Annie's POV
I was sitting in English class beside Asher and Kenzie. I sit doodling in my book as the teacher reads out a short story. Asher gently nudged me and my stomach fills with butterflies. He say in a whisper"do you know Jayden?" He asks studying the way I respond to it. I say in a low voice "yea we went to primary school together". His eyes light up. He says with a smile "REALLY!!" I nod my head in response.
Great my crush must like my childhood best friend . The bells rings and I meet Kenzie at the door. "So.." she said making it sound like a question more than a statement. "What?" I say raising an eyebrow. "Don't act dumb with me you like him" she says pointing to Asher. "NO he likes someone else" I state. "Omg who" she says her eyes lighting up."That doesn't matter. Plus why did you sound so happy about it?"
After a few minutes the bell rung and I went to geography. There yet again I sat beside Asher. I started to day dream what would it be like if he liked me back. Soon the teacher calls out my name. "Miss Leblanc would you like to share what you were deep in thought with the class" he says as everyone gazed at me "no thank you sir" I say looking down.
Soon the last bell rings and I rush to my locker and start to walk home. As I was walking I was listening to my music when I get a ping on my phone
I put my phone on the bed and finish the rest of my homework. After a while I go down to kitchen to see my mom helping my sister Hayley with her homework. "Hey mom!" I say enthusiastically. "Hey what's up honey?" She replied. "Can I go shopping with Kenzie to get clothes for asher's party?" I say hoping she agrees. "Sure" she says as she takes her purse out handing me my credit card.
I run upstairs grabbing my things and leaving the house. I get to the shopping center as I wait I spot a boy staring at me. I go over to him and say "hey". He smiles "hey I'm Johnny" he says "Annie" I say studying his eyes. I hear Kenzie calling my name. "I got to go sorry bye" I walk away with that.
After hours of shopping we were finally set for this party. I go home and start to get ready.
