I wake up in the morning dreading the day that I'm about to have to endure. Its monday. I'm still tired. And I dont feel like life today. But alas, the alarm is ringing, my mom is screaming, and I cant be late to school again.
I force myself out of bed and slump over to my closet. I grab a few random things that might look halfway okay together and throw them on. putting my light purple hair into a messy bun, I run downstairs.
"Are you about ready for school? Its seven o clock! If you dont hurry you're going to be late," I hear my mom yell from her room. That's my cue to leave. I grab an apple and hurry out the door. I get on my bike and start sprinting to school. Luckily I make it to school on time.
"Safe!," I yell and am promptly shushed by the people around me. I laugh to myself and start heading to my locker. When I get there I see a familiar face standing at the door. "You are requested for testing today Cory. Go to site 1a325," I hear her say.
"Its already that time again? They keep getting closer and closer together. Am i ever going to get a break miss Antoinette"
"I know its stressful, but i have no doubt in my mind that you will do perfectly fine," she states. Although she sounds so confident, I can see the worry in her eyes. After what happened last time, I'm not sure if I'll be able to pass the next test.
Even so, I must try. There is no other way. I take a deep quivering breath and head toward my testing site. I can not show my fear to the judge. If I do, there will be consequences.
