{ Taehyung's P.O.V }
"This is it! An amusement park date on a weekend. Doesn't it feels- Why are you standing there?" turning my attention from the hussling crowds of people in the amusement park, I looked back at the entrance gate where Hiyori was standing, not taking a step inside.
"I-I'm not really good with crowds. Let me go back home," she whined.
"You haven't came out once since you came here," I said, walking towards her before grabbing her hand, "Now come with me young lady, to the realm of reality."
"Aww man. I wanna watch anime~~" she whined as I dragged her inside.

"That was so much fun!" Hiyori yelled in excitement, "I wanna ride that now. Let's go!" she exclaimed before hopping towards the merry-go-round.
I chuckled, "So now you're having fun, huh? Willing to accept now that your onee-chan was right?" I asked her with a smirk as I placed my hanfs on my sides.
"Th-That's-" she said, turning to me with a flustered expression on her face, "Fine. O-Onee chan was right," she admitted, a pout on her face as she crossed her arms.
I chuckled before pinching her cheeks, "Such a cute kid. Now off you go to that merry-go-round. I'll go and buy us some ice-creams," I said, ruffling her hair before giving her a push, walking in the opposite direction once she waved at me before hopping off.
I smiled at her back, putting my hands inside my pockets as I waljed towards the ice-cream stand.
"One pineapple and one strawberry. Double scoops, please," I said to the employee before taking out my wallet.
"Kim Taehyung?"
Turning around to the voice, I asked in surprise, "Eun Byul? What's up?! What are you doing here?"
"Well, I'm on a date," she said as she grabbed the person beside her. Paying attention to him after listening to her words, I saw it was none other than that famous friend of hers.
"Date?" I asked before chuckling, "Well then, I'm here on a date too, with Hiyori."
"What are you, competing with me or what? You're just having a family picnic, man," she said before stepping up and ordering their ice-creams.
"What do you mean? You guys are out on a family picnic as well," I said to Kai.
He smirked, "You're wrong."
I furrowed my brow in, my nose scrunching a bit in confusion, "What?"
"We are here on a date as," he said as he threw his arm over Eun Byul's shoulder as she came back, "We're here as boyfriend and girlfriend."
At his words, I thanked God I wasn't standing on the edge of a cliff because I probably would've fell from the shock.
Did my ears finally gave up on me after listening to songs on full volume?
"Eun Byul, your friend here is quite funny," I said, pointing at him as I laughed.
"It's true."
Stopping my laughter, I bit my lip as I looked down.
So he was the one who confessed to her?
"Sir, your order is here."
Turning around, I garbbed thd ice-creams from the employee before paying him money.
"Wow, you got pineapple? Let me have a taste," Eun Byul said as she stepped towards me.
Looking up at her with eyes filled with disappointment and rage, I handed her the ice-cream before running away.
"Hey, Tae! Where are you going?!" she yelled behind me but at that moment, I couldn't afford to look at her face. As I kept running away until I reached a vacant area, I panted before shoving the vanilla ice-cream in my hand in my mouth.
It's cold.
I thought as a tear rolled down my face.
It's cold.
Another tear rolled my face.
It's really... cold.
And with that thought, I squatted before burying my head between my legs and chest as a stream of tears rolled down my eyes.

Looking at the text which Hiyori had sent me, informing that she had went home, I sighed.
After that big talk about having fun, I ended up staying away from her the whole day.
Looking up at the night sky, I started making my way out of the amusement park.
"It's 8 already. I hope Hiyori's not dead of hunger," I mumbled as I walked down our street. Taking out my keys as I walked towards my house, I saw someone standing there.
Walking closer, my eyes widened as Eun Byul turned her head towards me, "You took so long."
Gulping as I walked towards my front door without looking at her, I opened the door. With my hand still on the door knob, I asked with my back facing towards her, "Did you wanted something?"
"I want to talk to you." she said.
"Sorry but I can't right now," saying that, I started walking inside but she stopped me by grabbing my arm, "Tae, what's wrong with you-"
"Let me go," I cut her off, freeing my arm from her grip.
"Tae-"
"Not now, Eun Byul. I-I don't wanna talk to you right now. So just leave," I said in a tired manner with my head facing the floor as I once again started to walk inside.
"Just listen to me, Tae. If you're upset about me and Kai-"
"I said, leave!" I yelled as I turned around to her, "I don't want to listen to you now. I don't want to look at you. I don't want to talk to you so just leave already!" I yelled before walking inside and shutting the door tightly.

