Madara gazed down to the stage and watched as Y/n and Kurenai spoke off to the side before she took her spot at center stage. He could tell she was nervous, but he knew she'd do great once she started singing. He turned his dark eyes to watch his brother and the Senjus as her voice filled their ears. Madara had chosen the set, had Kurenai cut the music to suit the style that Y/n would sing in, and sent it to Y/n last week. Madara smirked as Izuna's eyes seemed to soften at hearing her sing, though he wouldn't let his brother harm Y/n anymore.
The first song, well, all the songs he chose were likely going to raise questions. Madara didn't care though. When Madara thought of his relationship with Y/n, this song came to mind immediately. He could sense the turmoil, only assume at the fighting that was to come, and he wouldn't let her leave, ever. She was his, and his alone, and he'd make sure everyone knew it.
(Love the way you lie)
When she had seen the setlist Y/n almost dropped it. It was like a slap to the face and she didn't know how to react. The first song was all too telling as to what Madara thought of her. As the list went on, her chest became tighter and tighter with worry and fear. The second song came and she tried to not think of Obito, but she couldn't help it.
(Bliss)
She wasn't sure what made Madara pick this song, but she was in fact right, it was Madara's way of making Obito see that he couldn't have Y/n, no matter how hard he tried. But the songs only got worse as the set went on.
Madara scanned the crowd and spotted his nephew who was trying to tuck away to not be seen. Madara was curious if Y/n knew he was still here, watching her in awe. Obito's expression was shared by the Senju bothers as well, most of the restaurant shared the expression actually. The songs so far weren't really what you would expect for her to sing, but she made them work, and they sounded beautiful. The third song struck Obito and he was not happy at all.
(It's not you)
When the third song hit Obito's ears, he knew Madara was the one who picked them all. He wondered what the final two would be. He had been upset when Y/n wouldn't tell him what the songs were beforehand, now he knew why. Even though the songs stung for him to hear, he also couldn't stop listening. A true siren, snaring him and all those around him in her song. She made him feel as though he was the only one in the crowded venue as if he was at a private concert for him and him alone.
Maybe you wouldn't call it irony, but it was exactly how Madara felt as well. These rock ballads were turned into tender love songs in his ears. The melody slowed down and caressing him tenderly. Izuna noticed this shift in Madara as they listened to her sing. It was now that Izuna realized that Madara truly was tangled into her net she had cast out and he had to think fast at how to pull his brother back in. Or, perhaps he could let him flail around aimlessly as he drowned in the deep waters she lived in.
The fourth song, one that would likely make anyone who knew of her relationship stop and think. Another rock song, but sang at its original tempo and melody. It was actually a song that Y/n loved, so she let herself get lost in the song itself as she belted the words for the room to hear. Chills rose up her back as goosebumps covered her arms and legs as she sang. Obito felt the same sudden chill caress his skin as her voice drifted into his mind and this was a moment he would never forget.
(Under your scars)
Tobirama had no idea where the emotion came from that she poured into this song but even he was rendered speechless as he listened to her. He glanced over to Madara and noted the deep admiration he held for the woman below. His eyes jumped to Hashirama and he couldn't help but chuckle softly at seeing the expression on his brother's face, it was pure shock.
Hashirama wasn't sure he's ever been so moved by anything in his life. This woman was incredible. He's managed to keep his words, and hands, to himself when she was near, but he wasn't sure it would be able to anymore. He could see why Madara wanted to keep her all to himself now but he wondered if his old friend would be willing to let him have a night alone with her, even if it was simply to hear her sing like this again.
The final song, the one she dreaded and looked forward to the most was up. Out of all times for her to finally notice Obito, it was now. Their eyes locked just as the song began and she didn't break eye contact as she began to sing. She watched Obito's face shift from wonder to disappointment, then, she saw his eyes light up just a little as he seemed to realize the song struck something deep within her.
