Mae was called a demon from the day she was born because of her having bright red eyes and a wolf tail and ears. She didn't understand why she was being tormented, but when she meets Gaara, she realises that he shares the same pain as her. They become best friends in a short matter of time, and become quite close. After a couple of years, when its Mae's 12th birthday, she is taken to the Hidden Leaf Village leaving Gaara behind who is heartbroken having his only friend leave him. After 3 months, Gaara is asked to do the Chunin exams with his brother and sister, which just so happen to be in the Hidden Leaf Village. Taking this as an opportunity, Gaara sets out to find Mae, but soon realises that she is doing the exams too! What will happen?
