"Y/n!" Someone is shaking my arm. "You need to stay awake!"
I groan and try to sit up. Just until I get pushed down. I open my eyes to Minho leaning over me.
"Feels like déjà vu to me, doesn't it?" He smirks.
"What happened?" I look up at him, confused.
"You passed out from the blood loss in your leg and then you passed out a second time right in front of me and Winston. You asked me how far you ran," he finishes, looking up at me expectantly.
"And where am I now?"
"Still in the woods, we managed to get your leg to stop bleeding. Thank Winston for that one."
I look around and find another boy, apparently Winston, looking at my leg.
"Thanks," I mumble. "Now can you help get me back to the Glade?"
I try to sit up again, but Minho pushes me back down.
"Actually, we can't do that," he starts. "Unless you promise me something."
"What," I sigh angrily.
"Why won't you even consider being a mapper?"
"I'm not telling you until he leaves," I nod toward Winston.
"Is that-" Winston starts.
"Go," Minho tells him. "I'll meet you back at homestead."
Winston leaves and I take a deep breath, "I really want to be a runner and if I am not able to make the cut for being a runner, then why would I want to be surrounded by the thing that I am not good enough to do?"
Minho nods and stands up, "let's get you back to the med-jacks."

"Y/n!" Newt runs up to me and one of the med-jacks.
"I don't want to talk to you," I growl and walk the other way.
Why would I want to talk to him? He rejected me.
"Y/n! Wait!" Newt yells.
"No! Why would I want to talk to you?" I scream and run toward homestead.
Newt's yells follow me all the way to the front porch.
"Y/n," Alby steps onto the front porch. "I thought you weren't feeling well."
"I needed fresh air, so I went for a walk in the woods," I lie. "I got cut pretty badly and had to go to the med-jack's place to get bandaged up."
Alby nods, apparently convinced by my lie, "just get some rest for tomorrow, you have to make up the time you lost today."
I nod and head straight for my bedroom.
These next weeks are going to be very long.
