The next days at Whipstaff fly past, being full of preparing for Christmas that is soon to be knocking on the door.
In a quiet room, lighted by candles, a blonde ghoul wraps up presents for others excitedly, "I can't wait ta give these.." she smiles to herself.
She's being distracted by a knock on the door, that is soon followed by a male looking into the room, "Hey Ang-" he starts. "DUN LOOK DUN LOOK!!" The female panicks, trying to cover up the presents.
Stretch turns his back to her, to avoid looking and she calms down, "Shouldn't ya take a break from all the workin'?" He suggests, while turning his head a little to peek on the almost wrapped up presents. Angel gets up from her chair, and flies to her boo to plant a kiss on his neck, "I'm done.. so I guess I could.." she smiles warmly to him.
Angel blows out the candles and the two ghosts leave the room, heading into the TV room where other residents of the manor are working to finish the decorating.
Dr. Harvey is standing on a small ladder, setting up the star on top of the tree, "There.." he smiles proudly.
Stretch starts going through a box of decorations to find a decoration bought for him by his mother a long time ago, but soon Angel grabs a string of Christmas lights, "Hold it cowboy!" She shouts to Stretch, with a western outfit morphed on. Stretch smirks and playfully tries to get away, but Angel lassoes him, now pulling him closer to herself. Facing Angel, Stretch smirks, "I guess ya got me huh?". Angel gives him a small kiss on the tip of his nose, gently releasing him of the hold of the lights. They laugh, holding eachother lovingly, "This is gonna be a good Christmas.." Stretch smiles warmly.
Soon, Casper flies in, bringing plateful of gingerbreads, and offering them to everyone. Angel takes a good look at them, "They're.. SO pretty!" She looks with wide eyes, "Did ya decorate them?". Casper nods shyly, feeling bashful as he blushes, "I'm glad you like them.." he smiles.
Angel sits down, before Stinkie and Fatso join the others, "I can't believe it's only few days till Christmas.." she says.
"I gotta say.. I didn't remember how much fun it wuz to decorate the house.." Stretch smiles as he sits next to her, wrapping his arm around her warmly. Stinkie nods agreeing, "It's been so many years that we ain't done decorating ourselves!" He chuckles.
"It's been so many years that we ain't done anything!" Fatso claims grinning widely.
Soon he is faced by Stretch's cold and questioning look.
"I just meant that.. uh.. we.." he struggles with saying anything anymore. But Angel gets up and flies between the two in Fatso's rescue, "Hey! Let's not fight! It's gonna be Christmas soon.." she looks at them both, one by one. Soon her face brightens, "Speaking of which.. I'll be right back!" The ghoul quickly flies out of the room, not long after returning with a red box in her hands.
Stretch raises an eyebrow, "Watcha got dere?" He asks curiously. "It's something fa ya.. but dun worry, it's not a Christmas present!" She smiles. Handing the box to the tall male, Angel smiles excitedly and nods for him to open it up.
He looks at the box in suspision, but braves up and opens it, "Wha.." he takes out pair of fake reindeer horns.
"Ya like them?" Angel smiles hopefully, looking at Stretch's surprised face.
"Am I.. supposed to wear these..?" He asks feeling confused and unsure.
For an answer Angel nods, "I thought they'd fit ya, so ya could wear them on Christmas!" She explains her thought.
Stinkie starts laughing, "Hey Rudolf! Why don't ya light up the yard while ye're at it?" He starts laughing even more uncontrollably.
Angel turns to face Stinkie, looking mad as a bee that has had it's nest just destroyed, "Ya take that BACK!" she attacks the buckteeth ghost, who falls to the ground. Doing his best, he tries to stop most of her hits that are coming towards him. Stretch and Fatso rush to pull Angel off from Stinkie, and to stop her from getting anymore hits. Dr. Harvey looks at Angel, snd srcribbles down a couple of notes, "Such hostility.. Angel would you like to have a session to talk about the situaton later?" He suggests carefully.
