Alison DiLaurentis is Rosewood High School's newest English teacher. She was valedictorian of her year and graduate from Columbia University with a degree in English and Secondary Education. She has moved back to Rosewood to care for her younger sister Hanna who is a Senior at RHS. However, moving back to her hometown comes with a few obstacles, like meeting Hanna's friends, one of them being the schools biggest players, Emily Fields. When these two meet will Alison be able to keep to herself? Or will she have to bend the rules a bit? Or just break them all together?

Alison DiLaurentis and Emily Fields are inseparable friends who rely on their bond for comfort and support. In fact, they are so close that, after numerous failed attempts to click with the popular crowd, they are outed as lesbians.