(Familiar taste of Poison)
The song made her think of her love for Obito and her relationship with Madara. It made her analyze herself and her life, her choices, and her wrongdoings. At first, she thought she had managed to lock away her feelings and let things go when she knew Obito was with Rin. She thought she could truly insert herself in this role as Madara's lover and bring down the crime families here, in Suna and in Kiri. As the weeks went on, she was finding it harder and harder to ignore her feelings.
She was in love with Obito and dating Madara, so she again poured herself into this song and let everyone feel her emotions. Madara also felt the same tear in his heart at hearing her sing this song again. When they were alone it was beautiful and almost melancholy in its emotion. This time he could almost feel the sadness within her as she held his nephew's entranced eyes across the room below him.
Izuna watched as Madara saw the lovers, unbeknownst to them, have a silent exchange during her final song. It was also in its original tempo and she belted the lyrics as if it was a final prayer to whichever god she chose to worship. She was given a standing ovation below and the four males above her clapped as well. Y/n let a smile play on her lips and cut her eyes to Madara before turning to smile up at him and give him a small bow directly.
She moved backstage and sighed in relief that I was all over, for the week, at least. She couldn't believe she would be forced to do this every week. She would be making her own playlist though, she would discuss that with Madara tonight. Y/n thanked Kurenai and they exchanged numbers before Y/n headed to the back stairs that lead up to Madara.
Madara pulled his phone from his pocket and sent a message before tucking it away again. The four males were rather quiet as Madara walked to pour himself and Y/n a drink. Izuna pulled his own phone on and seemed engrossed in whatever lit up his screen. Hashirama moved to speak to Tobirama for a moment and none of the males noticed Y/n enter the room this time.
Y/n watched the men as they seemed lost in their own world and her eyes settled on Madara. She was emotional now, and she wanted to find comfort somewhere, she was willing to settle for his arms if necessary. She was curious about what life would've been like if her heart hadn't chosen Obito so easily. She walked to Madara and wrapped her arms around his waist and pressed her cheek to his shoulder blade. Madara placed his hands over hers as he looked in his reflection and noticed the other occupant's eyes on them.
The door opened and he saw Obito enter and scan the room. As the door closed behind Obito Y/n jumped slightly but didn't pull away. Madara observed his nephew's actions as he went to Izuna and spoke quietly for a moment. He guided Y/n around to stand before him and kissed her in a tender yet harsh manner. Y/n knew it was a sign of possession and emotion and let him do as he pleased. When Madara pulled away she smiled up at him sweetly.
"Obito will take you home," she blinked curiously at Madara and he continued, "the four of us have things to discuss, and I'm sure you're tired, my love." Madara had noticed Obito approaching and made sure he heard his words.
Obito stopped close by, close enough to hear but not to be intrusive, "You asked for me?" He wasn't sure what his uncle wanted, but he was sure it wasn't good.
Madara lifted his hand to wave Obito closer, so the others wouldn't hear. Obito stepped closer and Madara finally spoke, "Take her to the mansion, her rooms," Y/n continued to hold that penetrating look of Madara's as he addressed Obito, "I'll be late tonight."
"I can stay-"
"No," Madara corrected, "you should rest." He caressed her cheek.
"Then I'll wait up for you in the billiard room," she smiled softly, "or I can wait-"
Madara's hand gripped her face roughly, "You'll do as I say," when she didn't answer he finished, "this is the last night you'll be fucking anyone that isn't me."
Madara rather harshly let go of Y/n, making her l stumble back into the bar behind her. Obito reached out to her and kept her upright. Obito and Y/n watched as Madara moved to Izuna without another word. Izuna's face held a knowing smirk and Y/n was terrified suddenly. She tried to keep an indifferent expression on her face, but she wasn't sure if she had succeeded at all. Obito was worried but he had managed to school his face as he lead her from the room.
That night would be where things took a turn for the worse, for all of them.
