Before Wonderlands x Showtime happened to him, Rui had always felt so alone (apart from when he was with either both or one of his childhood friends, of course). He was prejudiced, ignored, avoided, et cetera. He stayed quiet during class and had never spoken much to anybody in school other than the school nurse, his teachers, his friend Kusanagi Nene, his other friend Akiyama Mizuki and some of their friends. Nobody had heard too much of his voice before. His past left him scarred and insecure and his chronic disease didn't help with his depression... and neither did those rumours. But what if a specific popular sunset-haired boy were to invite him to his band and befriend him? Tsukasa, a popular highschooler known for his amazing singing voice, determination, charisma and arrogance, just so happened to stumble upon the supposed teenage arsonist (rumoured to be planning to blow up the school) at Phoenix Wonderland, singing and telling stories softly and sweetly with the help of several cute little robots to a group of little children, who all had big smiles plastered across their faces. Would he be a good recruitment for the band? Would he be a hazard to anyone? Most importantly, if any of his classmates, or ANYONE, were to catch him hanging out with Kamishiro, would his reputation falter?

(Agents 4 and 8 are referred to with They/Them pronouns so the reader can imagine them as their own playable characters!) (This is a SEQUEL to Order Up, a past Splatoon fanfic I wrote. Please read that one first, and thank you!) Two months ago, the Memverse crashed. Marina Ida, its creator, is desperate to save it! She's spent the past two months working tirelessly to restore her work in order to cure more sanitized Octarians. But someone still wants to use the Memverse to create a "perfect colorless word of order." Now that the program is weakened, Smollusk has jumped at the chance to take control. It's created it's own humanoid army called the Order Defense Force in an attempt to stop Marina and grayscale the entire world! It's up to herself, Pearl, Acht, and Agent 8 to save the Memverse a third time! Oh, and Agent 4, of course. Dragging their friend Cyrus - better known as his alias, H4CKER - along with them, Agent 4 will do everything they can to help in the name of saving lives. Team Four is back in action - whether Team Eight appreciates the help or not! (Splatoon, and the art used on the cover of course, all belong to Nintendo.)

After climbing the tower with each palette, every soul Smollusk absorbed into the Memverse were freed. Everyone is finally back to normal! "Huh? That's weird... you're not like the other enemies coded in here. Why can't I get a solid read on you? Whoa! You can talk? No, no, I can't actually hear you. But I can see lines of dialogue in your code that come and go. Crazy, right? It's like I'm reading your mind! Whoa... so "Order," the AI that runs this place, turned you into that thing? A "Parallel Canon"... Well, if that's true, you can count on me to help you get out of this crazy virtual prison. What did you say your name was? Agent 4? That doesn't sound like a real name... Amnesia, eh? That's rough. Well, maybe you'll remember once I get you outta here...Well, as long as we're using aliases, you can call me H4CKER! Hey, we both have 4's! That's how you know we'll be a good team! So, are you ready to kick some virtual butt? ... I'll take that silence as a YES!"
