His enemy, a man he's despised since the beginning (see what I did there? ;)) is his roommate. As they are forced into some semblance of courtesy, something more forms.

In this particular world, you can tell your soulmate by drawings on the skin. When you draw something on your skin, anywhere on your body. It appears on your soulmates body too. and it goes away when you wash it away. Though tattoos and scars don't appear to show up. So, when your soulmate is basically your enemy.
