Xiao Xingchen looked up even though all he saw was darkness.
"K-kid?!"
"Xiao Xingchen it was successful..." Xue looked at him and saw blood dripping down. Xue Yang looked and wiped his face off and started to help Xiao Xingchen to the bed nearby. After doing so he went to sit on a robe and sat down.
"Xue..." Xiao Xingchen said, looking in his direction.
"Yes..."
"Why why didn't you say anything earlier?"
"I had to take care of A-Qing and then Song Lan came and I felt so sick! I didn't know what to do!"
"Xue Yang take a minute and calm down... I'm sorry for yelling at you. I just didn't know what was going on. I'm so sorry..."
"It's ok. Can we go out and eat the cake?"
Xiao Xingchen nodded and the two changed clothes and went out to see A-Qing and Song Lan looking at Xue with a worried look. A-Qing walked up and hugged Xue Yang. Xue Yang wasn't happy with it but wasn't mad and hugged back and then turned to Song Lan and sat down.
"I wanted to apologize to both of you. And yes. Yes I um. Am pregnant..." Xue Yang smiled and Song Lan smiled, pulling a gift out and handing it to Xue. Xue Yang looked down a bit scared and opened it wanting to cry.
"Song..."
Inside was baby shoes and a bow. Both were just blue but there was also pink Incase of a girl.
"I knew. I mean it was obvious wasn't it?"
"W-what do you mean?" Xue Yang was confused and looked down.
"Right there. You looked at your tummy and your hands have been placed on your tummy a lot and you being sick isn't all that new but you've actually had morning sickness..."
"So are you a doctor?"
They all laughed and got cake. Song Lan and A-Qing left to get some sleep while Xiao Xingchen and Xue Yang turned to each other and then went to lay in bed.
"Xue Yang. Do you think the kid is a boy or girl?"
"Xiao I really don't know. I mean it seems like it would be a boy. Uh... I hate feeling like I need to puke all the time." As Xue Yang finished Xiao found his stomach and started to rub it.
"Any better?"
"Uh... it's ok. I'm ok." Xue Yang gave a laugh and started to fall asleep.
It wasn't long before he had to go and move around. Although he felt sick he thought maybe going outside would be good. He set on his long robe and walked outside and had his motherly instinct kick in and had his hands over his stomach. He turned outside to see a dark figure. Xue Yang looked and realized it was Song Lan.
"S-Song Lan?"
"Yep?" Song Lan said looking outside.
"Why are you out?"
"Oh just wondering. Anyways why are you out?"
"My stomach is hurting but also Xiao Xingchen takes up so much room!"
Song Lan gave a chuckle and moved close.
"Have you ever looked at the snow and wondered how pretty it is. It's so bright and-"
"It's like sound proofing."
"Yes it is." Song Lan turned and gave Xue Yang a look. He saw how gentle he was at that moment. How soft and chill he was. Song Lan turned and went inside.
"Have a good night Xue Yang." He said before leaving.
Xue turned and nodded and looked around. He slowly rubbed his stomach and thought.
"You making my tummy hurt you know that little one. And it doesn't help when your father is taking up half the bed in the middle of the night..." Xue Yang looked at the sky. The moon was hidden behind clouds. Xue Yang moved inside and looked at the bed with Xiao Xingchen now sitting up.
"Xiao Xingchen?"
"Sorry I thought you must have left because I kicked you out I'm so sorry..." Xue smiled and set a hand on his shoulder and laid down.
"I love you..." he said before falling asleep.