Angel calms down a bit, "Nah.." she turns back to Stinkie, "But I still dun appreciate that way of dissing yer brother about everything.. there goes my limit.." she narrows her eyes at the buckteeth ghost, who slowly starts to get up.
Angel turns to leave, but soon turns around quickly after hearing Stinkie mumble. She causes him to flint, and she nods, "That's what I thought.. dun test me.." she waves her fist at him warningly.
Stretch leads Angel outside, to cool off in peace and they head to the broken fountain, sitting down in their usual way.
"So.. will ya wear it..?" Angel looks at Stretch referring to the reindeer horns.
He sighs and nods, "With one condition.. ya gotta wear something I get to choose to bed." He says, stating his deal to her, which to Angel nods approvingly.
"So uh.. could I take my lady, dancing tonight..?" He smirks, grabbing her hand gently. Angel blushes deeply, "Ya would do that..?" She smiles shyly, looking at him feeling already much better.
Stretch gets up and offers his hand to Angel, before leading her into the night to find a place to dance at.
Back inside of the mighty manor, the two adult male ghosts are in the kitchen. Stinkie mixes a cocktail of smelliness, throwing in expired milk, onions, rotten fish and anything he can find that smells as bad as possible. "Ya saw her, right?" He looks at Fatso who is drinking a glass of milk while eating some cookies, "She was CRAZY out there!".
Fatso shakes his head, "Well, ya did insult Stretch in front of her.. and I think she's been having hard times these days.. so, maybe let her be?" The round ghosts suggests softly.
Stinkie's eyes widen, and he looks down, "Where are those two anyways?" He asks thoughtfully.
"If you mean Unlce Stretch and Angel, I saw them leave a little while ago" Casper says thoughtfully as he places the dirty dishes in the sink. Stinkie flies to a window, looking outside to the starry, yet darkened sky, deeply in his thoughts now.
The two loving ghosts, soon arrive to the other side of the small town, and see a stage set up for local winter dances. Everyone is allowed and free to come and join, and there you are able to take turns in singing songs of your own choosing.
"I say, dis is looking like it.." he smirks to Angel, while morphing on a black suit jacket with a red dress shirt underneath.
Angel giggles softly, as Stretch helps her to spin around a little. As they do so, she morphs on a beautiful, dark red dress with shiny, sharp cut top part and silky skirt.
"Ya look beautiful, Angel.." Stretch smiles, looking at the ghoul of his afterlife.
"Thank ya.. ya look very handsome yerself.." she smiles lovingly back to him.
The two proceed to fly in middle of the other dancing couples, joining in without being noticed.
On the turn at the moment, is a man with a smooth, yet powerful voice. He chooses to sing a song called "Kiss from a Rose" by band called Seal. The way he sings the song, floats in the air smoothly, along with the dancers. It feels like as if the notes take control of the ectoplasmic bodies of the two pale characters, who now only pay attention to eachother.
"Finally.." Stretch says feeling relaxed with Angel by his side, "We can enjoy.." he says kissing Angel's forehead. The young ghoul presses her head, gently against her loving boos chest, as they let themselves flow along the music and the feeling filled with love surrounding them.
Slowly, more snow starts falling down from the dark night sky, creating a new layer of white, soft and cold beauty on the older snow.
The night passes by, without worries about it getting late or needing to be back home. But finally, Stretch and Angel reach their limit of staying up, once the clock hits 3am.
The two hold eachother tightly, as they fly to get some food on their way home.
They stop by a pizza place, and order a kebab and chicken roll. Once receiving their foods, they continue back home, and make their way into the kitchen, trying to be as quiet as possible.
Sitting down at the table silently, not even one word is exchanged, and all that can be heard is the two ghosts feasting for their unexplainable hunger that surprised them during dancing.
Casper flies through the kitchen, on his way to his room to sleep, "You two came back already?" He smiles to them.
