pain
Jungkook scrunched his eyes when he was hit with the pain radiating his body. He slowly blinked his eyes open, trying to identify his unfamiliar surroundings.
Hoseok.
He immediately relaxed when he saw Hoseok lying with half his body on the bed Jungkook was on top of and his lower half slouched in a chair. Jungkook could see the bags under his eyes and the wrinkles that marred his usually worry-free face even in his sleep.
Jungkook reached out the hand that wasn't clutched in Hoseok's and set to smoothing the furrow between Hoseok's eyebrows, ignoring the ache as he moved. He brushed back Hoseok's bangs from his forehead, thinking about why he was here. He couldn't remember anything after Sunghyon and his friends hit him, punches and kicks getting progressively harder when Jungkook didn't seem to give them the response they'd been seeking.
Jungkook doesn't notice Hoseok waking up from his ministrations.
"Jungkookie, baby," he whispered in awe as he jolted up and cupped the side of Jungkook's face with his hand. "How're you feeling, love?"
"Hurts," Jungkook croaks out, not realizing how parched his throat was until he tried to speak.
Hoseok scrambles out of the chair he had been occupying to grab the water bottle on the nightstand next to the bed.
"I'm going to go grab some painkillers for you, okay? I'll only take a minute," Hoseok rushes out after dropping a kiss on top of Jungkook's head.
True to his word, he came back into the room with a bottle of pills, taking two out to give to Jungkook who swallowed them down with a mouthful of water.
"What happened, Seokie hyung?" he questioned to Hoseok who was hovering next to him, waiting to take the bottle of water out of Jungkook's hands once he was done.
