" Well..., " I ask waiting for a explanation. She's been staring at the phone for a while without saying a word and she looks surprised.
I can't believe that she did that to me! I know we were not in any kind of relationship but I feel like she led me on and made me fall for her. I hate to say it, but I can't stop thinking about her no matter how hard I try. Am now stuck with this crazy feelings that hurt like a bitch, especially now that I know she doesn't want me like I thought she did.
I've been trying to get her of my mind, telling myself that it was just lust that led me closer to her, but that's just a big lie. I don't recall at which point exactly I fell for her but, I did.
Am in love with her!
I love her more than I have ever loved anyone in my life! I mean with Stacy, it's was all about fun and sex. I thought she was the one for me and i almost lost my self while trying to please her by fulfilling all her desires. Am glad that my eyes were opened by her betrayal.
Stacy gave me what I wanted but vee has exactly what I need. She makes me feel like i can be myself around her unlike Stacy whom I had to act a certain way with. She makes me feel so good when am with her in so many ways, without even laying her hands on me. And, it's so fucking crazy what just the sound of her voice does to me.I mean, she makes me shiver everytime she says my name.
Stacy never made me feel half of what she does!
I think am totally and completely whipped!!
I've been going crazy ever since someone sent me pictures of her and George kissing. One of the pictures, shows them kissing in his office , while in the other, they are in bed , and she's comfortably lying on his chest like there's no other place she'd rather be. There is also a video, which shows her walking with George in his apartment, hand in hand acting all lovey dovey.
What does George have that I don't? I mean, why did she choose him?
And all this time I thought that she wasn't interested in him.
" How did you get this? " She asks curiously ,her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
" That doesn't matter. "
" Just answer my fucking question Alex! " she says angrily. "Who the hell sent this to you?! "
" I don't know, okay! It was sent by an unknown number and I didn't bother asking who it was " I say.
" But... this is all I lie! Nothing is going on between George and I and I've never even been to his apartment!" she says still looking at the pictures on the phone.
" So...what you are saying that all those are photoshopped?"
" Yes they are! Only the first one is real though... but I didn't kiss him. He was the one that forcefully kissed me in his office ."
" What?! George would never do that! "
" Well, he did and am so sure he's also the one who sent you the photos. "
" Why would he go through all that trouble of faking the photos and send them to me? "
" Because he's jealous! He thinks that there's something going on between us, " she says anger clear on her face.
" Did he tell you that? "
" No."
" Okay, let's pretend for a second that the photos are fake , how will you explain the video, " I ask raising a brow at her.
" I admit that the girl in the video looks just like me but she's not. Her face is not even showing clearly! "
" Oh come on! The girl doesn't only look like you, she is also wearing the same clothes you were that day."
" Am tired of explaining myself to you because it's obvious you don't believe me. And besides , Whoever I date is none of your business , it's not like I owe you any explanation. Lets just go to the hospital, before it starts raining. The weather doesn't look good. " she says, turning her head and looks out the window.
What she said hurts but she's right. I have no say in her life because am nothing to her!
The rest of the ride to the hospital is quite, with Vee to angry to even spare me a glance.
By now, I know vee enough to know that she's telling the truth. What I can't believe is that George could stoop this low!
We go straight to the doctors office when we get to the hospital and he gives us his approval to take Maya home. He also assigns a nurse for us that will take care of her and we plan the transfer for the day after tomorrow, so we could have time to prepare her room.
" I know that your apartment is big enough for all of us but there are only two bedrooms. I have no problem sleeping on the couch but what about Rita? " Vee asks as we are walking to the car.
" Don't worry about that. I have everything figured out already."
" How? " she asks curiously.
" I'll show you," I say as I open the door for her.
" Thank you, " she says sliding in.
" Am sorry I acted like a jerk. I should have shown you the pictures and heard you out first before thinking the worst of you."
" Don't worry, am used to that already and can you just drive. Am not in the mood to argue with you right now, " she says leaning on her seat.
" Okay, " I say focusing on the road. I don't want to make her more worked out than she is.
" Where are we going, Alex? " Vee asks after a thirty minutes drive of silence.
She's still angry at me and i can tell am the last person she wants to be with, right now.
" Just be patient vee. It's not like am kidnapping you or something."
" Well... It sure does feel like you are, especially when I don't know where we are going! "
" Stop fussing ,okay? We are almost there," I say and she rolls her eyes.
In ten minutes,we reach our destination.
" Wow! this place is gorgeous! ," Vee said looking out the window as i park the car and she's not wrong.
We are in my old neighborhood, which is one of the richest in the city. It has tree lined streets that give it a charming older and established feel.
It's also the most neat, quite and homely neighbourhood ever! It's a place filled good memories and a place where I hope to start my own family someday.
" Yeah.. It's amazing. I actually grew up here, " I say helping Vee out of the car.
"Really, " she say looking around. " But.. What are we doing here. "
" Well... This is going to be our new neighborhood, " I say and she looks at me confused.
" What?!
" Yes, see that, " I say pointing at a house a few feet from us. It's ours."
I can feel some rain drops falling on me and so I take vee hands leading her to the house before we are caught up in the rain.
Vee is quite taking in the scenery infront of her as we walk in the house.
"Oh my.. This place is huge, " she says as soon as we are inside.
"It's a fucking mansion!, " she says her eyes awed by everything they land on." Wait, Did you buy this house because of Maya. You know that we are only going to stay with you temporarily ,right? "
" Right, but I purchased the house about two months ago. It was going to be my wedding gift to Stacy. This was supposed to be our home, the place where I pictured us having a family and getting old together . " I say with a sigh.
" Am sorry that you didn't get to have your happy ending. But on the bright side, this house is super appealing. I love every small detail in it. I bet you bought it fully furnished because the decor is out of this world! "
" No, I actually bought and decorated everything in here, with a little help of course. I made sure that everything was in Stacy taste so she wouldn't have anything to complain about. I even got a portrait of Leornado DiCaprio and hang it in the bedroom that was going to be ours, just for her. she's crazy about that guy, just like I was crazy for her. I was so stupid," i say shakig my head .
" You weren't stupid Alex, you were stupid in love," Vee says with a small chuckle, making me smile. "Do you ever miss or think about her?
" I don't. It's funny how I thought I couldn't live with her but now don't ever want to see her again.Am kind of glad that everything happened the way it did, otherwise I'd have spent the rest of my life with a lunatic! "
" You are right about that. You really had a lucky escape, but... are you sure that you don't love her anymore? I mean, the kind of love you had for her seems to be intense," she says nervously, biting her on lower lip and just that small act makes my heart race.
" Am more than sure Vee. I already have someone else in my heart and she's my only dream and fantasy, " I say and her expression totally changes. She looks dissapointed and has this cute frown on her face and i can't help but smile. " You look so cute when you are jealous".
"What?! Am not jealous! " she says creasing her eyebrows.
" You look even cuter when you are in denial, " I say with a smirk, winking at her.
" Am not jealous, okay?! And Are you going to give me a tour of the house or not? "she says angrily walking past me.
She's so jealous and am loving it!
"Of course I am. Come, " I say falling into step with her, and take her hand.