Angel smirks and nods, "Ya see.. we're so old that we can't keep up all night, especially yer Uncle here.." she teasingly points at Stretch.
The tall male almost jumps up on his seat out of a playful shock. "Me?!" Old???" He gestures, in disbelief of what he has just heard. "I'll have ya know I'm as young as ever!" He claims proudly to his gal and nephew.
Casper chuckles and shakes his head good naturedly, "Well.. good night you guys" he smiles and waves to the two before leaving them to eat.
Once they have both finished their late night snack, Stretch carries Angel to her room, trying to get to bed as soon as possible, "Ya know, next time we come home this late, ya can carry me to bed.." he winks teasingly to Angel who chuckles quietly.
They get to her room, and morph back to their normal outfitless selves, sliding into the cool covers of the bed.
Stretch lays comfortably on his back, and Angel cuddles up on him, laying on her stomach, with one leg slightly lifted up for comfort. She wraps her arms slightly around him, and kisses him good night, "I love ya, Stretch.." she smiles before closing her eyes.
"I love ya too, Angel.." Stretch smiles as well, staying wake for a little while, looking at the darkness surrounding the bed and them. He still has trouble believing for everything to be true. But not long after, sleep wins and Stretch tiredly falls into deep slumber where he'll dream of him and his loved one for yet another night.
Once the morning arrives and the sun has made it's way back up to the sky even if for only few hours, the residents of Whipstaff have gathered down for breakfast and to plan out for Christmas.
"We're going ta need a BIG ham! At least like.. 15kg!" Angel grins teasingly. Fatso joins her, "Yeah, and we need a sack or at least two of potatoes!" He smirks and nods to Angel.
Stinkie waves his hand, wanting to suggest as well, "Yes, Stinkie?" Dr. Harvey looks up from the list he is making for shopping. "Blue cheese!" He licks his lips.
"I'll get on that train too! We need blue cheese ta put on gingerbreads" the blonde ghoul points out and smiles. Few seconds pass and she notices everyone's confused expressions, that they look at her with. "What?" She asks, "It's really good!". Stretch tries Angel's forehead with his hand, "Ya alright, babe? Ya feeling like ya might have fever or somethin'?" He looks at her worriedly. Angel shakes her head, "Ya will see.. it's really good.." she mumbles.
Dr. Harvey starts sweating slightly, "Uhm.." he clears his throat, "I hate to break it to you guys, but I don't think they sell hams anymore.." he explains carefully.
Stretch raises an eyebrow, "Well then we'll go spook up one ourselves!" He starts to get up from the chair he has been sitting on.
"Or how about I'll go to the market, and get the biggest ham they have?" He sounds nervous as he starts rushing to his car.
"Ya dun see him run everyday.." The tallest male ghost grins and sips his coffee.
Kat rolls her eyes as her and Casper leave the kitchen, and Fatso starts making his way out as well, "I'll go finish packing up presents!" He says, pushing his chair back under the table.
"I'll be in the library, watching the fire and reading, if y'all need me.." she smiles and kisses Stretch before leaving as well.
Soon, the only ones left in the kitchen are Stretch and Stinkie. The buckteeth ghost leans agaisnt the table, "So.. what did ya get for yer ghoul for Christmas, hm?" He raises an curious eyebrow. "I.. I ain't got her nothing.." he admits shamefully.
"Didn't ya learn nothing from ma and dad?" He shakes his head. Stretch thinks for a bit, "I did learn that if ya dun treat yer gal right, it won't last very long.." he says feeling melancholic.
Stinkie rolls his eyes, "That's not what I meant!" He slaps his older brother on the back of his head, "I meant remember how dad used to get ma amazing gifts?" He explains.
"Like jewelry and flowers..? But didn't it always seem like he wuz apologizing or hidin' something.." Stretch starts to fall back into his thoughts.
Stinkie sighs, "I'm just saying get her something she likes.." he advices.
"So like jewelry..?" Stretch scratches the back of his head. "Ya should know her da best.. she's yer ghoulfriend.." the buckteeth ghost looks at his brother in disbelief.
