Varian's father was killed by an infamous pirate named Ruby Scourge. Seeking revenge, Varian forms his own crew to go and look for her but runs into a snag when a young and flirtatious Captain Hugo and his crew intercept his ship, stealing something essential to his revenge plan. Will the two pirate captains be able to put aside their rivalry and team up to stop Ruby Scourge once and for all? Note: this story was almost named Swashbuckling Bros with Benefits. Let that sink in.

It's happily ever after, after all, but in this 'tangled' world more mysteries wait to be uncovered. When Varian finds out about his mother's scientific work and her quest to find the Eternal Library, he knows he must pick up where she left off and maybe find his own destiny along the way. This is my take on the idea of a Varian spin-off series of Tangled: The Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure. The AU was presented to Disney by storyboarders Kay Ritter and Anna Lencioni who took a liking to Varian's character and decided to create a story for him in his later years; detailing the adventures he might go on and the friends he makes along the way. I'll likely take a lot of inspiration from other fans too and I think that's what's great about vat7k, we all inspire each other with our ideas! :) This is probably gonna be a long one, hope you enjoy!! Varian and the Seven Kingdoms, but from Hugo's perspective.

Starting at a brand-new college after being expelled from his last, Varian needs to be squeaky clean on all fronts this time. His religious zealot of a father will only pay for his school and boarding if he can prove he's cleaned up his act, and that includes those 'gay urges' Varian's preacher taught him to pray away. So far, it's going really well, as long as no one reads his search history or sees what happens to his face whenever his new roommate walks into the same room as him.

Hugo, an obsessed history buff, finds a way to travel back in time to 16th century Corona so he can do more in depth research for his PhD. After camping outside a medieval village, the townspeople suspect him of witchcraft and want him dead. Before he manages to escape, he has a run in with a deathly ill prince named Varian who learns that modern medicine exists and decides to do something risky.

A fighter pilot named Hugo, barely makes it out of a tough spot, crash landing into the fields of some remote farm country. The brilliant engineer and farm boy, Varian, finds the wreckage and the pilot. Offering to fix the plane, he hopes Hugo will agree to bring him along once the aircraft is fixed. Varian wants more than anything to prove himself in the world outside his quiet little town, but there's so much more to Hugo than he could ever imagine, not all things good.

Thousands of years into the future of humanity. We've left Earth and made our home in the stars, colonizing the galaxy. Just about everything is controlled by the Alliance and the wealthier core planets, though there are some who have tried to resist this control. Hugo couldn't care less about these politics as long as he has his ship and an open sky of stars to fly it in. Then Varian stows away on his ship and life gets much more complicated WARNING: This AU has more mature themes and content than my other story! This includes Explicit language, violence and blood, trauma, torture, minor character death and implied sex.

This is a comic book of the Tangled spinoff AU "Varian and the Seven Kingdoms."
