The train came to a stop in the coastal town of Swansea. Ophelia and Tom grabbed their luggage and bid their goodbyes to Rune and Dove. Ophelia hugged the two and Tom was forced into a hug by Dove whereas Rune gave Tom a firm handshake as they rushed off the train.
When they were off, the two waved Dove and Rune off as the train left the station and started the long journey to Aberystwyth.
"How far is your house from here?" Tom asked as he looked around the station.
"It's just up the road," Ophelia smiled.
The two walked through the building where people buy their tickets and wait for the train if there was to be bad weather.
"It's like a ten-minute walk, and with all this luggage we should probably get the bus," Ophelia nodded her head towards the bus.
"We'd better hurray before it leaves then," Tom said as he began to run.
Ophelia was caught off guard, she quickly readjusted her grip on her trunk and made sure Achromatic was safe under her arm.
Tom was in line for the bus as people were boarding.
"What shall I do about Achro? They won't let her on!" Ophelia looked up at Tom with concern.
"Take my jumper from around my waist and cover her," Tom took Ophelia's trunk from her as she untied Tom's jumper.
Ophelia covered Achro and cuddled her into her chest. Tom handed her his change for his bus ticket.
"Where do you want to get dropped off?" the conductor asked as Tom and Ophelia stepped on the bus.
"Chapel street please," Ophelia smiled.
"That's a half penny for the two of you," the conductor smiled as he handed Ophelia their tickets.
Ophelia handed over a halfpenny and the two thanked him and walked to the nearest available seats.
Achromatic crawled out from under Tom's jumper and the two began to scratch behind her ear.
"You're the most stereotypical witch going," Tom let out a low chuckle.
"How so?" Ophelia furrowed her eyebrows.
"You have a black cat and you rode your broom up to Aberystwyth high above the clouds," Tom looked Ophelia in the eye and have her a toothy side smile.
"How did you know?" Ophelia squinted her eyes.
"Me and Dove were waiting for out interviews together and she told me then," Tom nodded his head as he continued to scratch Archomatic's hear.
"Chapel street!" The bus conductor yelled.
"Come on, Riddle," Ophelia laughed at Achro's face as she stood up quickly and grabbed her trunk.
The two walked off the bus and Tom looked around once the bus drove off.
"This is a nice area," Tom said as he put his hand up to block the sun from his eyes.
Ophelia laughed as she crossed the street leaving Tom on his own as a few cars drove past.
She walked up the tiny hill and ran to her front door.
Tom came running behind her as she took the key that her parents hid under the plant pot.
"You're so annoying," Tom panted.
"Welcome to the Lockwood residence in the day time," Ophelia smiled as Achro jumped out of her arms and walked into the living room.
"You are aware that I've been here in the day before," Tom rolled his eyes as he closed the door.
"I am but that was in year four and before the house was renovated," Ophelia smiled, "come on, trunks upstairs."
Ophelia dragged her trunk behind her up the stairs to which Tom rolled his eyes when they finally reached the top.
"This a good placed to leave it?" Tom asked as he walked into Ophelia's room.
Ophelia nodded and ran back downstairs.
Tom let out a sigh and followed her down into the kitchen.
"Just getting a drink and we can walk down to the beach," Ophelia smiled.
Tom leaned on the door frame as he watched Ophelia rush around the tiny kitchen trying to find a numerous amount of things for their day at the beach.
He admired how every time she pushed back a peace of her hair it always fell back in place, causing her to groan obnoxiously loud.
Once she finished gathering everything and screwing the lid onto the bottles, she stood up straight and turned to Tom. She began to blush like mad at the way he was staring and smiling at her.
"Are we going to the beach or what?" Tom asked as he held out his hand for Ophelia to take.
Ophelia nodded and quickly chucked a few things into a bag and grabbed a handful of muggle money from the jar.
The two left the way they came in and wondered down the road that headed towards the beach.
Ophelia had a small smile on her face when they reached the small café where she usually spent her time with Emory over the holidays. As she walked past she wondered whether or not she'd be willing to ever take Tom there like she did with Emory.
The twenty-minute walk in the summer heat was agonising for the young couple and they finely reached the beach and found the perfect spot. She placed down the picnic blanket she packed and sat down and looked around for Tom to find that he had disappeared.
Ophelia looked around to see if she could see him but he was nowhere in sight. She shrugged it off, as she thought Tom has probably gone to cool down in the water.
"Missing me already, Lockwood? How sweet," Tom laughed as he sat down next to Ophelia on the picnic blanket, "here."
Tom handed over an ice cream cone with two scoops of vanilla ice cream on top.
"And where'd you get the money for this?" Ophelia asked as she took the ice cream from Tom's hand.
"Ophelia, my dear, you seem to forget that I'm a wizard and you're a witch," Tom smiled as looked her in the eyes.
Ophelia laughed and the two leaned in closer to each other. What Ophelia expected to be a kiss was a cold dot of ice cream on her nose from Tom.
Ophelia gasped as and turned away from Tom and continued to eat her ice cream.
"I'm not even mad, it's quite refreshing," Ophelia smiled.
"Hurry up and finish that will you?" Tom nagged as Ophelia began to take her last bite.
"Alright, I'm done," Ophelia held up hands up as she ate the last pit of the waffle cone.
Tom smiled and stood up, he reached for Ophelia's hands and pulled her up too. When she was on her feet Tom bent down and picked her up over her shoulders. Ophelia was confused as to why tom was doing this but also laughed as he kicked off his shoes and began to balance them both on one leg as he pulled his socks off.
With Ophelia on his shoulder, Ophelia kicked her shoes off as Tom ran towards the water.
Ophelia looked up once she heard the sound of Tom running in the ocean.
Tom placed her down and the initial shock of the cold water cooled her down straight away.
Ophelia was the first to splash a whole load of water at Tom to cause him to be completely drenched and his uniform becoming see-through and sticking to him.
Tom stood in the water with his mouth agape as he watched Ophelia's smile grow on her face as she laughed.
"You think this is funny, Lockwood?" Tom asked, as Ophelia began to run back to shore, "get back here, Lockwood."
Tom chased after her and easily caught up to her, he carried her back to where they just were dropped her completely in the water.
As she was submerged under the water she grabbed Tom's ankles pulling him into the water with her.
Onlookers on the shore watched and a familiar face to Ophelia laughed as he shook his head, "young love, has always been so beautiful."