Stretch rests his head against his hand, "I know, I know.. all the gals always just left so quickly.. I never had the time to get 'em anything so I never got the practice.." he says feeling down.
"And ya think, that Angel's gonna leave as well..?" Stinkie's expression softens as he starts to seem to understand Stretch better.
The tall male ghost nods, "I dun wanna lose her.. I love her..". Stinkie pats him on the back trying to comfort him, "I don't think she'd leave ya.. she probably couldn't even be dragged away without her fighting.." Stinkie starts to smile slightly, "She clearly loves ya a lot.." he looks at his older brother encouragingly. Stretch smiles to his buckteeth brother, "Thanks, Stink..".
"Now go get yer gal the best present she could ever ask for!" Stinkie send Stretch out.
Rest of they days pass quickly, no one even notices how the time flies by.
And finally, it is Christmas morning.
"YALL WAKE UP!!" Angel shouts as she flies into the main hall of Whipstaff, "ITS CRHISTMAS!!" She screams excitedly as she spirals from level of the floor all the way up to the ceiling.
Soon, she is joined by her boo, who smiles warmly as he flies to her, "Morning, babe.." he takes a loving hold of her.
"Someone's in a good mood, huh.." she smirks lovingly.
"Oh, won't ya look at that.. a mistletoe.." Stretch smirks while holding a mistletoe at the end of a string, tied to the tip of his tail, as he proceeds to lean in to kiss his ghoul passionately. As they pull away from the kiss slowly, they can soon hear Stinkie joining them. "Merry STINKING Christmas!" He shouts while flying through a cloud of his green, and foul breath. Casper and Kat enter the room, with Fatso now eating the leftover gingerbreads, "Morning and Merry Christmas ya guys!" The young boy says happily as ever.
"I can't believe it's already Christmas.." Angel sighs dreamily.
The big wooden front door of Whipstaff opens up, and Dr. Harvey kicks snow off his boots before stepping inside, "Are we ready to go sledding?" He smiles with his cheeks glowing red as apples from the freezy weather outside.
Angel flies to a coat hanger, grabbing her pink and green mittens, and wrapping her violet and blue striped scarf around her neck, "Ready!" She grins.
Later, as they get to the sledding hill, they can see the place fully crowded. A small kiosk is open, that is selling warm grilled sausages and coffee, warm juice, hot chocolate and other things to keep you warm and going.
Kat and Casper straight away head for the top of the hill to sled down, as Dr. Harvey goes to buy some hot coffee for himself.
The Ghostly trio and Angel instead, decide to occupy themselves by scaring fleshies in honor of Christmas. They decide to split for more effective results and everyone flies in different directions.
People gather together, and many others rush to see what is so interesting. When they get there, they are to find a beautiful young blonde, handing out presents packed in pretty papers and decorative strings. She hands them out, wishing people Merry Christmas, and they keep going without any questions. Soon she runs out of presents and apologizes, promising to be back later after Christmas.
Bit further away, a young couple turn the box up and down, wondering what's inside.
The male shakes the box, and it ends up exploding covering them in pink, glittery slime now being all over him and his girlfriend. But this is only the start for a chain reaction. All of the 20+ packages soon explode covering the people close in the slime.
The blonde laughs, holding her stomach, "Did I not mention I wanted ta make something of my own fa tha packages??" She asks, as she morphs back into her ghost form, "Have a SPOOKY Christmas ya fleshsacks!" Angel grins widely, revealing two lines of knife sharp teeth.
The people react in different ways, by fainting, gagging and screaming in terror.
At the bottom of the hill, right next to the path where you can climb up on top of the hill, a nice looking buckteeth elf is standing, offering people candy, and asking if they have been smelly or nice.
Two girls walk past him and he offers them candies, "Have ya goils been smelly or nice?" He winks to the now confused girls.
