A shy and timid girl, Ava Smith, has a strange pendant on her neck given by her grandmother when she was a child. At the age of 15, she had move to Crown City with her father after her parents' divorce and went out exploring of a strange meteor nearby she heard on television before she met a boy named Russell from his father's scrapyard as they both encountered strange giant robots called the Autobots, who are on a mission to capture criminal robots called Decepticons.
