SynchroNet launches West Coast trucking service
Online container management tool SynchroNet Marine has launched SynchroMet, a tool for trucking companies around the Port of
Oakland to reduce the number of trips they need to make. The service has been under beta test with trucking companies since
April 2 of this year.
The idea is that many truckers drive to and from the port to various inland destinations with empty containers, and with an online
tool they can work out where empty containers are already lying idle at customer's facilities and cut down on the empty trips.
A dedicated website has been established, www.synchromet.com,
with information about port and marine terminal operations.