The shorter of the two raises an eyebrow, "If I know at all, we take care of our hygiene and don't smell bad.." she claims proudly.
The elf looks down, "Well that can be easily fixed!" He shouts with an evil smirk and burps out a large, green cloud with the smell of a garbage dump with several weeks old rotten foods. The girls do their best to run away from the smell, but end up stumbling on their on feet and falling to the snow covered ground, leaving Stinkie laugh now feeling satisfied with his scare.
At the top of the hill, a small stand is full of rubber gliders up for renting in case you don't have your own. Group of men come to rent gliders for themselves, and they get to pick themselves. Once they have paid, they head for the sledding part.
The first two slide down and sound to be having a lot of fun. Now it is the turn for the next two men, who sit down on the gliders.
Other one of the men has a basic swimming ring style glider, and the other one has one that seems to be some kind of an ugly bird according to his words. They start sliding down, and at first everything goes smoothly, but soon the man on the bird glider starts to have problems. "Something's wrong, man.." he sounds scared as he looks over to his friend, and soon his glider turns it's head for the shock of both of the men, "Ya dun say, now do ya?" The bird glider laughs in an evil tone. Soon the man sitting on it can see two pairs of hands coming out of the glider and starting to grab onto him. He does his best to shake himself out of the hold of the gliders hands, and rolls a little bit more of the way down before stopping. The glider continues a little while down to the bottom of the hill and morphs into a tall, slim male ghost who looks around, "Who wants to go next?" He smiles widely with his teeth showing.
The kiosk has a long line in front of it, and Dr. Harvey has finally gotten his coffee. He takes a sip and enjoys the peace he has in the moment. But soon, that peace has been broken, when the kiosk grows a pair of legs, hands and eyes. It starts chasing people around, and grabbing them, throwing them into it's 'mouth' to make it seem as if it is eating the people. The kiosk lid now slaps open and closed, as the kiosk proceeds to "eat" more people.
Soon, the kiosk drops back down, and all that can be heard at first, is a loud, deep laugh.
Soon the people that ended as victims of the kiosk rush out of the door on the side, all unharmed physically but more scared and anxious.
The Ghostly trio and Angel gather together, and high five for their succesful scares.
"Y'all were great out there!" Angel hypes at the Trio of males. "Fatso, possessing that kiosk, NICE!" Stretch comments proudly.
"And did ya see how Angel's slime bombs all exploded one by one!" Stinkie laughs.
Soon the four ghosts feel a slightly judging stare at them, and as they turn around they see Dr. Harvey, "You guys clearly need to go deeper in the therapy sessions, so we can end your scaring of people." He says determindedly. "How deep?" Angel raises an eyebrow, "All tha way ta tha äsnfwäsbwkwld or just to where I find the reason I like to scare?" She demonstrates a 'crazy' person. The Trio chuckles with her as the human male shakes his head.
Arriving home an hour later, everyone is already a little bit tired, but in their luck all they need to wait for now in order to eat, is the ham to be fully cooked.
They decide to make themselves some hot chocolate, adding some marshmallows and take out a board game or two.
A round of Monopoly is going well, except for Stretch, who keeps stopping on everyone elses property whether he likes it or not.
He ends up on Angel's property, and he gulps nervously as he looks up to her, "Welcome ta MotelAngel, one night stay will be 3525$, please pay upfront!" She announces festiviely.
"3500$?!?" Stretch asks, almost fainting up, "Uhh... could I partly pay ya in nature?" He tries to sneak his way out of it so he won't lose the last of his money, but Angel sticks to it for her wish to win the whole game.
Stretch pays Angel, still staying a little short, but he gets forgiven by his loving ghoul, and soon, Casper announces that it is time to eat!
The table is so full of all delicious Christmas foods and treats, that the table can hardly stand up.
Everyone sits down, and Stretch puts on the reindeer horns, to please Angel who happily nods to him.
