Y/n's POV
Two months.
Two more excruciating months.
Still no sign of Cleo, and no word from the guys. I've become accustomed to sleeping on my own again, but it's not the same.
It's like something is eating away at me.
Like something is wrong.
Something is missing.
But at least I can actually get to sleep. I throw my legs over the side of my bed and sit up, trying to adjust from the sudden movement. I rub my eyes and walk out the door, making my way downstairs and into the living room where the rest of the house already sat, watching the television intensely.
"Woah, what's going on here?" I ask, noticing how everyone's eyes were glued to the screen, mouths slightly opened as the news channel played.
After receiving no answer, I look at the television myself and find myself in the same state as the rest of the girls. Eyes wide and jaw dropped.
"Breaking news! Last night, the most notorious gang in Los Santos is said to have been arrested! The Vanoss Crew, also known as the Banana Bus Squad, was caught up in a gunfight at a local nightclub. Police managed to corner them, reportedly arresting 18 individuals. Moreover, after an attempted breakout, 13 more individuals have been arrested, 2 gangs known as the Misfits and the Sidemen. Officials are holding back on identity revelation to prevent riot outbreaks. The streets of Los Santos are much safer to say the least."
I dropped on the couch, not believing my eyes or ears. The guys aren't that stupid, they wouldn't get themselves caught. And the Misfits and the Sidemen, they wouldn't be so idiotic as to get themselves busted while breaking the others out.
Right?
Men.
"Y/n? I think you're gonna want to see this." Hannah's voice dragged me out of my mind and focused my attention back on the screen where the reporter was talking about how the guys are going to be moved into solitary confinement as soon as possible.
But something else caught my eye.
Footage of the arrest was being played in the background and as the guys held their hands up in surrender, they all balled up one hand and put their thumbs under their pointer fingers.
A T in sign language.
They were asking for help.
I quickly stood up and beckoned the girls to follow me to our missions room.
"What're you doing? You can't seriously consider helping them!" Leann bellowed, stopping everyone in their tracks.
"And why not?" I ask, crossing my arms.
"Y/n, they tossed us like yesterday's leftovers. They haven't reached out to us in months. They only do it now because they need help? Because they fucked up and got into some shit? Y/n, they're the reason we lost Cleo. You can't just rush in to save them because your little boyfriend is there."
I shook my head and walked into the mission room, everyone following. I began gathering blueprints we collected of the prison and markers to plan our mission as I responded to her.
"Leann, this isn't about him. They're asking for help. Vanoss had every right to throw us out. He was mad and if I was in his position, I probably would've done the same. As for Cleo, that was no one's fault. And we haven't given up yet. We will find her. Now, they're asking for help. I'm not one to hold grudges. They're asking, I'm providing. Now are you with me or not?" I asked, holding out a marker.
She looks at the marker, then at me, then back at the marker as she sighs and grabs it, moving to unfold the blueprint over the table. I smile and move to the head of the table, in front of the girls.
"Well for starters, we should save them during the lunch and recreational period, it's the only time they won't be split up. We also need to do this ASAP, as in, today. It's probably the only chance we'll get before they're moved to solitary." Leann explained.
Wendy grabbed the marker from her and began breaking down the map. "Being a police trainee, I know this place like the back of my hand. Entrances, exits, air ducts, you name it, I know it." She smirked, circling points and labeling rooms and such.
"I'll get my equipment, I have a lot of security precautions I need to shut down when we get there." Hannah adds, running off.
We continued to build a plan as fast as we could, knowing that as soon as it was done, we would need to execute it.
After and hour and a half, we finalized the plan and got ready.
I hopped in the back of the truck, seeing everyone else already here, suited up and masks on, ready to go.
"Alright then, let's go save these dumbasses."
•
Step one.
Misfits.
Since the Misfits aren't as high on the radar as the Vanoss Crew or the Sidemen, we're busting them out first to help with the overall extraction.
Plus, these guys know how to cause a diversion.
The girls all split up, some camouflaging with the staff and others on the out skirts of the prison, waiting for my cue. It was my job to get the misfits out.
I glance through glass panes which also had bars bolted on and made sure to stay out of sight from security cameras. I finally found the hall that contained the misfits.
They were spread out amongst 3 cells. I smirked to myself and pulled a utility knife from my belt, flicking a screw driver head up and unscrewed the bolts holding the bars. Once those were off, I placed a suction cup on the glass and pulled out a mini laser gun, designed by yours truly.
I made a small circle around the suction then pulled the glass out, giving myself an open window. The guard was the last thing to check off. I pulled out a tranquilizer dart and a blow gun, loading it then taking out the guard quietly. I felt the rush as the unconscious body hit the floor.
'Man I haven't done this in a while.'
I used my laser gun to make a larger hole in the glass for me to fit through before pushing it through and laying it softly on the floor. First, I grabbed the keys the guard had on his belt, then I looked at my surroundings and noticed the cell closest to me contained two Misfits already.
Zuckles and McCreamy. Mason and Jay.
I smiled and walked up to the cell, leaning my elbows on the bars. Neither of them moved, Mason was still laying down staring at the ceiling and Jay seemed to be sitting up and staring at the wall. They think they're screwed.
"So, what're you two in for?" I asked, my voice laced with sarcasm. Both of their heads snapped to me at the sound of my voice. "Alpha?"