The next few days passed by quickly. Due to the exams, I was able to distract myself from the thoughts of Eun Byul. At school, I don't know how many times I had avoided her since then day.
It's not like I wasn't talking to her at all, I just kept the conversation between us very brief and walked away whenever she started talking about that day or about Kai.
What did she even saw in that guy?
He has nothing- Oh wait a second.
He's handsome, famous, fit and rich.
He's a perfect guy! If I was a girl, I would've also dated him.
Whereas a guy like me...
*sigh* I don't even wanna get started about things I lack.
Sighing again as I sat on my desk while tapping my fingers on it, I looked around. Recess was almost over and almost all students were back in class except Eun Byul.
Where could she be?
Just then, the classroom door slid open and Eun Byul walked inside. Looking aroundthe class for a moment as her gaze stopped at me for a split second, she walked up to the teacher's desk.
What is that girl up to now?
I thought as I placed my elbow on the desk before supporting my cheek with my hand.
"Kim Taehyung!" suddenly, she yelled loudly while pointing her finger at me, gathering everyone's attention as the class fell in silence.
Startled, I placed my finger on my chest as I mumbled, "Me?"
"I like you! So! Would you go out with me?!"
At her words there was pin drop silence for a moment before everyone started whistling and clapping. Eyes widening in shock as my jaw dropped to the ground, I sat there in shock.
Taehyung.exe has stopped working.
"How bold of her."
"Taehyung is not saying anything though."
"Did she got rejected?"
"How embarrassing."
Snapping out of my shocked state after hearing the whispers around me, I pushed my chair back as I stood up before walking up to Eun Byul and grabbing her hand before walking out of the classroom.
Walking towards the roof with my heart beating so fast it felt like it was going to burst, I opened the roof's gate.
Letting go of her hand as she stepped up and stood in front of me, I looked away from her as blood started rushing into my face, "Wh-What were you saying back there?"
"Didn't you listen?"
"No, I mean," rubbing the back of my head in frustration, I continued, "Look, I get that you've been wanting to talk to me but you shouldn't have lied like that."
With her head facing the floor as she clenched her fists, "It wasn't a lie!" she yelled, making me startled.
"Wha-What?" I asked in surprise and shock.
"How many times do I have to say it for you to understand?" she said in a low voice.
"Lee Eun Byul..." I trailed off as I placed my hand on her arm, "What are you talking about?" I asked her but instead of answering me, she started crying loudly.
"H-Hey. Wh-What's wrong?" I asked her in both surprise and worry.
"I hate you, Tae. You're such a fool," she said in between her cries as she faced the sky before placing her arm over her face.
"Look, I-I'm sorry, okay? I'll listen to you so just please," I said in a pleasing voice as I removed her arm from her face and grabbed her hand, "Just stop crying."
Sniffing before rubbing away her tears with her sleeve, I looked at her in silence as she calmed herself down.
"Is it Kai?" I asked her after she had calmed down.
"What?" she asked me, furrowing her brow in confusion.
"Are you crying because of him?-"
"It's because of you, you fool!" she exclaimed, cutting me off.
"Why me? If youre thinking I'm ignoring you then rest assure. I was just trying to give you some space since you started dating Kai."
"You're really," gritting her teeth, she angrily said, "We're not dating!"

"My answer is yes."
"Really?!" Kai asked with a wide smile.
"But," lifting up my finger, I said, "Only for one day."
Listening to my words, he tilted his head in confusion, "One day?"
"Yes. I will be your girlfriend but just for one day."
"Oh..." he trailed off, his head hanging low, "Can I ask why?"
"It's because... It's because I already like someone."
"Is it that friend of yours?" he asked with a half hearted smile.
"...Yeah."

{ Eun Byul's P.O.V }
"So he told me to go to the amusement park with him as that one day date," I finished as we both were now sitting down with our back against one of the roof's walls.
"So that's what happened!" Taehyung excalimed happily, "So you werent lying just then in the classroom?" he asked, his face beaming with happiness as he turned his face to me.
"I-I wasn't," I said as I looked away from him.
"Then," grabbing my hands as I turned towards him, he smiled widely, "Can you say it again?"
"Wh-Why should I?" fluttered, I asked him.
"You won't?" he asked, his smile fading away.
"Ahh!" yelling in frustration, I stood up, "I like you! I like you a lot!"
Chuckling, he smiled widely, pinching my cheeks before standing up.
"Me too."
[ The Next Day ]
"Isn't that her?"
"The one who confessed in front of her class and got rejected?"
"Yeah, it's really her. Her name's Eun Byul, right?"
Gritting my teeth as I was walking through the corridor, I stopped in my steps before turning around to the girls who was whispering.
"If you have something to say then, SAY IT TO MY FACE!" I yelled, making them flinch before they ran away.
"Cowards," I mumbled as I walked towards my class.
Sliding the door open, all eyes turned to me as I walked up to my seat. With the same topics of whispers around me, I decided to give up as I put my arms on my desk before burywibg my face in between them.
"Isn't she embarrassed?"
"I know, right? I would've been too much embarassed to even show my face at school for at least a month."
"After Taehyung rejected her like that-"
"Who rejected who?"
As soon as the familiar voice reached my ears, I looked up at Taehyung who was standing at the door.
"You rejected Eun Byul, right? The news is all over the school," Mi Rae, one of my classmates said.
"Are you all fools or what?" he asked as he stepped up towards me, "I never rejected her," he said as he smiled at me.
"Then are you guys dating now?"
"Of course we are!" he beamed excitedly as he placed his hand on my shoulder, making the corner of my lips turn up.
"Umm, guys, I'm already here. Can I start the class now?" Ms. Oh who was standing at the classroom door, asked in a low voice.

Finally!!
We have reached Eun Byul x Tae's ending. I hope you all liked it.
So, as you guys might have noticed, Eun Byul changed throughout the story. In the start, her character was really strong, she always stood strong and proud and never showed any weakness.
But by the end, her heart and mind both became weak due to what happened to Eun Bi (when Jungkook bullied her), when she found out Jungkook's circumstances and especially, she was most influenced by Taehyung. Their fight and misunderstandings made her realize that being always upright and believing yourself to be right can be wrong.
In such way, Eun Byul's character became a little more dependant but still remains strong through circumstances in which others might falter.
Whereas about Taehyung, in my personal opinion, he was the character that received the least character development because let's all admit it...
Taehyung's character never had many flaws.
In the 'Bully Jungkook arc', when Taehyung found out the fact that his brother was lying, he went up and apologized to both, Eun Byul and Eun Bi. Taehyung has always been a responsible character and so he remains.
To be honest, I like straightforward and responsible yet caring characters like Taehyung a lot.