Dr. Harvey cuts pieces of the ham for everyone to take and the plates are full to the edges. There's ham, potatoes in two different forms, breads, wine, milk, fish, gingerbreads, blue cheese and several other foods wished for by the residents. Dr. Harvey decides to make a toast for the family, that has now grown and he gets up, "I would like to make a toast" he smiles. "Tha toaster is right there, so go ahead.." Angel grins teasingly. Everyone at the table starts laughing, including Dr. Harvey.
Once everyone has calmed back down, the man takes his wine glass, "I would like to make a toast, for the addition in this big family we all form, Angel has brought a lot of light and laughter to this house, and she has clearly had a positive affect on all three of you" he says referring to the Trio, "Especially you, Stretch, you have grown as a ghost since Angel arrived and I am proud to say I am your therapist." He smiles warmly, "Cheers, for the family!" He says raising his glass. Everyone raises their glasses as well, "Or, 'Kippis!' as we say in Finland!" Angel winks. "Kipis!" Everyone else say at their best skill.
They continue eating the amazing foods, and make sure their stomachs are full before moving on to sharing the presents.
Casper decides to be the little gift boy, and hand out the presents to everyone, sitting on the couch, floor and air.
Once the presents have been all handed to everyone, Stretch wants to go first.
He opens the three packages, receiving a bottle of whiskey and a box of fine cigars from Angel, a red and black scarf from Casper and a decorative gun in a show box from Dr. Harvey.
He actually shows gratitude to Casper and the man, which surpsises both of them, not to speak of the loving look he shares with Angel.
Stinkie opens up his presents, to find a jar of expired, soggy and lumpy milk that Angel had gotten for him, a parfyme made out of rotten fish juice from his two brothers and a mouthwash, from Dr. Harvey of course.
Kat smirks, "Dad, you do realize he won't use it.." she teases both of them. Dr. Harvey chuckles good naturedly, "It's worth a shot!".
Angel suggests that Fatso opens his next, and he gently and carefully takes out the wrapping paper, to reveal a box of chocolates from Angel, bakery cookies from his nephew and a healthy cook book from Dr. Harvey, who nods approvingly.
Casper gets his turn next and finds what he had wished for, a new updated detective set from Angel, Dr. Harvey and Kat, along with a book called "How to Scare 101" from his three uncles, "Ya can use being a bookworm for dat!" Stretch smirks.
Dr. Harvey and Kat get to theirs and are pleased with the presents. Dr. Harvey receives a new notebook from Angel, and pack of new pencils from his daughter Kat and Casper.
Kat receives a few new shirts, picked out by Angel, who Kat is now very grateful to, school supplies from her father, and a painting made of her and Casper, from Casper. She smiles to them, and thanks everyone.
Everyone now finally turns to Angel, who looks surprised, "Wait.. is it.. my turn already..?" She blushes deeply. She takes a deep breath and starts carefully opening the presents. Kat has bought her a new, lavender shade dress with sparkles on it, Casper has gotten her drawing supplies like pencils, sketchbook and some markers. Next one she opens, contains a new book from Dr. Harvey, and he has picked a good one, scary but yet romantic story. Stinkie and Fatso smile to her as she opens the present containing her favorite chocolate box, and finally, she gets to her boos presents. She looks at Stretch, "Ya didn't have ta get me anything, ya know.." she smiles lovingly to him.
"I still would like to know what ya think.." he encourages her with a smile. The blonde ghoul proceeds to open the biggest one of her presents, and inside she finds matching diamond necklace and earrings, baking book with over 200 recipes and a ghost night light. She rushes to hug Stretch tightly, "Thank ya so so much, Stretch.." she tears up, "Thanks so much ta all of ya!" She smiles gratefully to everyone.
Stretch offers to help the necklace on her so she can try it out right away, and it fits as if it was made just for her.
Everyone says big thank you to eachother for all the wonderful presents and a succesful Christmas has been spent in the dark and mighty Whipstaff manor.
Now everyone can start looking forawrd to the New Year, that will be here in only few days.