I giggled and nodded, flipping the keys around my finger as I searched for the one with their cell number. They both jumped up and ran towards me, squeezing the bars anxiously.
"What're you doing here?" Jay asked, looking around frantically. I finally found the key and unlocked their cell, swinging the doors open. They engulfed me in a tight hug before pulling away and looking at me for an answer.
"We came for you guys. All of you."
They smiled graciously and grabbed my hands, leading me to the other 2 cells with the other 4 misfits. They all had the same anxious and relief-filled looks on their faces when they saw me.
"It's so good to see you Y/n." Fitz whispered, hugging me gingerly. I hugged him back tightly and responded, "You didn't think I would leave you, did you?"
He just chuckled and ruffled my hair. "There's no time to explain, back-up will be here any second so we need to get outside, now." I said, immediately becoming more serious. The guys all nodded and ran back to the window from which I came.
Once we reached outside, I lead the guys back to our vehicle, once again avoiding all security precautions which is way easier said than done. Back at the truck, Hannah and I explained our plan to the guys.
"Ok, all prisoners will be released for lunch and recreation in about 15 minutes, so we need to move fast. About a minute or two after release, we need you guys to pinpoint all guards and distract them, cover us while we catch the prisoners attentions. We just need to make sure we aren't gunned down before the guys even notice us. Sound good?"
I explained as Hannah handed the the guys temporary masks, ones that look exactly like ours, except black, earpieces, and guns. They all nodded, listening tentatively, prepared to do what they must. I nodded in return and dismissed them, giving them each a position to cover.
"Ok Hannah, on my cue, lock down the building then cut the electricity." She nods and gets back in the van, typing away and waiting patiently.
I scanned the perimeter of the buildings, trying to memorize my surroundings before jumping on the roof of a guard tower, sneakily taking out the guard before waiting for lunch.
"Alpha, it's a go, lunch time. Over."
"Copy that, Epsilon, you're on in 5. Over."
"Got it boss, over and out."
I watched as the prisoners began filing out of the building, some looking more weak and fragile than expected. I watched intensely, hoping all BBS and Sidemen members would make their way out outside before lockdown.
I scanned over each of them, no masks in sight, they looked like ordinary prisoners, that's when I saw his face.
Delirious.
Relief washed over me. Relief I hadn't realized I had been craving.
"Alpha, come in Alpha." Jamilyne's voice broke me out of my thoughts.
"Go for Alpha."
"I did a headcount, they're all here, but we need to move now, there isn't much time left. Over."
"You got it Gamma. Epsilon, Misfits, that's you guys. Over and out." I responded before jumping to a lower ledge, closer to the prison yard.
I got low, noticing some of the guards in other towers dropping. The misfits are doing well. I noticed three guards standing in the yard itself, we couldn't take them out until the others are gone for sure, it would at least buy us some more time.
"Alpha, all surrounding tower animals are down, move on to courtyard fuckers?" Swagger calls through the earpiece. I chuckle at his hostility.
"Go for it."
Three shots rang out, catching the attention of the entire prison yard as the three guards dropped dead.
One man stood up, a sort of posse forming behind him as he made his way over to the BBS and Sidemen.
"So, you guys think you're big and bad huh? Well the guards are gone now, I don't know why and I don't know for how long, but it'll only take me a minute to show you guys who runs things around here."
"Oh really? Let's see what you got big man." KSI stepped forward, flexing his arms and getting in the guy's face.
I rolled my eyes.
Men, always trying to prove their masculinity.
I sat on the edge of the building, holding my gun lazily in one hand and fake yawning. "Ough, these dog fights always bore me." I say loudly, stretching my arms dramatically as all the attention falls on me.
I hear whispers fall amongst the crowd. Mostly things along the lines of, "Is that Alpha?" and "What the fuck is she doing here?" and of course, "The pack has been MIA for months, what changed?".
The BBS and Sidemen all looked at me, seeming shocked. "Oh don't give me that look, as if we wouldn't come save your sorry asses."
Silence fell among the crowd as all the prisoners turned to look at the gangs amongst them.
"She's here for you?" Buff guy asks, spitting as he spoke. I rolled my eyes yet again and hopped down, landing perfectly on my feet and moving to stand in between tough guy and my guys.
"Of course. Who else would I be here for? Oh, and I can promise you, these guys will hand you your ass on a stick if you really wanna fuck with them."
A chuckle came from behind me. "Took you long enough."
I turned to see a face I haven't seen in ages.
"Delirious."
The joy in my tone was obvious as I turned to him, handing my gun to Terroriser and hugging Jon tightly. "Hey babe."
The other prisoners seemed shocked. "Babe?"
Delirious just smirked and looked at them, tilting his head slightly. "Yeah? What's it to you?"
"Y-you're, you're dating the most dangerous, badass woman in Los Santos."
Suddenly, a different voice spoke up. A familiar one. "Yeah yeah, clocks ticking, time to go kids." I chuckled as Wendy spoke, hopping down from her own tower, the Misfits following behind her as Leann, Jamilyne, Kacey, Macey, and Hannah all pulled up next to the wired fence with different vehicles, capable of holding all of us.
I whistled and the Misfits pushed prisoners back, using their guns as a threat to make space. I turned to Jamilyne's car and gave her a nod. She smirked before ramming into the gate, dropping it flat.
I finally turned to the guys and motioned towards the vehicles.
"Time to go."
