier, your sire explained everything about Gryphon to me and I completely understand. Now, back to the subject at hand. I've found something, or rather a couple things." He said and pointed at the screen he was at. "I discovered the location of the decepticon's warship, but at the same time, an Autobot distress call."
"The distress call takes priority. If there are others in danger, we must help them." Optimus said. "Ratchet, they may need medical attention. Grab your med kit, we're going to investigate."
"Can I come with you guys?" I ask and he hesitates before nodding yes.
"Arcee, watch the humans please." Optimus commanded before we left. Arcee was in charge because Magnus was still at the house helping with everything.
"Let's go." He said and Ratchet opened the ground bridge. We all stepped through together while Bumblebee came over to close it.
"Woah, is that it?" I asked instantly after seeing the giant heap of metal sticking out of the ground.
"I believe so. Be cautious though, there might be decepticons in the area." Optimus warned as we got closer. "Stand back."
Ratchet took a step back and Optimus cut through the metal and into the ship. We stepped inside to hear absolute silence. It was dark and ominous, not to mention the ship was on unstable ground so it rocked with every step. We walked down a hall and came to an open room where bodies were strewn across the floor. They were all dead with a shiny purple-ish blue liquid pooled around them.
"Optimus, this is a plague ship." Ratchet gasped. Optimus went to bend down and touch one of the corpses before Ratchet yanked him back. "Don't touch anything! The virus could still be active!"
That's when the ship rocked and knocked me off my feet. Optimus and Ratchet fell to their knees and that's when it all went to shit.
