Tobias' POV
When i finally got Natalie to go to sleep i thanked my mom for watching her and went back to the bedroom. Tris was asleep so i was careful when climbing into bed and sliding my hand around her waist. Moving my hand to her stomach i couldn't help but think, i might be a father again. That thought was the last thought on mind as i drifted off to sleep.
When i wake up Tris isn't there and in her place is Natalie. "Hi, Daddy" she smiles her cheesy grin. I smile "Hmm there's no daddy here. Just the tickle monster!!" i shout tickling her as she tries to squirm away. After a few minutes i stop and she catches her breath. "Where did mommy go?" i ask her. With her little arm she points at our bathroom and i know what she's doing. "Is mommy sick?" she asks jumping onto my chest. I sighed looking over at the door. "No, i don't think so. Why don't you go play in your room for a little bit and i'll check on mommy. Then we can go out for breakfast." i say as her blue eyes light up. "Ok!" she squeals as she toddles out the door. Once she's gone i hop up and knock on the bathroom door. "You ok in there?" i ask. "You can come in." she responds in a groggy voice. I open the door and see Tris sitting on the edge of the bathtub. In one hand is a box and in the other is a stick. "Well?" i ask crouching down in front of her. She looks up and smiles slightly. Turning the stick around to show me the sign she weakly says "I'm pregnant" she places the test and box in the trash and sits back down. "I don't even remember having sex" she says running a hand through her hair. "Remember the house warming party... we were pretty drunk. But i do remember" i say blushing. "Oh" she says. "Aren't you happy?" i ask seeing her tired face. "Are you?" she asks avoiding eye contact. "Of course. I mean why wouldn't i be?" i say holding her in my arms. "I don't know. Natalie was sort of forced on you, we could have prevented this." she said starting to cry. "Hey, look at me. I wouldn't change this. I just want to make sure that you are happy" i say. "It's just that the last time, it was so horrible. The hospital was awful always testing on me, then they poked and prodded at her and i couldn't bare to see it again. Please don't make me go back. Please" she cries into my shoulder. For a minute i just let her cry, i will never be able to understand what happened in that hospital but i can't bare to see her like this. "Ok. I promise. I'll talk to Christina, she had Cara at home. I'll see what she says." she just looks up and kisses me. "Thank you."
We've been sitting here for at least thirty minutes when i heard the door open. "Hey sweetheart." Tris says wiping her eyes. "Why mommy crying" Natalie says hugging Tris tightly. "Mommy is fine. Guess what, you're going to be a big sister." Tris says placing Natalie on her lap. "When?" her big blue eyes teeming with curiosity. "Not for a while. But you're gonna have a little sister or a little brother!" Tris says. She's such a good mom. This time i get to be there for her 100% of the time.
