Hello, everyone! I am so sorry for not writing lately. Stressed out, not being able to sleep, being scared to go to school (even if I still have holidays) and just life in general is not really being forgiving. I had to force myself to write something, because I didn't want to be a disappointment to you, guys. Sorry once again, enjoy the chapter.
Tom's POV:
'What did I do wrong?' That one thought wouldn't leave my head. I just kept thinking about what happened to Tord. What I said. Did I scare him? Did I make him angry? I heard a knock on my door. "Come in." I called out.
The door opened, revealing Edd. He looked worried. "Do you need something, Edd?" I asked. He stayed silent, his gaze falling upon something I was holding. His expression changed from worried to terrified. I looked at what I was holding. (I can already hear you screaming in the comments.)
A bottle. A bottle of Smirnoff.
"Tom... You drink..?" Edd asked carefully and went up to me. I took another sip from the half empty bottle and sighed. "Nah, this is the first bottle." I flinched as I felt the burning sensation in my throat. Edd frowned and kneeled down beside me, wrapping his arms around me tightly, pulling me into a comforting and warm hug.
I stayed silent and closed my eyes, just enjoying the feeling of not being alone. "...What happened, Tom? What's bothering you?" I didn't respond, but let go of the bottle and hugged him back. "...What did I do wrong, Edd..?"
He looked confused and slowly seperated from the hug. I saw the pain in his eyes when he saw tears roll down my red cheeks. He wiped them away and placed his hand on my shoulder. "Wanna talk about it?" I nodded and took a deep breath to calm myself down before I started explaining everything.
About the facetime, about Tord, how I felt and how he reacted. He listened, his expression changing from time to time. I finished with "I can't stop thinking about him, Edd... I didn't want to make him upset..."
He hugged me once again, this time I didn't hesitate to hug him back. He comforted me, but I couldn't hear him that well, I was too busy listening to my thoughts screaming Tord's name in my ears.
"I understand, Tom... Thanks for telling me, remember we're here for you when you need us, okay?" He smiled at me. I sighed. "Why do I think about him so much, Edd? I don't even know him for that long..."
It went quiet until he started laughing. I was the one confused now. "What's so funny?" I crossed my arms. He chuckled, calming down solightly. "Sorry, I just... I think you like him, Tom~" I tilted my head to my side, my cheeks getting redder every second. "What do you mean by that?"
"You like him, Tom!" "Well yeah, he's a great friend." "Not like that, silly!" Edd giggled when Matt entered the room. "Hi, what's going on here?" He asked. Edd broke into laughter. "Tom loves Tord!"
That was when I realized what he previously meant. My whole face started burning up. "GUYS!" I yelled. They both laughed while I just stared, blushing. Why was I blushing? Nobody knows. We were interrupted by a ding that came from my phone.
I grabbed it...and saw a new message from Tord. 'Finally!' I smiled and tapped on it. Edd and Matt scooted closer to me, both smirking. I glared at them both and turned my attention back to the bright screen.
N0RSK1: Tom... I am so sorry... I just panicked, I didn't mean to hurt you. It's alright if you don't want to be friends with me anymore... I'm sorry. For not answering, for my breakdown, for everything. I'm sorry, Tom... I really am...
I frowned as I read the message. Poor Tord... "N0RSK1? What kind of username is that?" Matt asked, chuckling and trying to lighten up the mood a little bit. "He's from Norway." I explained and started typing a responce.
PineappleBoi: Tord, it's okay! Don't apologize! I'm the one who did this, I'm the one who should be saying sorry right now...
N0RSK1: What? No way! I was the one who panicked! I scared you! I ignored your messages..
PineappleBoi: Tord... It's okay...
N0RSK1: ....Is it..?
PineappleBoi: Yes, I promise you. I forgive you, even if you didn't do anything wrong.
N0RSK1: ...How can you be so kind to me..? What did I do to deserve you!?
