There was a girl once. A girl who wouldn't care what people thought, who wouldn't be hurt much. An oblivious girl, not knowing the true colours of people. Sure, she had some rough times too. But she never stopped smiling. She read books every day and finished them in days. She'd watch episodes of her favourite TV shows and laugh out loud. She would play and do whatever she wanted and ate whatever she liked. She dressed however she wanted. She was always praised by her teachers because of her quietness and intelligence. Some people were envious of her, some asked her how she did it all. Her relatives always loved meeting her and although she was quiet, she was cute and pretty in the eyes of everyone and always had a smile on her face. She smiled at everybody and believed anybody and would always have fun.
There is a girl now. A girl who cares what people think, who gets hurt by even the smallest of things. A girl who knows what everyone really thinks of her when they see her. She's gone through some more rougher times, and now she's stopped smiling. She doesn't get the time to read books much anymore, and finishes one in months or even years. She doesn't watch episodes of her favourite TV shows anymore, excusing it as "Not having enough time" but she knows better. She plays video games about an another world to forget about her real life and she doesn't have any food she likes anymore. She dresses to look pretty so people could compliment her. But nothing can hide the ugliness she has now. Her teachers don't even know her name because of her extreme quietness and the habit of never participating in class. Some people don't like her at all, some think she's nothing at all. Her relatives don't feel great when meeting her and tend to avoid her because she has all the bad luck and feels gloomy all the time. Now, she never has a smile on her face. Except on occasions, but even that is rare. She doesn't return any smile back and doesn't believe anyone anymore because of the millions of bad thoughts going around in her head. Life isn't fun for her anymore.