PineappleBoi: You exist, that's what you did.
N0RSK1: God, you made me smile.
PineappleBoi: It's better than frowning, right?
N0RSK1: Yeah. Yeah, it is.
PineappleBoi: Hey, ya wanna call again? It's okay if you're not comfortable with it after...what happened.
N0RSK1: I have no problem with it, but please. Let's not talk about...personal things for now, okay?
PineappleBoi: I understand.
Edd and Matt both got up. "I guess we'll leave you two alone now~" They were about to leave, but I stopped them. "Wait! Don't you wanna meet Tord?" I grinned at them. They gasped. "YES!" They jumped right back to where they were before, as if they never got up.
I tapped on the facetime icon and waited for Tord to answer. It didn't take long and I saw his face again. He was smiling, but I did see tears stained on his cheeks. I felt a wave of guilt wash over me, but didn't comment it.
He froze when he saw Edd and Matt, however. His face went red and he covered it with his free hand. "Hey, don't be scared! We're Tom's friends!" Edd said calmly, smiling like a child. Tord uncovered his eyes and Matt gasped.
"Your eyes are soooo pretty!" Tord uncovered his face completely. "Thanks..."I chuckled. "Don't worry, Tord. They won't judge you." He nodded. "Okay.." "So Tord, this is Edd." Edd waved his hand at Tord. "And this is Matt!" "HEWWO!"
Tord flinched when Matt raised his voice. I sent a deathglare at Matt. "Don't be so loud, you'll scare him!" Edd crossed his arms at Matt. Tord smiled softly. ""It's alright... Nice to meet you both."
Tord's POV:
'Two new friends? Impossible.' I thought, chuckling as Edd told me that Matt once his stuck in the fridge while playing hide and seek. Matt blushed a little. "I was not stuck in there! I was telling my beloved friends about the time I killed the Burritoranosaurus!"
I had no idea what he was talking about, but I let it be. "Suuure, Matt." Tom shook his head and Edd facepalmed. I was about to say something when the door to my room opened. I froze and turned my attention to the door.
Pat walked in, smiling. "I see my son is socializing?" I chuckled nervously. "Y-yeah." "WHO IS THERE!? MORE FRIENDS?" I heard Matt yell from the other side. "Matt!" I blushed madly as Pat laughed and came closer to me.
He hugged me and I just stared in embarrassment. "D-Dad!" I hid my face, feeling super awkward. Edd waved at Pat, Tom just kinda stared and Matt looked really excited. "Hi! My name is Patryck! But call me Pat." I sighed and uncovered my face.
"Why do you do this to me, father..." He chuckled and ruffled my hair and got up. "Sorry, Tordie, love you!" And with that, he left the room while I was burning up. "I AM SO SORRY FOR THAT-" "Chill, it's okay." Tom calmed me down, smiling calmly which calmed me down too.
Edd and Matt suddenly got up. "Hey, we gotta make lunch, it was nice meeting you, Tord!" Edd said. I swear he was holding hands with Matt, but it could have just been my imagination. I nodded. "Bye, guys. Hope we'll see each other again!" Then they left, leaving me alone with Tom.
"You have really nice friends, Tom!" I said. He giggled. I swear, his giggle was so adorable.. "Yeah, they're cool!" I scratched he back of my neck. "Hey, Tom? Are they...dating? I thought I saw them holding hands."
Tom looked confused. "Well, I do ship the two, but I don't know. Maybe the ship has sailed!" He smirked and I laughed. We continued talking. For minutes and hours. It went on...and on...and on.
Nobody's POV:
The two boys were together once again. Tord was happy with Tom and Tom was happy with Tord. Even if there was still a question floating in the air. Tom still didn't know what was so wrong with Tord that it made him panic the last time they called. He didn't know, but he knew one thing.
He was going to stay with Tord till the very end. No matter what. Tom looked at the bottle of Smirnoff and put it away, smiling. 'Not today, not ever.'
